Abstract: The purpose of this study is to bring the fly ash, coal gangue and slag industrial solid wastes which contain the chemical composition for activation treatment, used as activated composite cement mixing materials, through strength test shows that the compound mixing materials impermeability activation treatment can obviously increase the cement strength. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis results showed that the crystal structure of the mixed material calcined before and after have apparent change. There are lesss hydration products with compact structure of cement hydration 3d. The early strength of aiding composite mixing materials cement improved greatly.

Abstract: This paper presents the properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC) incorporating residual rice husk ash (RHA) from thermal power plant. It was ground by a mechanical grinding method using ceramic ball mill until having the volume moment mean of 24.32 micrometer. The cementitious materials (Portland cement Type 1, OPC, and RHA) for all SCC mixtures content was kept constantly at 550 kg/m3. RHA was partially replaced in Portland cement (0, 10, 20 and 40%wt.) in producing SCC with the controlled water/cementitious (W/C) ratios of 0.28 and 0.33 by weight. Tests of fresh state properties were investigated including slump flow, V-funnel flowing time, unit weight. Further, compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity were tested. It is concluded that an optimum RHA replacement level of 20%wt. has the best performance of the SCC with different levels of RHA.

Abstract: This paper studies a new admixture used to improve the resistance of concrete against the chloride penetration. The minerals blends, e.g., fly ash and GGBFS, can significantly improve the resistance of concrete against chloride penetration, which is one of the main reasons causing the corrosion of rebar in concrete. Another measure used to recover the resistance of rebar against corrosion is corrosion inhibitor. The new admixture investigated herein is fabricated by combination of corrosion inhibitor and mineral additive to form a new admixture. One of the typical composition of the new admixture is (in mass percentages) with calcium nitrite 20%~30%, calcined gypsum 15%~20%, instant layered sodium metasilicate 5%~10%, hexamethylene tetramine 3%~5%, sodium tripolyphosphate 1%~3%, water reducer 0% ~20%, AEA 0% ~ 0.4% (optional) and fly ash. Series of tests have been carried out to verify the performance of the new admixture. The results showed that by adding the new admixture with mass dosage of 3~5% of the cementitious materials into concrete, the penetration of chloride of chloride into concrete is significantly slowed down. Also, the new admixture is compared with conventional products experimentally and it is proved that the new admixture does have advantage in the resistance against corrosion of steel bars in concrete.

Abstract: In order to get the workability requirements of the preparation of self-compacting lightweight aggregate concrete, fixed sand and gravel volume method and overall calculation method are used in this article to calculate the mix of SCLC30. Orthogonal table L9 (34) is used for test design. In order to analysis the factors of gravel dosage coefficient, sand dosage coefficient, fly ash replace ratio and superplasticizer usage has great influence on concrete by slump flow, L-box and steel-ring tests. The result shows that the groups of 1,3,7,8 have the best workability in 9 groups. On the basis of analysis, gravel coefficient of 0.5, sand coefficient of 0.42, fly ash of 30% and superplasticizer of 1.5% are selected for the optimal mix, so this group has an excellent workability.

Abstract: Denoising is an essential step and plays a significant role in tool condition monitoring. In the present study, four wavelet-based denoising techniques are studied and compared, including conventional hard-thresholding, conventional soft-thresholding, generalized soft-thresholding, and soft-thresholding with Stein’s unbiased risk estimate (SURE). The results show that soft-thresholding with SURE generates the lowest mean squared error, and hence is the most appropriate denoising technique for tool-edge wear detection in high speed machining of Inconel 718.

Abstract: This paper mainly focuses on the numerical simulation of the gas flow field of cyclone separator. The authors took advanced of RSM turbulence model of software Fluent to simulate the gas field. The regulations among structure parameter of exhaust pipe, pressure lose and separation efficiency can be obtained according to the numerical simulation results under the situation of changing the structural parameters. The conclusion of this paper can put forward the theoretical reference for the structure optimization of cyclone separation.

Abstract: This paper introduces the studies of self-heat conserving facade panel with abandoned polypropylene fiber. The optimum process conditions were studied. The tensile properties, bending and impact properties of external insulation panel were tested. The results show that when the hot-pressing temperature is 180°C , the tensile, bending and impact of external insulation panel are best. The optimum process is hot-pressing temperature of 180 °C, hot pressure of 10MPa, hot-pressing time 12 Min. The physico-chemical properties were tested. The results show that the data of each test is up to the china national standard .The heat insulation property was tested, the results show that the panels have good insulation performance. The wallboard is light and easy to transport. Because the raw material adopts recycled polypropylene fibers, the price is low and the insulation is good. Recycled fiber-plastic composite is filled with bright future prospects.

Abstract: In Xinjiang area, the resources of the pebble aggregate is very abundant, which are widely distributed, are the main source of the coarse aggregate for the ready-mixed concrete industry. The aggregate, which accounts for 80% of the quality, have a great effect on the performance of the concrete, not only play a great role in filling, but also in the workability, strength and durability part. Many technicians have lack knowledge of the ready-mixed concrete industry and pay insufficient attention to the aggregate quality, so it’s necessary to research the pebble concrete performance to provide ready-mixed concrete industry with technical guidance in Xinjiang area.

Abstract: This paper presents the results of laboratory and performance tests for an asphalt treated base (ATB) and mixes developed in this study for perpetual asphalt pavements. Laboratory tests for the mixes included moisture susceptibility, wheel tracking and fatigue tests. The results of performance test indicated that the resistances of the high content binder ATB against moisture and fatigue damage were better than those of the lower one. It was also found from the full scale test sections that the tensile strain values at the bottom of the asphalt layer for the ATB sections were low when the asphalt layer thicknesses of the ATB sections were not thicker than those of the conventional sections. All the tensile strain values measured from the ATB sections were within the fatigue endurance limit of 70 microstrain which is the fatigue criterion of a perpetual asphalt pavement.
