Abstract: This paper aims to study on the landscape future of a large number of coal-mines distributed around the border of resource-based cities in China, which have been abandoned or semi-abandoned, lacking of features, with scattered settlements separated by the industry. Taking the coal-mine region around the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi province as an example, seeing from the perspective of urban economics, landscape ecology and sociological, finding landscape transformation ways to solve the threat of industrial collapse, the suffering from social problems, the seriously polluted waste, the loss of social cultural issues and other series of problems in the region, so as to get economic recovery, land reclamation, and ecological restoration. Special mention is also given in these urbanized areas on how to increase employment, how to establish urban features and how to make a pleasant community

Abstract: Future video compression algorithms may employ more adaptability, in this paper, we will focus on the block-based MC/DCT hybrid coding schemes, give a review of the technologies involved in predictive coding, transform coding, quantization and entropy coding, and based on this analyze the development trends and perspectives of video compression, highlighting problems and research directions. The rest of the paper is organized as follows. Development trends and perspectives of video compression analyzed in the following paper, highlighting problems and research directions are also analyzed.

Abstract: By use of the theory of fracture mechanics, the plain-strain model is established to simulate the four-layer asphalt pavement of corresponding crack.. And then, applying the segmented integral method and power function form, the stretching stress intensify factors in the conditions that four limited layer combined status and different crack space are calculated and analyzed under the action of pavement and basement shrinkage. Moreover, the regression formulas are given which can meet requirements of the engineering regression equation precision.

Abstract: Today’s landscape design targets at seeking for means of conveying the inner order of nature, and meanwhile satisfying people’s requirements of appreciation of beauty. However, plants are the main visual elements for expressing the two kinds of order. As the representative for natural environment, the ecological effect, the visual sense and the cultural landscapes of green plants penetrate and influence all the aspects of human lives and architectural environment. The interaction between environment and architecture has become a new exploration and direction of the architectural design thought in the 21st century.

Abstract: Two algorithms, named Inner Seed Grid Filling Method (ISGFM) and Outer Seed Grid Filling Method (OSGFM), which when generating Finite Difference Method(FDM) mesh, were used to filling or dividing the sort of grids for casting or mold or core, etc, were considered. On the basis of analyzing space relationship between scanning line and casting boundary, two conditions were gained,1) the number of grids crossed by scanning line must be even number; 2) any two boundary grids crossed by scanning line must be not neighbored to each other. On the above discussion, IGFM was constructed. For OGFM, any corner of mesh region can directly regarded as a grain to do filling operation. Comparing these two algorithms, the OGFM can deal with the condition when there were more than two isolated shapes in the same mesh generation region, and showed more priority. Finally, two examples were given.

Abstract: Zhengzhou is the important traffic and communications center. With the rapid development of economic and increase in population, but the speed of construction on urban disaster prevention and reduction is far behind the process of urban economy. Once the earthquake disaster was happened, the consequences was serious. This paper investigates the construction of disaster-prevention green space in old districts of Zhengzhou city, analyzes the problems in the capacity of refuge and planning layout of disaster-prevention green space, and presents to enhance awareness of prevention, perfect green space system of disaster-prevention, expand the capacity in green space of disaster-prevention and increase constantly input in scientific research.

Abstract: Based on the condition of No.1-2 coal seam of Shang Wan Coal Mine Shendong mining area, the movement of the overlying strata of the 7.0m large mining height workface have been studied by similar simulation test, which geometric similarity ratio is 1:50.The results show that: the immediate roof strata caves stratified to loose blocks, and the goaf can’t be filled with these loose blocks; the basic roof strata caves stratified too, the lower slice caves to loose blocks, it evolves into the immediate roof and widen the immediate roof; there is the periodic weighting phenomenon of size alternating in the large mining height workface of No.1-2 coal seam ; the immediate roof and the basic roof and the overlying strata of basic roof have different characteristics of caving; the large mining height workface has a greater sphere of supporting pressure than the traditional small height workface, the peak supporting pressure of the large mining height workface is more depth to the coalwall than the average mining height workface, and this led to workface roof strata fracture further ahead.

Abstract: Through the investigation of landscape of “Zhongyi•Arkadia” in Zhengdong New Zone of Zhengzhou City, characteristics of its landscape environment had been summarized. The plants pattern, the square the diversified waterscape was the most characteristic landscape in the residential area. Meanwhile, it had found some insufficiencies. It was lack of native characteristic and landscape environments of other areas had been simulated blindly. Waterscape design had overlooked sustainability and overly emphasized artistry. It hoped to provide reference for planning design and construction of landscape environment in newly-built residential areas in other cities based on the investigation and analysis.

Abstract: Landscape eco-planning is an important approach to keep sustainable development, which can coordinate the relationship between man, nature and resource use. The landscape eco-planning in the future not only must meet the need of landscape's natural function and human, but also need to meet the need of sustainable use of the land. This article discusses the concept, the main principles, procedures and methods of landscape eco-planning, and clarifies the GIS technology in the use of landscape planning and design, in order to play a promote role in the landscape eco-planning in China.

Abstract: This paper extracted green space distribution information from multi-temporal LANDSAT multi-spectral remote sensing images to analyze the evolution of Nanjing’s green space between 1988 and 2007. The findings suggest that the current distribution of green space is not balanced and that the total area of green space has decreased over time. The trend towards fragmentation is obvious in the disproportionately large decline in medium-sized green spaces. Mountain forest and other large green spaces, however, have been better protected. Before 1998, the fragmentation was most apparent in the green spaces of the city’s inner circle. After 1998, the green space in the city’s middle circle began to suffer from the effects of severe human interference. After 2003, the outer circle of green space began to fragment and diminish as a result of urbanization, and the original ecological corridor surrounding the city collapsed.
