Abstract: The finite element software ABAQUS is employed to study the force of transverse frame of piled wharves under the berthing loads. Several setups of the foundation of piles, single, double, triple piles and transverse bent, are modeled and the deformation and deflection under different setups are calculated. The deformation properties of transverse bent are analyzed under the berthing loads.

Abstract: A quasi static finite element method for assessing cyclic bearing capacity of semi-circular guiding dike on natural or reinforced soft clay foundation is developed by combining the concept of cyclic shear strength with D-P yield criterion. Then the proposed method is numerically implemented in the framework of the large universal finite element software. Combining with a practical engineering, the stability of semi-circular guiding dike before and after foundation reinforcement is analyzed. The results showed that the foundation bearing capacity decreases obviously when cyclic weakening effect of soft foundation was considered, so cyclic weakening effect of soft foundation under cyclic wave load should be considered in practical design. Moreover, foundation reinforcement has an obvious effect to increase foundation bearing capacity.

Abstract: Numerical simulations are made for 10 storm wave processes during the period of 2008-2010, based on SWAN, with the Myers wind field, CCMP wind filed and the combination of the two as the storm driving wind field respectively. The results are compared with the observations from Jason-1 satellite altimeter during tropical cyclones (TCs). It indicates that Myers wind field makes a good agreement with measured values near the TC center, while CCMP wind field makes a good agreement with measured values far away from the TC center. Synthesis of the wind field combines the merit of the Myers wind field and CCMP wind field, and it is more in line with the wind field distribution; the simulation results of synthesized wind field make a good agreement with the measured results, with maximum deviation of -0.62m, mean deviation of -0.11m.

Abstract: According to the measured wave data for one year in Kerry deepwater port sea area, Cameroon, the wave spectrum characteristics calculate using fast Fourier transform method; the result shows that the bimodal spectrum is given priority to this sea area, and the big wave appears in summer and autumn, the long period wave influence is opposite bigger that should be pay attention.

Abstract: Compared with the siphon channel with one inlet, the siphon channel with two inlets has some problems such as low efficiency of flooding. Combining with the model test of siphon channel with two inlets in a drydock, three-dimensional numerical model was built to study the hydraulic characteristics of siphon channel system. The reliability of numerical model was confirmed by comparing the calculated value and measured value of hump pressure and flooding rate. Results of turbulent kinetic energy and dissipation rate indicate that flow kinetic energy is mainly dissipated by the friction and its impacting the wall behind partition and the effect of energy dissipation pillars are not obvious. By comparing flow state in front of energy dissipation section and flooding rate between design scheme and modified scheme, it is suggested that the guide wall should be dismantled to ameliorate flow state.

Abstract: Setting some projects including surface subsidence, pore water pressure and deep horizontal displacement etc, tracking monitoring soil deformation during construction, and controlling reasonable loading rate are the guarantee of safety and stability of foundation and structure during the construction of south breakwater of industrial park. Monitoring result shows that subsidence and displacement meet the design requirement, with more than 85% of foundation consolidation degree and every controllable parameter index, which achieves stability, safety and informatization construction of breakwater engineering, and guides similar engineering effectively.

Abstract: The Haikou Macun Port is the harbor located in the Chengmai Bay of the southern Qiongzhou Strait, China. The principle for the constructing harbor and waterway is the layout should be conformed to the current field. The layout planning port area is studied from the view of hydrodynamics with a wave-current coupling hydrodynamic model of the Mike21 software package. The results show that the large area flow field is substantially unchanged after project construction and the effect is restricted to a small region near around the Macun Port.

Abstract: The fatigue strength of weldments is remarkably different form smooth specimens due to the welding. To deal with the fatigue assessment of the various types of the weldments, the weld detailing catalog is widely adopted in the fatigue recommendations. This paper focuses on the comparison of fatigue design recommendations for welded details. Meanwhile the resent development method in the fatigue assessment is also discussed.

Abstract: With the rapid development of China's construction industry, the production of construction waste has become a growth trend.Construction of waste treatment is urgently needed in the old main building demolition materials, crushed bricks and earth accounts for more than 90%.[1]Studies show that the root cause of a large number construction waste is that the awareness of the value of construction waste recycling still unclear.

Abstract: This article takes the composite wall slab that be connected by reinforcing bar trusses as an example, research the method and steps of calculating the carrying capacity of precast concrete composite heat-insulation wall slab. Finally,The equation for calculating the carrying capacity of precast concrete composite heat-insulation wall slab is obtained by theoretical analysis and finite element modeling, this provide a basis for how to use the composite wall safely in engineering.
