Abstract: Environmental landscape in a residential area plays an increasingly important role. With about two-thirds of the time spent in residence community for city dwellers, residential environment and landscape quality have direct impacts on their psychological, physical and spiritual life. Artistic characteristics from creative design in some public spaces,like walking trails and plazas, where there are a lot of human activities, can give a comfortable, cozy home feeling.

Abstract: Based on the developed low permeability test instrument, gas transport properties of typical Jin-Ping marbles are studied under steady flow of nitrogen. A low permeability test instrument and its tri-axial cell structure were introduced in detail, and this test instrument was used to study transport properties of dense rocks under different temperatures and stress conditions, the Test results showed that intrinsic permeability of Jin-Ping marble is about 10－20 m2. Comparisons are made between test results and an exact method which considers Klinkenberg effect in gas flow equation. Fitting results using the exact method show better agreement with laboratory testing results and the transport parameters gained are more convincible.

Abstract: To study the effects of tornado on long span transmission tower, a model of the tower is built and the features of the tornado are considered. Three different wind cases are discussed in dynamic analysis with finite element method. The analysis results show that dynamic response is more significant at 45° wind direction.

Abstract: Early compressive strength of recycled aggregate concrete is important for the project. Age of recycled aggregate concrete is 3d、7d、14d、21d、28d, in order to study the relation of the early compressive strength with the replacement rate of recycled aggregate, and study Linear regression of 28d compressive strength with cement-water ratio. In the base of result, formula is given about the early compressive strength of recycled aggregate concrete and proved in good.

Abstract: Studying on practical cases, this paper analyzes the visual attributes of contemporary western landscape materials, and proposes the expressing rules and important values of Technological aesthetics of landscape design materials through discussions on the form, color and texture of the materials.

Abstract: Friction damped (FD) structure is first design as the sub-structure in the mega-sub controlled (MSC) frame to further reduce structural dynamical responses. Three different building structures, i.e. a conventional mega-sub frame, the MSC frame and the MSC frame with FD sub-structure, are designed, with reference to the conventional mega-sub frame used in Tokyo City Hall The comparative dynamical analyses among the three building structures are made. The controlling effectiveness of the MSC frame with different sub-structural stiffness is examined. Moreover, the nonlinear dynamic equations and the method to assembling structural parameter matrixes for the MSC frame with FD sub-structure are presented. Researching results illustrate that the MSC frame with FD sub-structure has more excellent dynamic properties and more predominant controlling effectiveness, compared to the traditional mega-sub frame and the MSC frame.

Abstract: As the ecological infrastructure, the development of the ecological function of urban landscapes is determined not only by the reasonable design on its own scale, but also by the interaction of the urban-scaled landscape system. Virtually, the planning and layout of the urban landscape system represent the reasonable position of various projects in the overall landscape structure. The current paper, combined with the landscape ecology theory, put forward the idea primarily determining the distribution of single landscape projects through the priority of single project location, as well as the selection of ecological strategic points. In considering the distribution mode and landscape index, the overall layout of urban landscape system can be adjusted and optimized by consulting the landscape connectivity index, PX, and the nearest neighbor index, NNI. This planning idea is in favor of sustaining and strengthening the continuity of the whole landscape pattern, and maintaining the general ecological security of urban system.

Abstract: Rainwater is a kind of natural resource and how to treat and utilize effectively has been the tough problem in urban rainwater recycling. In this paper based on the characteristics of street rainwater, a kind of rainwater treatment system is put forward aiming at the rainfall features in northern China. Firstly the collected rainwater will be filtered to remove the organic pollutants with macromolecules and then is discharged into the landscape pond. To deal with the seasonal change of rainwater in winter cities, the variable treatment methods of double subsurface constructed system are applied to achieve the continuous operation.

Abstract: Bamboo has many good features, is an ideal material for the construction industry. The numerical simulation of multi-layer seismic frame structure of bamboo by hand shows that, for re-bamboo wood columns, typical of the two failure modes for the transverse deformation is too large can not continue to load and top of the fibers in the lateral pressure exploded; bamboo column can be restored in the unloaded more than 80% of deformation, has excellent elastic recovery; bamboo can withstand the load beam is actually controlled by the stiffness, not strength.
