Abstract: A lapping and polishing technology of flotation cushion was studied and some improved equipments were carried out to polish flotation cushion with the structure of variable-section pressure equalizing groove. Main parameters of lapping and polishing (e.g. abrasive disk rotate speed, abrasive disk stress, abrasive category, abrasive grain diameter, slurry density and abrasive disk material) were changed to find out impact parameters of surface quality. Optimization parameters of lapping and polishing of cushion were gotten and mirror finish was achieved. Experiments show that the processed surface with this technology is pinch rolling and no scratch based on the optimization parameters.

Abstract: Grinding wheel diameter is one of the most important parameter during the entire process of hob relief grinding and it must be analyzed and tested to avoid interference during the relief grinding. Graphical analytical and calculation method is proposed in this paper. Relief grinding interference issues are graphically analyzed and the formulas of relief grinding interference are derived. The interface is designed to calculate the maximum grinding wheel diameter of different parameters hob [1]. This method provides the basis for selecting grinding wheel rationally.

Abstract: As a base of optimization of metal cutting, a new method of solution of optimization for single pass turning is proposed in this paper. There are three parts for this new method. Firstly, the optimal point must exist on the boundary of the feasible domain of the cutting conditions. Secondly, it is easy to add the processing of determining the boundary of feasible domain as new constraints. Thirdly, the local optimal point on every piece of line or curve of the boundary can be calculated, and finally the minimum of those local optimal points is the final optimal point. There are no local optimal points on the curves of constraints Tmin and Tmax except the intersection points. In addition, the trend of the objective function is affected by the rate . It is helpful to calculate the optimal point by computer. This approach provides a basic research on the affection of the statistics characteristic of the empirical functions used in this case.

Abstract: A numerical control (NC) reformation scheme is presented to reduce the failure rate and improve the performance and efficiency of the old gear shaving machine. On the basis of study the mechanical structure and shaving methods, the numerical control system 828D and the servo driver S120 developed by Siemens Company are used to replace the old control system. The diagonal shaving method is selected to design shaving program after analysis of the process route. The reformation completed parametric programming, realized numerical control of the shaving machine and improved the reliability and flexibility of the system.

Abstract: A new approach using Hurst exponent extracted from the texture of cutting surface was proposed to characterize the nature of the observable long-term-memory power system function of cutting process. Hurst exponent extraction algorithm was given. The cutting images were gotten from the experiment of tool wear monitoring system. Then the Hurst exponent is extracted from the images during the cutting process. Experiments show that the reduction of Hurst exponent reflected the tool wear process and the Hurst exponent can be a monitoring feature.

Abstract: The principle of feeding system for NC honing machines is described and the mathematical model of hydraulic feeding system is built in this paper.A fuzzy netural network(FNN) with BP feedback is suggested,which is applied to improve the self-learning ability and dynamic performance of the feeding system. Simulation results are given and performance comparisons with fuzzy control are conducted,highlighting the modeling characteristics of FNN as a controlling method and an effectiveness for feeding system to control the feeding system.

Abstract: There are always greater differences in ambient temperature when the gear is processed and measured, the temperature difference can cause the change of the tooth profile, and it leads to a result that the measurement data can not truly reflect gear processing accuracy. In order to reduce the influence of temperature on the accuracy of the gear measurement, we analyze the influence of temperature on the gear profile based on ANSYS software. The generalized least squares method (GLS) is used to fit data that is calculated from FEM, and a new involute gear formula is attained. The formula is characterized with temperature-corrected, and its accuracy meets the requirements of gear measurement.

Abstract: In order to detect and control the concentration of emulsion on line, the automatic mixing system which adoped ultrasonic concentration instrument is designed. The detection data is transferred to PC with RS485.Through controlling the flow of oil , the concentration of emulsion is controlled. The hardware principle and software design are described. The compare between traditional PID theory and integral separation PID theory indicates that the integral separation PID theory can efficiently improve the control effect.

Abstract: For the people with disabilities, improper head posture may be harmful to their physical and mental health. This paper designed a sensor of 3D attitude to measure the human head position. The rang of angle, rate or displacement and other attitude information under the best condition can be obtained by analyzing the results of calculation. The information can be used to adjust the posture of the people with disabilities to a comfortable position. The experimental results show that the measurement accuracies of 3D attitude sensor are 0.08°, 0.03°and 0.05°respectively, which can meet the demand of measurement accuracy in engineering. This sensor is proved to be rapid, simple and practical.

Abstract: The air-bearing stage system is a second-order non-damped system without considering the friction. This paper tunes the PID parameters by genetic algorithms based on ITAE index, then a simulation is made in MATLAB.The result shows that the controlling effect is better than the traditional tuning methods.
