Abstract: The paper identifies the relevance of research on the effectiveness of fire-technical processes in energy devices (boilers, furnaces and internal combustion engines, etc.) in order to optimize them and improve their reliability. The survey revealed the closeness of calculation methods for such devices. The development of engineering methodology of design and verification calculations is necessary for the further development of vibration combustion machines production industry. The author identifies the main problems of formation of calculating methodology for energy devices operating on the basis of vibration combustion. To determine the frequency of the impulse response of these devices the author proposes a mathematical model and the description of the process of the thermodynamic fluctuations in the combustion chamber, allowing to determine the reliability and efficiency of these devices for different purposes based on the principle of self-oscillating combustion of fuel at the design stage.

Abstract: The paper presents new structural solutions for industrial energy and resource saving structures of public buildings with predetermined level of structural safety. The basis of the solutions is pre-cast (with cast-in-place concrete) bearing structures of internal longitudinal and transverse bearing walls of panel members, interconnected floor slabs and exterior self-bearing walls supported on straight or curved L-girders with thermal insulation holes The stiffness of a building with proposed solutions is provided by all structural elements connected in a special way. The authors also present some results of experimental and theoretical studies, pilot design projects, real construction and feasibility assessment of public buildings with proposed solutions.

Abstract: This paper suggests methods of using of alternative sources of energy for SIP-houses building in conditions of Kazakhstan. The model of "Polygon for the use of renewable energy” was developed. This model demonstrates possibilities of transforming wind and solar energy into electric and heating energy.

Abstract: The aim of this work is to harmonize the international certification of "green" construction. For comparison taken American LEED, DGNB German and Russian RGNB, the first two as well-established, and the latter as emerging. The paper discusses the evaluation criteria, as well as sites that claim to be "green." Revealed significant advantages of this construction at the international level.

Abstract: This article is dedicated to the project of elementary school building in Gaziantep, Turkey. Particular interest in the construction of energy-effective buildings, appeared in last years, stipulate relevance and importance of this work. The main of the article is to describe the project and to estimate it from the point of energy-efficiency.Architectural and constructional decisions were also substantiated in the work and special attention was put on the possibility of reaching target values of energy-efficiency criteria by using different ways of energy consumption reduction. As the conclusion, it could be said that the building belongs to the highest class of energy-efficiency.

Abstract: Energy saving techniques including the use of alternative energy sources become more and more popular. One of the alternative energy sources is wind. Wind turbines are highly relevant in the areas of wind (such as coasts). This paper proposes a method of increasing the power of wind turbine due to architectural solutions such as streamlining facade by the example of the school. The calculations of the real increase in wind speed and power of the selected wind turbine have been promoted. The payback period graphs of the unit have been discovered in two variants (with changing the façade and without changing the facade). The economic impact has been analyzed. It has been concluded that the proposed scheme is profitable.

Abstract: This article contains information about power economic estimation of power complexes creation based on renewable energy located in north regions with decentralized electric supply, where in the main electricity is produced by diesel power plants. Problems of using diesel power plants is measured; investigation of introducing wind-diesel power complexes is shown. Article contains information about power economic estimation, which allows to find out optimized solution to problem of choosing optimized energy and economic parameters of energy complexes.

Abstract: To develop potential of the cities in the field of energy efficiency improvements and use of renewables, there is a need for new and more ambitious goals in line with the actual situation. Growing concern of smart city development and urban resilience has become increasingly embedded in urban planning, national security and energy policy. One of the main city documents focused on actions and measures to be implemented in City is Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP), which is the key document in which the Covenant signatory outlines how it intends to reach its CO2 reduction target by 2020. Taking into account specifics of modern cities and future city development at Smart City level the existing SEAP should be enhanced. Nowadays it is necessary to bring existing standalone energy actions at cross sector level in order to ensure urban resilience. Currently there are 3414 cities across the Europe and eastern partners which already have developed SEAP. The paper draws attention to areas with high impact to smart city development. In terms of Smart Cities the most powerful actions are those which directly affect at least these three sectors - energy, ICT and transport. Paper provides some good practice examples from the city of Riga. The losses of the heat transmitted to consumers by JSC "Rigas Siltums" - main heat supplier of Riga have been decreased by 667 thous. MWh or 2.45 times in comparison to year 1996/1997. Following the completion of reconstruction of the boiler houses, construction of a biofuel fired water heating boiler, construction of the biofuel fired cogeneration plant, installation of flue gas condensers for biofuel fired boilers at the DHP the share of biofuel utilization within the fuel balance of the JSC „RĪGAS SILTUMS” will reach 20.4% in fiscal year 2013/2014. The total energy produced from renewable energy sources since 01.01.1996 until 8.04.2014 is 920463.107 MWh. The project “Heat meters automatic remote reading system” proved to be a successful and reliable solution for the control and accounting of consumed heat, as well as related tasks enabling “online communication” with 8000 individual heating units throughout the Riga city. Development and introduction of electric cars and filling station infrastructure in Riga was one more step on the way to the SMART CITY status. Despite a fairly long payback period electric cars are quite beneficial solution for some companies whose activities are related with vehicles’ high mileage within the city as LLC “Rigas Satiksme
