Abstract: Currently, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is widely used in various fields, but a shortcoming is that the process of service discovering and matching is limited only to syntactic level which easily leads to information mismatching. In this paper, we propose semantic SOA for missile design system, which introduces SOA to missile design area. The semantically improved system uses ontologies to define semantics among services and integrates isolated information. Moreover, we describe services in a way combining WSDL and tuple description method together which enables automatic service discovery and matching. At last, we discuss the concept of "semantic template" that allows service requesters to create a semantic rich description of services.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the relationship between virtual manufacturing (VM) and digital factory (DF), in order to distinguish the two concepts. Based on the thought of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), compare with the definition of VM, the paper gives the definition of DF, and analyzes the category and system characteristics of DF from narrow and broad point of view. The structural relationship and operation mechanisms of VM, narrow sense DF and broad sense DF are analyzed from the perspective of functional integration. During the phase of system implementation, from the perspectives of key technologies, implementation contents, implementation characteristics and important objectives, the characteristics of the three modes of production are summarized, the conclusion of system implementation under the condition of existing technology is obtained, and the potential application of narrow sense DF is researched.

Abstract: Cable design and routing is a time-consuming and costly process for industrial complex products, traditionally it is finished by experienced engineers through soft lead or aluminum wire fitting in physical models, or by automatic or semi-automatic computing method in CAD system, but both with little success. In this paper, a new haptic-based interactive method is proposed. After rigid product models are loaded from CAD system, a geometry modeling method is used to represent cable shape, a physics modeling method for calculating cable deformation, and a haptic modeling method for interaction and force feedback. In this prototyping system, the user can define cable position and path, change its shape and size, and then simulate the design and routing process with haptic to feel the touch, collision and force feedback.

Abstract: The integration of multi-view data in the acquisition of complex surface is researched by using the CMM (coordinate measuring machine) and the laser tracking scanning system. A multi-view data integration method based on the auxiliary reference plane is presented. With the precise auxiliary reference plane, the data measured by the different measuring devices and measuring views are aligned and the accuracy is analyzed. If the error is controlled in a certain range, this method can satisfy the demands of the model and assembly. The problems of low-efficient and low-accuracy in the data fusion of complex surface during the reverse engineering are solved. Meanwhile, the advantages of the different measuring devices and measuring methods are developed. This method has been applied to the reverse engineering development for a motorcycle cover model. The practical result shows that this new method is feasible and efficient.

Abstract: Vehicle crashworthiness is one of the most important indicators to assess the automotive performance, which is directly related with passenger’s life and safety. Therefore, more attention has been paid to improve the automotive passive safety. This paper presents the analysis method based on energy flow analysis to solve the automotive crashworthiness problem. The energy transfer model is built based on the constraints analysis for product performance and the rational energy flow element partition. According to the energy transfer model, the energy absorption of each component can be attained from the finite element crash simulation result and also the energy distribution relationship can be analyzed. Based on the analysis results, the full front impact crashworthiness of a car is improved by modifying the energy flow path and distribution. It also demonstrates that the method is effective to solve the automotive crashworthiness problem.

Abstract: Cleaner production, a new manufacturing mode, is the inevitable choice for enterprise to achieve sustainable development in low-carbon economy era. Cleaner process design method is guided by the thought of cleaner production. The method, under the premise of product quality, comprehensively considers factors like resources, environment, productivity and cost, and optimizes the steps and content of process, then develops a resource efficiency cleaner process for transformation of raw materials to products, which has little influence on environment. By adopting modern quality design technology, and introducing ‘House of Environment’ into the cleaner process design as an analytical tool, this paper presents a detailed discussion on cleaner process design method based on the principle of ‘House of Environment’ with an example to illustrate the points.

Abstract: Networked manufacturing technology has provided an effective approach to integrating manufacturing resources over Internet. However, a vast number of resources involving networks, computing, and storage resulted in ever increasing energy consumption. This paper proposed an IT energy-saving approach based on Cloud Computing for networked green manufacturing. The paper first presented the architecture of networked green manufacturing on Cloud Computing to support service-oriented IT resources outsourcing. Then the paper discussed the dynamically-scalable resource utilization mechanism for networked manufacturing. The approach can provide effective support for manufacturing resource virtualization and deliver a variety of services to distributed manufacturing enterprises. Moreover, IT resources of network, computing, and storage can be shared concurrently and scheduled dynamically that are adaptive to practical resource demand of collaborative manufacturing tasks. Thus, a great amount of IT resources can achieve high efficient utilization in networked manufacturing and result in reduced energy consumption to benefit green manufacturing.

Abstract: Grinding is often to use the grinding fluid because of the high temperature in the grinding area. During the process of grinding, which is used traditional way of grinding fluid supply, gas barrier layer which around high-speed rotary wheel impeded effective grinding fluid into grinding zone, so it creates huge waste and pollution. Minimum quantity lubricant (MQL) grinding as a way of Green Manufacturing is proposed in recent years. So far, the problem of MQL can be applied in grinding has not been confirmed. In this paper, the applicability of MQL in grinding is studied by comparing the experiment of traditional grinding fluid supply method, minimum quantity lubricant grinding method and dry grinding method, and this study is based on theoretical analysis of minimum quantity lubricant grinding.

Abstract: The corona characteristic of HVDC tube bus is the main factor taken into account for choosing tube bus of HVDC converter substation. The intension of corona could affect the electromagnetic environment of converter station and generate audible noise. By establishing the calculation models of electric field strength along the tube bus surface and the electric field strength on ground, the paper computes the corona onset voltage gradient and gives the relation curve of high and electrode spacing of tube bus. If the tube bus in HVDC converter substation is installed at the high and electrode spacing, got by the relation curve, it will not generate corona and its electric field strength will meet the requirements. The control indexes of tube bus corona characteristic parameters for HVDC converter substation are confirmed in combination with calculation results and related standards. Based on the control indexes, the paper gives the collocations of different tube bus types.

Abstract: In order to protect the environment and save resources, as well as to improve the green design level of mechanical products, an evaluation indicator system for green design is called to be established. After Referencing the existing evaluation principles and objectives to propose green design evaluation indicator system of mechanical products, the idea of case-based reasoning (CBR) is used to construct the indicators library. Also, the method of cluster is utilized to subdivide the library, aiming to optimize the indicator library and to improve the accuracy of evaluation in the process of constructing the indicator library. Finally, a CBR-based indicator library was constructed.
