Abstract: In this paper, we conduct research on the impact of multi-threading strategy on performance of end-to-end file transmission. As we all know, adopting multi-threading strategy in file transmission can greatly improve performance. However, the degree of such performance gains is not well documented. We first analyze the merits of file transmission utilizing multi-threaded transmission method. Then, to demonstrate the performance gains of multi-threaded transmission, an architecture which supports multi-threading transmission both in client side and server side is designed. We utilize the architecture in a real network and compare transmission performance by utilizing different parameters. Test results shows that multi-threading transmission achieves a better performance when compared to single-thread transmission. However, the performance gains are not proportional to the number of threads. Since file transmission is very normal in our daily life, it is expected the results in this paper will provide a guide for software vendor when multi-threading tools are developed.

Abstract: The development of sensor networks ,embedded systems and network technique has promoted the blossom of the Internet of things (IOT).However ,most of existing IOT systems are Web Services based and independent development ,which is of high coupling .Besides ,it is quite complex to add new applications to the system. This paper proposes an application of IOT development pattern ,which is based on REST style. It considers the sensor node and data generating process as resource ,and allows isomerous system modules build new application in the way of REST framework. At the same time, we designs the prototype of IOT service platform system and provides the specific implementation technique and system verification.

Abstract: With development of Internet, an increasing number of user-generated-contents provide valuable information to the public. Microblog is a new platform where peoples discuss all kinds of topics. It also provides a good opportunity for the researchers to explore the online public opinion. News collection and summarization has been attracted lots of research previously. However, manually labeling is impossible since the task is time-consuming. In this paper, we focus on news summarization with few labeled samples. A semi-supervised learning method has been proposed to tackle the problem. We employ Co-Training method to extract the news information. Posts and replies of Microblog have been identified as two independent views to train a classification model. Entity, Time, place and incident of news have been identified as well. Experimental result in different datasets shows the proposed method outperform the baseline methods.

Abstract: In this paper, we present a fingerprint positioning technique based on differential received signal strength (DRSS).By using DRSS fingerprints, the problem of degraded accuracy caused by heterogeneous devices in indoor WLAN localization. The robustness of DRSS fingerprints is proved, both theoretically and practically, to be better than that of RSS, thus the applicability as well as accuracy is improved in a WLAN indoor localization system with various devices.

Abstract: In mobile ad hoc networks, node mobility causes frequent link failures, thus invalidating the routes containing those links. Once a link is detected broken, an alternate route has to be discovered. That will impose significant affect on the route stability and the overall performance of the network. We suggest discovering contained stable links routes based on fuzzy control. When mobile node S wishes to send a packet to a destination mobile node D, node S transmits a ROUTE REQUEST (RREQ) message which contains its velocity and direction as a single local broadcast packet. When one mobile node i (it is not D) receiving RREQ, it first gets the velocity and direction of previous node, then estimates the link stability between two nodes based on fuzzy logic. When the link stability come up to a certain standard, node i adds its address to RREQ and forward it, otherwise, discard it. Simulations show that the proposed PLSR (Mobility Prediction-based Link Stability Routing Protocol) outperforms DVMP (Distance Vector protocol with Mobility Prediction that uses GPS) [8].

Abstract: This paper presents a dual research scheme of macro and micro to analyze the key indicators that affect user experience. Firstly, we developed an Android client on Tencent Micro-blog based on the development platform of Tencent Micro-blog. Secondly, an automated test system was developed based on the client. Then, information was got from Tencent Micro-blog's web pages based on the WebCrawler technology. Finally, the key factors that affect microblog business were analysed according to the indicators of the automated test system and the results which were gained by the WebCrawler technology. The results showed that the network environment can greatly influence the business experience, ideally, refreshing micro-blog delayed 1200ms, sending pictures delayed 1300ms, and sending text delayed 500ms;The volume of business also changed in different seasons, the business peak is from July to September and November to December. Conclusion:Tencent Micro-blog should adjust the service resources properly according to its own business characteristics and save network overhead from the perspective of the system optimization.

Abstract: The design and study of parking meter with the use of "cradle to cradle" (C2C) design method have an important impact on the sustainable development of cities. Based on the discussions on designing methods and principles of C2C, this paper has analyzed sustainable designing strategies, methods and procedures of parking meters by combining with designing cases of it. Finally, a summary and a prospect on the C2C design and study of parking meters has been conducted in the end of this paper.

Abstract: Due to the instability and low precision of electromagnetic position trackers and the inefficiency of existing calibrating methods, a method with high accuracy and effectiveness for FOB (Flock of Birds) calibration was studied. The components, operational principle, merits and drawbacks of FOB were briefly introduced. The positions of 343 sampling points set in the effective working area were measured and the data was processed for trainings and tests of the calibration model established using genetic algorithm and BP algorithm. Experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the method and the results showed the calibrated tracker’s average errors in the X, Y, and Z direction were 0.86cm, 0.70cm and 0.83cm respectively, meeting the requirements of human-computer interaction.
