Abstract: The artistry of landscape design is rested with the components and principles, with the practice of rational methods of analysis, and then, to lay the foundation on the relationships of design, art, economy, comprehensive function. With the aesthetic and scientific view to have repeated comparisons can eventually come up with a good design. Following the regular laws of formal beauty has become one of the guiding principles of landscape design. A study of the laws of formal beauty plays an essential role in landscape design to create an optimal human landscape system.

Abstract: The reconstruction and reutilization of the deserted industrial zone is a good way to review industrial economy and sustain the city context. In Xian, the culture center in the world, many textile factories were built around liberation and now there remains a lot of modern industrial heritage. Taking the environment renewal of Dahua Cotton Mill in Xian as the case, the thesis analyses its course of history, value and significance as well as the current situation, explores the way of reconstruction and reutilization of the deserted industrial zone. It argues that the reconstruction and reutilization of the deserted industrial zone can solve the environmental and social problem resulted from its function decline and continue city context.

Abstract: The based on research of complexity of cultural landscape and the present situation of China's cultural landscape protection, this paper redefines the methods of cultural landscape, from the perspective of new culture geography's academic claims. It also analyzes the three cultural landscape research entrances: time and spatial process, race identity and the relationship concept of human and land, and landscape as the veil. Taking Tibetan Buddhist cultural landscape as research object, this paper proposes the research path. Firstly, the basic research of cultural landscape dominated by the cultural turn could guide landscape texts reading. Secondly, from the cultural landscape change analysis, we could find the forces of cultural landscape. At last, it puts forward Multiple Integrity to guide the practice of cultural landscape protection and development.

Abstract: The traditional heritage corridor is considered as one strategy of regional heritage preservation which linked with urban green space system. However, heritage corridor is seen as one landscape with heritage preservation value and closely bound up with human activities and social conversations which related to the heritage corridor. In this paper, taking the region of Nanjing Qinhuai River from Shuixi Gate to Hanzhong Gate as an example, we divided the evaluation system into two aspects, elements of landscape and ways of observation, to discuss the interaction and relationship between the visual experiences of different human activities and the landscape quality of heritage corridor. Using qualitative study as its primary means while quantitative study as auxiliary one, we attempted to establish one quantitative visual evaluation system under the influence of multi-factor interactive model. With the system, we did the visual evaluation for that region considering different motion ways, which differs from the past single-factor qualitative research, for the aim of facilitating the landscape quality quantification.

Abstract: The effects of water stress on the two year old Vinca majorVariegata were tested for proving the irrigation guidance for its application in the garden. The results showed that the water flood and the drought stress suppressed the plant growth. After treated with flooding for 13days, the qP, ETR, Fv'/Fm' and net photosynthetic rate were decreased, but the qN were increased and the plants were dead. The mid drought stress (the water content of soil were between 20 percent and 30 percent) slightly affected the growth of plant, which embodies in the slight decline of chlorophyll, qP, ETR, Fv'/Fm', Fv/Fm and qP, the ascend of net photosynthetic rate. Drought Stress badly affected the growth of plant, which embodies in the decline of chlorophyll, qP, ETR, Fv'/Fm', Fv/Fm, qP and net photosynthetic rate. The best irrigation for plant was the water content of soil between 20 percent and 30 percent, which does not affect the ornamental value of Robinia pseudoacacia and save the irrigation water. So the application of V. majorVariegata should avoid in the place for over 13 days water flood.

Abstract: 24 periods of 10-day hierarchy schemes of the vegetation coverage of Turks County within 3 years are obtained through inversion, and annual change and interannual change of the vegetation coverage of Turks County are analyzed. The result demonstrates that the average vegetation coverage of the whole county is about 40%~45% during the returning green period, the peak value of the vegetation coverage appears in the last ten days of July, and the highest vegetation coverage of the three years is as high as 60% or above. During the past 12 years, the vegetation change of Turks County is stable-based that accounts for 39.6% of the total area of the county, the area of grassland slightly recovered equals to that of grassland slightly degraded, and the total of both lands is 39.1% of the whole county while the area of grassland significantly degraded accounts for only 8.7%.

Abstract: With respect to the fact that pure nature has been dissolved in the contemporary cities, and therefore, traditional defensive ecological design methods should go beyond the dualism of man-mad and nature towards more broad and more active approaches of ecological analysis and planning. As a part of this revaluating process, this essay investigates the possibility of using landscape - the man-made nature as a structuring medium to construct the new order of urban ecology, and proposes the emerging paradigm of designed ecology to rebuild large scale build environment and to recollect gradually fragmented urban fabrics.

Abstract: With the acceleration of global sustainable development, the shortage of water resources especially the city has become the focus of attention in all countries since water is the key to build a resources-saving ecological city. The article improved the existing "rain garden" project and replenished the purification of the rain in order to realize the urban water cyclic utilization ,through recycling rainwater, which can manage rainstorm effectively , improve the urban water cycle system, as well as supply urban irrigation and underground water. Besides, the combination of urban landscape and stormwater management system, if widely accepted, will not only improve the urban water problem, but also improve the urban environment, alleviating the urban heat island effect and improving the local climate. It can shape a new resources-saving ecological city and then realize the sustainable development of resources.

Abstract: This article described the operations of measurement, calculation and analysis of the cooling effect field of Shangcheng Park, the green space in Erqi Square Center of Zhengzhou City. This program is carried out in four steps. Firstly, the high-vegetation-quantity-area center was confirmed as the center point of the green space, and observation points and a reference one were also be identified. Secondly, field observation with instruments conducted and the data were kept records. Thirdly, Excel software was used to calculate the average daily temperature and the cooling rate of the green space. At last, analysis was given on the result of the operation. The results of Shangcheng Park study show that the cooling effect field of the green space has a radius of more than 60m, and distributes regularly.

Abstract: This paper focuses on the revitalization of underground space in commercial district of the old city. Firstly, the concept of urban regeneration is discussed from urban renewal to urban revitalization. Then, current issues of underground space and technical barriers of revitalization are analyzed. Finally, taking Xiguan Cross area as a case, a series of approach and measures are proposed.
