Abstract: Stadium vomitory width plays a very important role in the evacuation process of large number of spectators. The current estimation method of vomitory minimum width in China building codes often brings architects misunderstanding in the egress design and evacuation performance of stadiums. Therefore, this paper investigates the composition of spectator crowds in different events hosted in stadiums, their movement capability and way-finding behaviors, build a typical unit of terraced stand based on the parameters given by building codes, use agent-based model STEPS to simulate and analyze the effect of vomitory width on stadium evacuation efficiency. The simulated results show that the vomitory width affects stadium evacuation efficiency very differently. Architects should organize the circulation system reasonably and provide guidance for spectator crowds while designing the stadiums, not blindly increase the vomitory.

Abstract: Architectural history of China is all about the forms of mute objects and urban plans as well as architectural technology and spatial art. The role of men in the process of construction is neglected. The detail of the men working on the project should be made visible in the history. Only in this way, we can understand a whole architecture or a city plan [1]. The story of how to start a project and how to manage a project is a very important part of architectural history because a building or a city should not be allowed to construct without a reasonable demand and should not be constructed without management specially a large scale of project. Accordingly, management and historical background should be reflected in the history of a building or a city plan, rather than leaving them as anonymous elements behind the history. In this paper, some examples are taken to exemplify why the role of men is neglected from the state institute to the craftsmen themselves and the importance of the role in a construction. How to manage or determine a project is also studied to exemplify part of the reason why traditional architecture in China develops in this way [2].

Abstract: In the course on recalling the history of modern college library, the article excavated that modern college library was formed the decisive planning mode and architectural style before last century 80's, as a major member of universities’ architecture. And to a great extent, it influenced university library after last century 80's. In order to explain this phenomenon intuitively, the article has carried on the massive on-the-spot investigation and the research, then has expounded their historical value, artistic value and scientific value, and finally gives the new development suggestion through undeceiving demonstration of argumentation. The article also lies in enlightening more experts of other cities on research relevantly, so that the development status of college library has presented in precise term throughout the country, and then afforded us a useful reference in creating college library further better.

Abstract: Sustainable architecture design is a kind of system design, which helps to solve all the economic, social and environmental issues simultaneously as a single system. It is directed by the system theory and has changed the traditional linear thinking into system thinking. Because of the poor city planning, solving the energy crisis has becoming a most important consideration of modern sustainable architecture design. About 50% of all the poisonous substances generate from the transportation and construction of the building materials. It is time to reflect on the relationship of all the components in the ecology system. In order to understand the theory well under the complex ecosystem, the paper integrates with the practical case to help analyze the sustainable architecture. Directed by the system thinking in the architecture design, we hope to obtain the goal of minimum consumption, maximum effectiveness.
