Abstract: Surface roughness plays a crucial role in the functional capacity of machined parts. In this work, experiments were carried out on a conventional lathe for different cutting parameters namely feed, spindle speed, depth of cut and tool nose radius according to Taguchi Design of Experiments. Radial acceleration readings were taken with an accelerometer. Optimum cutting parameters and their level of significance were found using Taguchi analysis (ANOVA). Regression analysis was carried out to identify whether the experimental roughness values have fitness characteristic with the process parameters. Recurrence Plots (RP) were obtained using the sensor signals which determine surface roughness qualitatively and Recurrence Quantification Analysis (RQA) technique was used to quantify the RP obtained. Surface finish was predicted using a feed forward back propagation neural network with RQA parameters, cutting parameters and acceleration data as inputs to the network. The validity and reliability of the methods were verified experimentally.

Abstract: The paper presents two measurement systems for the dynamic components of the grinding forces in case of robots that perform finishing operations. The optimization of the measurement system is performed at the force measurement captor level using a special structure elastic element within the digital command robot driving system.

Abstract: Phase balancing problem is to make a feeder system balanced in terms of phases in low voltage (LV) distribution networks. In this paper, we investigate the use of chaotic simulated annealing (CSA) for realize phase balancing in the low voltage circuit of the distribution network. The network energy function of the CSA is constructed for objective function that defined the load balancing problem. The CSA is applied to solve the problem when load is represented in terms of current flow at the connection points. The results obtained using CSA are compared with those from a heuristic algorithm. Simulations results show that the CSA is very effective and outperforms the heuristic algorithm in terms of the maximum difference of the phase currents

Abstract: The rotary clamp spacer is a new type of anti-galloping equipment, and it has been already widely used to restrain the line galloping, but the profit and the effect of this spacer need to be studied. On the basis of extensive research this paper presents the mechanism and causation of line galloping, and analyses the configuration and the anti-galloping mechanism of the rotary clamp spacer, and investigates the overseas application and the effect of the rotary clamp. The investigations demonstrate that the rotary clamp spacer has better anti-galloping effect than bundle conductor spacer

Abstract: This paper uses the culture paper commonly-used filler PCC (precipitated calcium carbonate) and makes a good ratio of other raw materials and dosage of various other chemicals. Under the certain papermaking craft condition, with the certain quantum, the experiment changes the filler proportion of the paper to make paper samples and test the samples’ properties and the printing ink transfer. The experiment establishes an influence curve relationship, through that we analysis and draw the conclusion when the proportion of PCC is in the range 20% to 30%, it will get better ink transfer effect, which will provide reference for actual production.

Abstract: As a low cost moulding technology, VARI is widely used to produce advanced composite materials. At the same time, the particularity of VARI process make it have particular requirements on resin system. Epoxy resin system attracts extensive attention because of its good process performance. Curing reaction and rheological behavior of epoxy resin system were studied by DSC and viscosity experiments. The results showed that resin viscosity decreased from 2600 mPa•S at 15°C to 600mPa•S at 40°C . Viscosity of resin system rose about 0.5Pa•s within the first 2h. Gel time shortened dramatically when the temperature exceed 60°C. the curing temperature is 60°C be based on DSC curve and gel time-temperature curve. Resin cast plate of epoxy resin system has good mechanical properties of compression strength.

Abstract: In this paper, for the purpose of seeking the control methods of temper brittleness of steel EA4T, doing some experiments on steel EA4T by circulation quenching process .Then do some research about the influence of circulation quenching on temper brittleness of steel EA4T.The result proves that circulation quenching can render grain refinement and restrain the temper brittleness of steel EA4T, thus contract the temperature range of carbide precipitation in high temperature tempering; the result indicate that Circulation quenching restrain the temper brittleness of steel EA4T at 550°C.

Abstract: Paper, as an important substrate of printed matter, the performance will impact on the color reproduction. Brightness, as a key index of paper performance, affects the apparent color of paper directly. It was investigated that the printed samples with different brightness have been evaluated the influence of paper brightness on color reproduction by the methods of subjective and objective color difference evaluation. Three kinds of paper with different brightness have been selected as substrate of printed samples. The standard test color blocks have been printed to do corresponding objective color difference evaluation to different paper by CIEDE2000 color-difference formulae methods. Meanwhile, the standard test images with difference contents have been printed on three kinds of paper, which was subjected to subjective color difference evaluation for visual evaluation of standard test images in standard observe conditions. The results of subjective and objective color difference evaluation have been combined to analyze the effect of paper brightness to color reproduction, and different visual influence to images of difference content, and could provide certain reference for selecting the brightness performance of paper in color reproduction.

Abstract: This paper describes a novel and simple method to preparing monoclinic VO2 (M) nanopowders via the reaction of ammonium meta-vanadate (NH4VO3) and oxalic acid dihydrate (C2H2O4•2H2O). The products were characterized by means of methods. XRD results show that well crystallized nanopowders of the monoclinic VO2 (M) were successfully synthesized, while the molar ratio between NH4VO3 and C2H2O4•2H2O was kept at 1:0.5~2.5, and the annealing temperature was 350~750 °C for 2~10 hour in nitrogen atmosphere. The spherical morphology of the samples is characterized by SEM. The crystallization temperature of the desired M/R-phase VO2 is lower than 387 °C in this work. And the phase transition temperature is determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
