Abstract: Southern understory forage, as a new economic model, had achieved sustainable development and rational use of energy resources and forestry. Understory forage briquetting was not only suitable for storage, transport and commercialization, it was but also beneficial to the quality of hay and to income increases of farmers. This paper investigated the different briquetting factors and nutritional value in southern understory grass such as ryegrass, sudan grass, corn grass and bahia grass. Meanwhile, taking ryegrass as an example, the changes of nutrients before and after briquetting has also been investigated.

Abstract: Enhanced ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation has potentially harmful effects on terrestrial plant growth and development. To examine the effects of enhanced UV-B radiation on growth and photosynthesis, four elite maize inbred lines and their hybrids were irradiated with UV-B in glasshouse for 0h,2h,4h and 6h per day, a total of four days treatment. Under enhanced UV-B radiation, the fresh weight, dry weight, net photosynthetic rate and Fv/Fm of six maize seedlings were inhibited in a dose-dependent manner, with greater inhibition at the high dose. Among four maize inbred lines, Zheng58 was tolerant and Chang7-2 was susceptible to UV-B radiation. In two hybrids, Nongda108 was significantly superior to Zhengdan958 under three different UV-B treatments. The results showed that the responses of six materials to enhanced UV-B are not only inbred-specific but also hybrid-specific, and there exhibits the heterosis in crosses of maize inbred lines under enhanced UV-B.

Abstract: According to the investigation on the vegetation characteristics of roadside slopes in Zigui County of Three Gorges Reservoir area, there were total 51 species of plant found, belonging to 17 families and 43 genera, among which herbs and shrubs are dominant plants. Most species of plants were belonging to Gramineae (6 species), Asteraceae (4 species), Leguminesae (4 species) and Rosaceae (3 species), and 11 relatively stable plant communities were found. The vegetation on the investigated roadside slope is distributed in spot piece and scattered mainly with fewer species of plant, with lower species diversity. The diversity index and the evenness index of every plant community were calculated and the summed dominance ratio of every plant was analyzed to find out dominant species in each of the communities. The formation and succession of these communities, species were enriched and diversity increased, which is good for the vegetation restoration on the roadside slope.

Abstract: Nine newly bred peanut genotypes from our research group were analyzed for their seed fatty acid composition. Oleic, linoleic and palmitic acids were 3 major fatty acids in peanut seed oil, together constituting 89.65%-91.83% of total fatty acids in peanut seeds. Five of the peanut lines/cultivars tested had an oleate to linoleate ratio (O/L) of 19.11-31.37, and may be classified as high-oleic, providing good sources for biodiesel production. Of them, 12L48 is most promising due to its high productivity and saline tolerance.

Abstract: As a fuzzy mathematics method, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used in various fields, and achieves good results. The purpose of this paper is to use this method to analyze ecological environment greening of the poyang lake. After obtaining the relevant data, it is concluded that the present ecological environment greening of poyang lake is good by using the fuzzy mathematics comprehensive evaluation method.

The main features of the line are horizontal landscape factor features, vertical landscape factor features and road furniture factor features. Under the condition of analyzing the major dependent landscape factors by the landscape index analysis,this treatise takes an the city trunk toads in Hong’ an, Hubei as an example to obtain quantitative sensory results.and specific landscape indexes conclusions by expert scoring and fuzzy analyzing, and to instruct the city landmark linear landscape specifically.

Development and Evaluation of the Sustainable Management Index System for Fujian Coastal Shelterbelt
Abstract: Sustainable management means the operation and construction of coastal shelterbelt, Sustainable management for the establishment of the index system is the premise of sustainable management of coastal protection forest management research. This paper, based on Fujian Coastal Shelterbelt management practice and using the AHP and expert investigation method, gives a description on coastal shelterbelt sustainable management index system which contains 26 indicators at 4 levels and 12 variables. Then the current condition of Fujian coastal shelterbelt sustainable management has been evaluated with the index system. The result shows that the comprehensive index is 0.7896. The tendency of the sustainable management is basically sustainable. The key factors of coastal shelterbelt sustainable management are found according to the evaluation. Those factors include protective maturity, the forest coverage rate, the proportion of area of nature reserves, the volume per unit area, the area of forest types by age class division and ratios of coastal shelterbelt and so on.

Abstract: This paper aims to provide a clear understanding of the characteristics and spatial-temporal pattern of the eco-environmental quality (EEQ) in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration. Based on the 500m × 500m pixel scale, the evaluation was carried out using the Ecological Index (EI). Results show that the EEQs are both classified into “Moderately high” level in 2005 and 2010. It exhibits obvious spatial variability with Shanghai-Nanjing belt as a demarcation belt, indicating that EI values are higher in the south and lower in the north while EEQ in the belt is the worst. Further research demonstrates it is policy-induced emission reduction that gave rise to the overall eco-environmental improvement from 2005 to 2010, followed by an increase in the volume of water resources and green space. The EEQs of Shanghai, Jiaxing, Nantong, Lianyungang, Yancheng and Xuzhou are more constrained and influenced by EI-related factors.
