Abstract: Samples of high temperature brazing diamond with Ni-Cr alloy are prepared in protective atmosphere furnace for brazing time is 1 minute, 2 minutes, and 5 minutes. The microstructures were analyzed with Scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The results show that there are two layers of carbides on the surface of diamond, lamellar carbide Cr3C2 and columnar carbide Cr7C3, the growth direction of Cr3C2 has a certain orientation relationship with the crystallographic plane of diamond, and Cr7C3 nucleates on the surface of Cr3C2. With the increase of brazing time, the morphology of carbide Cr3C2 turns from linear to lamellar and carbide Cr7C3 turns from granule to columnar. After brazing, chemical metallurgical combination is achieved between diamonds and brazing alloy and carbides are the primary reason for the strong bond strength.

Abstract: In order to measure industry independent innovation ability more scientifically, a combination evaluation model was established based on adaptive genetic algorithm. The basic steps and application principal of how to establish the model was explained in detail, and concrete operation process of the model was introduced briefly by an example. The empirical study shows that using this model to evaluate can get an accurate and object result, which is valuable for government and enterprises.

Abstract: Due to the low efficiency of magnetic abrasive finishing and the difficulty in the making of magnetic abrasive grain, this article compares three different ways of its making, i.e. hot pressed sintering, spark plasma sintering (SPS) and ab-adhesive bonding sintering. SPS is found to have a higher cost, but it makes up the deficiency in magnetic abrasive grain made either by hot pressed sintering or by felt, with high abrasion resistance, processing efficiency and better processing performance.

Abstract: Affective product design, which concentrates on customers’ affective responses and aspirations, is arousing increasing attention. In this paper, ordinal probit regression (OPR) is introduced into this field to discover mapping knowledge from design elements to customer affect, and a comparative study is always recommended between OPR and ordinal logistic regression (OLR) for available data to choose a better fitted model. The discovered mapping relations could facilitate the handling of affective information and assist the designer to make trade-off decisions. A case study of cell phone design was conducted. Four generic affective dimensions and six key product attributes of the cell phone were identified. OPR and OLR were applied successively to reveal the quantitative relations from design elements to customer affect. For the two models, five classes of indexes were compared. The findings show that OLR is superior to OPR to fit the collected data.

Abstract: This work attempts to develop a method for SLAM using semantics based on FastSLAM 2.0. Our approach to semantic mapping consists of segmenting images obtained from two sensors (optical and radar) aboard a UAV. We then identify landmarks within the segmented image, followed by the construction of relational trees with the landmarks; these trees are then used at consecutive time-steps of the robot’s motion for its localization as well as update of the landmarks. The term semantics has been used for region-landmarks which are validated with a look-up table (LUT) of the predefined surface type information, a superset of the robot’s actual environment. Finally, based on particle filters, the posterior density of the state of the robot is estimated and a 2-D semantics map is constructed. The methodology has been tested in a situation wherein the robot’s true environment and path have been simulated. For simulation we consider satellite images of optical and radar sensors of the robot’s environment. At different time-steps the robot’s images are cropped from these images, incorporating errors in the robot’s control information. Experiments carried out on the simulated environment have provided encouraging results.

Abstract: Vibration isolation is a most widely used vibration protection method.The stiffness of vibration isolators in existing conventional type of vibration isolation system is usually of fixed value. This limits the system in exhibiting its vibration isolation effect in that, it has poor results for lower frequency vibration, especially for resonance frequency. Magneto-rheological elastomer is a new branch of Magneto-rheological materials. It’s an intelligent materials in that it’s shear modulus can be controlled by a magnetic field. It has wide application prospects in the vibration control area. This paper proposes using adjustable stiffness of magneto-rheological elastomer vibration isolation in vibration isolation system. By changing the current of vibration isolators coil to control the shear modulus of magneto-rheological elastomer, it can adjust the stiffness of the isolation system, making the system obtain wider vibration isolation frequency range. By exploying SimuLink software to analyze the vibration isolation system, it is found that such a design is effective and applicable.

Abstract: With awareness of environmental protection strengthens and constraints of regulations and laws to environmental protection increasing, more and more enterprises focus on the closed-loop supply chain management. Considering difference between new product and remanufactured product, this paper constructs closed-loop supply chain system with manufacturers recycling used products directly from the consumers based on game theory. The optimal pricing decisions and the optimal profit of centralized and decentralized closed-loop supply chain are obtained. It is found that the efficiency of decentralized closed-loop supply chain decreases by 25%. At last, the coordination mechanism is designed to solve the profit conflict in the decentralized closed-loop supply chain by the two-part tariff contract.

Abstract: This document reflects the warranty management situation of Chinese manufacturing enterprise by investigating 93 manufacturers including automobile, electronics and machinery equipment. By the investigated data of warranty cost ratio of revenue, we can find the gap between Chinese manufacturers and abroad. The next, through the statistics analysis of factors influencing the warranty cost, we find that the management of suppliers and outsourcers, cost control strickly and the cost accounting system are helpful to decrease the warranty cost. According to the analysis, the paper make suggestions in warranty cost management to Chinese manufacturers

Abstract: A waterborne polyurethane (WPU) dispersoid was synthesized through the prepolymer method using aliphatic isocyanates [namely isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI), hexamethylene diisocyanate(HDI)] and self-made polyester polyol as main raw materials. The effects of HDI/IPDI ratio on properties of waterborne polyurethane were discussed. The FTIR results confirmed the successful synthesis of WPU. As the molar ratio of HDI/IPDI increased, the properties (including elongation at break, solvent resistance, viscosity and thermal stability) increased, while the tensile strength and the average particle size decreased. The stable WPU with light blue and translucent were obtained when the HDI/ IPDI ratio was 1.5:1.
