Abstract: A proper setting of boundary conditions is a standard upon which simulation results are justified. This study is specifically designed to simulate airflow over a repeating unit of simplified urban models with the application of periodic boundary condition. Similar setting of boundary conditions is used for all models which are of square layout with 25% packing density. The models are constructed with such that the initial velocity field is uniform throughout its internal domain. The results show that different domain heights of 4h and 5h (h as the building height) do not affect the spatial averaging of velocity profiles. In terms of the number of grids per building height, a finer meshing of 32 grids produce more accurate results of velocities and turbulence intensities compared with those of 25 grids when validated against the previous direct numerical simulation (DNS) data. Nevertheless, these criteria depend upon longer averaging period for better estimation of flow statistics. The boundary condition setting used in this preliminary study is nevertheless capable of producing current results comparable to past data although future works should focus on optimizing the important criteria in a simulation such as domain height, grid numbers, and averaging time.

Abstract: Hydraulic simulation models of water pipe networks (WPN) are routinely used for operational investigations and network design purposes. However, their full potential is often never realized because in the majority of cases, they have been calibrated with data collected manually from the field during a single historic time period and reflects the network operational conditions that were prevalent at that time. They were then applied as part of a reactive investigation. An urban water distribution network real time simulation system based on EPANET system using OPC (object linking and Embedding for Process control) communication was built in this paper. In order to make real-time simulation of water distribution network, the real-time data was collected every 15 minutes, the real time data were received and sent into water distribution network simulation model by OPC communication of EPANET system. The real-time data included total head of reservoir, flow rate, pressure, pump operation information. The real-time simulation system can give timely warning of changes for normal network operation, providing capacity to minimize customer impact and comparing the simulation results with the real-time data collected. The real time simulation system of urban water pipe network solved the problem of data input and user interaction compare to traditional network model. It offers a way for the development of intelligent water network.

Abstract: In the Green Building assessment system, vertical planting technology and criterion problems are neglected. This paper compared with the existing standards, and summarized the key technology in the actual project, pointing out that projects should be classified, both in different structure conditions and the use of various materials. Maintenance management scores of vertical planting in Green Building evaluation should be strengthened. This method exceeds traditional standard, and focus more on technology and the management of vertical planting in Green Building.

Abstract: Longxi Tower is the first time shift of pagoda relics in China. All the following factors increase the difficulty of the shift: long years’ construction, serious aging of its structure, poor integrity, small base area and great height. In the process, we used steel initiative urging support system and reinforced concrete protective tube for Longxi Tower’s reinforcement protection, so as to form a stable entirety. Compared to no protection measures, overturn-preventing calculations and further reinforce protection measures improved the safety factor 6.0 times, thus greatly improving the overturn-preventing ability of Longxi Tower.

Abstract: Green lighting technology has the advantages of energy efficiency, friendly environment, safety and comfort. Based on the introduction of green lighting technology, taken the Mt. Lushan West Sea tourist highway service as the case study, we analyzed light guide illumination, the optimum use of natural light and energy efficient lighting respectively from the aspects of technical characteristics and the specific highway service application. We finally made the economic analysis in the energy savings of green lights in the highway service, and the result showed that through the use of green lighting systems Mt. Lushan West Sea tourist highway service could save electricity and reduce operating costs 134,700 Yuan per year.

Abstract: It was a key procedure that the location selection of airport should be scientific and reasonable; this may make a great contribution towards the regional economic environment and also be very important to the construction of comprehensive transport system. So evaluation index system of the location selection of airport was based on technical indicators, economics, environmental impact and social significance. Experts adopted the weighted least-square method (WLSM) to calculate the weight of index. The linguistic variables figures were used to translate evaluation indexes from qualitative to quantitative, then the evaluation indexes of decision matrix was pooled and integrated. TOPSIS was introduced into this paper which can calculate the distance between two triangular fuzzy numbers. By calculating the distances to both the fuzzy positive-ideal solution and fuzzy negative-ideal solution synchronously, the degree of closeness was defined to estimate the ranking order of all alternatives. The scientific foundation for the decision-making of the location selection of airport had been provided by this mode.

Abstract: Low carbon is the trend of the future city development. Based on low carbon city concept, first of all, the reasonable development of low carbon urban traffic modes has been studied, for the slow transport, public transport and private transport between the proportion of low carbon city traffic have been analyzed; secondly, according to the commitments of Chinese government on Copenhagen World Climate Assembly in 2009, it has studied the low carbon city public transport minimum rate calculation method, puts forward the calculation formula of minimum bearing rate; Finally, taking a super-large city in central of China for example and using the formula above, the lowest rate of implementing low carbon urban public transport of the city in 2020 is calculated. Results show that on the basis of the city in 2008, the target year of 2020 is also need to increase 11% of the public transportation bearing rate.

Abstract: The choice of transportation scheme is the key in organizing the large-scale highway transportation. In order to guarantee the large-scale transportation safety and economical, and improve the scientific of large-scale highway transportation decision, the transportation scheme evaluation index system is constructed based on the analysis to some influential factors of highway transportation, the DEA/AHP method is used to select transportation scheme, which provides a quantitative method to solve the problem about the multi-criteria effective synthesis of highway transportation scheme evaluation. Finally, the rationality and validity of the method are validated by calculating the transportation example. The research results provide a scientific method which can be used by transportation enterprises to determine the large-scale highway transportation scheme, and provide a technical reference for the development of large-scale highway transportation.

Abstract: Subway running brings people great convenience, but at the same time, complaints and disputes caused by the subway vibration and noise have occurred repeatedly, the subway vibration and noise generated during the operation is a noteworthy environmental problem, noise reduction technology and relatively sound legal has been an institutional system which trend to perfect in foreign countries, however, the specific laws and codes about subway noise is very imperfect in China. This paper focuses on the legal and technical to analysis the reduction of the subway vibration and noise.

Abstract: “Smart City” equals “Digital City” plus “The Internet of things” and “Cloud Computing”. Vehicle networking (IOV), cloud computing and digital communication constitute the core of the intelligent traffic. Vehicle networking (IOV) refers to a fact that objects (cars and trucks, cars and roads, cars and people, vehicles and sensors, RFID and other devices which communicates with vehicles) consitute a dynamic mobile communication system through network. It can collect and share information among cars and cars, cars and people, cars and roads, vehicles and environment. In this information network platform, the multi-source information will be collected for processing, computing, and sharing as well as providing professional multimedia and mobile Internet applications . And we use MPI model to compute the large amount of information data . In this project, we achieve all the work which will be mentioned in this passage and we aim to use these technologies to resolve the computing problem in data processing and apply these new resolutions in smart city.
