Abstract: The reliability model of the main beam of a loading platform was established when the beam strength failure occurs through introducing the improved first order and second moment (AFOSM) technique into reliability analysis and combining the loading characteristics of the loading platform of the rotating stereo garage. Then the limit state carrying capability equations of the beam key sections were built using this new model. The principle which the reliability sensitivity of the main beam changes with the force was obtained through calculating with this model. The influences of the structure parameters on reliability were analyzed finally. These results of the study provide a theoretical basis for the structural reliability design of the main beam.

Abstract: Based on multi-body dynamics, the virtual prototype model of the tape feeder is set up, and the impact of the external torque and the friction coefficient on the whole system is analyzed. Simulation results show that the external torque has great influence on the required motor torque: when the external torque increases from 50N.mm to 200N.mm, the required motor torque increases from 75.217N.mm to 223.98N.mm. The friction damping also has great influence on the motor torque: when the dynamic friction coefficient increases from 0.001 to 0.009 and the static friction coefficient increases from 0.003 to 0.011, the required motor torque increases from 106.92N.mm to 158.81 N.mm.

Abstract: In order to effectively prevent the rock burst occurrence for mining patter with no pillar, the reason and its realization condition of rock burst were studied; the stope structure mechanics model with working face mining was built; four phases of rock burst occurrence with mining were proposed; the relationship between rock burst occurrence and abutment pressure law of development was analyzed, time-space coupling relationship of rock burst and its relevant information for rock burst control were obtained.

Abstract: Magnetic compass adjustment is an indispensable work during ship operation, and its procedure can not be simulated in a real ship by traditional teaching methods, which has become a bottleneck to magnetic compass learners. The procedure of magnetic compass adjustment is simulated by virtual reality modeling language(VRML). Three-dimensional interactive demonstrations of magnetic compass’ structure and adjustment procedure are implemented. So learners will have a direct cognition to the adjustment procedure of heeling deviation, semicircular deviation and quadrantal deviation. The realization process of simulation in the virtual reality environment is described in detail and the relevant source codes are given.

Abstract: We studied the effects of surface modification of bentonite with chitosan on its ability to adsorb Congo Red (CR) dye. The adsorption behavior of CR from aqueous solution onto raw (RB) and chitosan-modified (CMB) bentonite samples was investigated as a function of parameters such as initial CR concentration, contact time, pH and temperature. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to confirm the surface modification. Compared with RB, the adsorption capacity of CMB for CR was greatly enhanced. Kinetic studies indicated that the adsorption of CR on both RB and CMB followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. From the thermodynamic parameters, the adsorption of CR on RB and CMB is spontaneous and endothermic. The results indicate that chitosan-modified bentonite provides an important advantage for CR dye adsorption over raw bentonite.

Abstract: Gangue and fly ash combined mining technology is the direct filling of the gangue and fly ash to the surface by the feed delivered to the face well, and then filling is in gob areas, while ensuring under the premise of the safe use of surface buildings subjects to the normal maximum level for achieving Coal Mining under the buildings. In the paper, gangue and fly ash on the exploitation of the feed system were designed for filling and compaction equipment, the hydraulic mining was developed on the backfill mining, the conveyor was modified, and the gangue and fly ash mining technology were designed. As the result, the filling rate and surface subsidence was controlled effectively, the service life of the mine was extended, and the good economic and social benefits were achieved.

Abstract: A series of arsenate substituted chlorapatite was directly prepared through aqueous precipitation method. Characterization studies from elemental analysis, XRD, FT-IR spectra and SEM confirmed the forming of the arsenate/phosphate chlorapatite solid solutions. The XRD analysis indicated the typical solid solution phase of the apatite-type structure. In FT-IR spectra, the area of the phosphate peak was gradually suppressed and the arsenate peak increased as the proportion of the arsenate increased. The solids with As/(As+P) molar ratio of 0.49~1.0 were needle-like crystals; those with As/(As+P) molar ratio <0.19 were large tabular.

Abstract: Consider the reconstruction problem for the heat flux in moving boundary in heat conduction.By introducing a density function for potential method, this problem is essentially converted into solving an integral equation of the first kind with respect to the density function, which can be solved by the Tikhonov regularizing method. Model function method is used to determine the regularizing parameter. Numerical results are presented to support our inversion schemes.

Abstract: . With the rapid development of scientific technology, the current skills and knowledge has become more and more important. Engineering technical personnel need long-life learning to improve them for competitiveness. Therefore, long-life learning should be enhanced in engineering education. This paper explains the meaning of long-life learning, analyzes the reasons long-life learning being enhanced in engineering education, the influence on engineering education and engineering technical. Some suggestions about enhancing long-life learning in engineering education and keeping good habits of long-life learning are also put forward.

Abstract: A magnesium alloy substitution design for an automotive seat back frame is carried out. With the magnesium extrusion profiles and the stamping panel integrated, the weight of the seat back frame is reduced by 41.3% and the lightweight goal is achieved. At the same time, the magnesium alloy stamping panel is processed warm forming analysis and verified the formability of the magnesium alloy panel. Numerical calculations comparing the original structure and the substitution design are performed with finite element software, which ensured that the performance indicators such as the mode, the strength and the stiffness defined by related regulatory requirements are all realized. At last, a magnesium alloy substitution design has been proved to be successful.
