Abstract: Experimental measurements of actual hot water consumption in residential building have been performed. It was established that distribution of hot water for domestic needs has random character and constitutes non-stationary process. It was proposed for hot water supply systems calculation to employ “rated mode of water consumption”. Rated mode is a simplified mathematical description of entire ordered collection of hourly consumptions anticipated during rated period of hot water supply system operation. Most precise description of water consumption rated mode may be obtained with coefficient of general hourly discontinuity at 98% coverage. Selection of hot water metering devices for residential house requires that operating flow rate of water meter should correspond by maximum to residential building water consumption parameters. Methods of calculation of daily water volumes passing through water meter at flow rates lower than transient flow rate value for the specified device were proposed.

Abstract: Paper presents feasibility study of the absorption chiller integration. In the search model system of air conditioning uses absorption chiller instead of the standard vapor compression chiller due to the fact of insufficient electrical supply of the building. Calculated payback periods show limits of the effective applying of the absorption chiller.

Abstract: Considering nowadays growth of electronic data, the necessity of major data centers establishment is also increasing. Such centers may contain data distribution, storing and processing systems, like servers. The equipment generates huge heat energy, so an appropriate microclimate is required in such premises. High capacity air conditioners are used for maintaining of appropriate parameters and assuring normal functioning of these systems. Herein you can find comparison analysis of central and precision air conditioning systems considering two parameters: cost and energy efficiency for the central regions of the Russian Federation. During such comparison analysis the most cost-efficient and ergonomic air conditioning system was revealed for the Data Center Berzarina, Moscow.

Abstract: District heating is widespread in Russia, but to improve the energy efficiency of heat supply current is the transition from district heating to modern individual heating substation (IHS) with automatic regulation of heat - more cost-effective heating system. This article provides a description of the automatic IHS, its advantages over the district heating and calculation of the economy of heat when it is installed. As a result, the calculation result is obtained, proving the feasibility of using such a system.

Abstract: The article describes numerical method of physical gas flow parameters recovery at accidents investigation, which are conditioned by guillotine rupture of a segment in gas trunkline and distribution pipeline systems. The information about full-scale measurements of time dependences of gas flow parameters at defined points inside pipelines system and at its boundaries is the base for recovery implementation at numerical investigation of accidents. Numerical recovery is carried out by defining and solving a special identification problem.

Abstract: The knowledge of temperature and air consumption at the output of a convection heater is required to develop an effective system protecting serviced room zones against descending cold air flow near the glassing. The existing method of heat appliances’ study and calculation, which uses an idea of nominal heat flow, does not provide those parameters. The analytic correlation between aerodynamical and thermotechnical characteristics of heat convectors with natural circulation at nominal conditions is established. The experimental estimation of air consumption and local resistance coefficient of „Atoll“ (PKN 309) convection heater is carried out. The obtained dependencies allow calculating temperature and air consumption at convection heater output by the existing method of heat appliances’ calculation using nominal heat flow.

Abstract: It is known that the area of the implementation of automated systems for remote control of the technological processes of gas transportation and distribution, as well as its commercial metering and consumption is set for the settlements with population exceeding 100 thousand people. It has a centralized structure, including the lower level − controlled stations, and the upper level − central dispatcher board, which is implemented in the form of automation-equipped workstations connected using computer networks.
