Abstract: In our study, a new kind of material for petrol adsorption was prepared by melt blending and molding foaming with EPDM and LLDPE as the matrix and modified glass fiber (GF) as the filler. LLDPE as the second matrix can improve the matrix reinforcement, the composite cross-linked network density was reduced, but the oil absorption rate was increasing. After recycling three times, the oil absorption rate GF/EPDM foaming composite and GF / LLDPE / EPDM foam composite were changed little, the internal cell structure can exist for a long time and showed good recycling performance.

Abstract: Regarding dry strength as the index, and considering liftability and storage stability, effects of solidification agent amount and organics N on the property of high neutralization degree phosphate no-bake sand mold/core were studied by modifying the binder coded 32B8M15 and adding solidification agent fused MgO in sand mixing. A new type of compound phosphate binder coded 32B8M15N4 is developed, and results indicate that, at environment condition of below 15°C and 50% RH, the proper solidification agent amount is 5% when using high neutralization degree binder coded 32B8M15N4 (its addition amount is 3%) to make no-bake sand, its molding sand sample has high dry strength and good storage stability, its compressive strength, σ0, σ1, σ2, σ3, σ4 is 2.33 MPa, 2.27 MPa, 2.01 MPa, 2.03 MPa, 2 MPa separately.

Abstract: Nonylphenol (NP) is one of the persistent organic pollutants, its key properties are bioaccumulative, poor degradability and three induced impacts including carcinogenic, teratogenic and mutagenic, which have caused high attention by the international academic community. Many deep studies around its biological effect, mechanism of action, environment distribution, organism distribution and metabolism process have been developed and reported. Meanwhile, the studies about its spatial distribution and the enrichment regularity also have been carried out in some typical cities in the shore zone and estuaries. This paper is to summarize the status of nonylphenol pollution in the lotic ecosys-tem refer to those research results before.

Abstract: In order to effectively resolve pollution issue of water quenched slag and its comprehensive use or second use of materials, the water quenched slag filter material is developed using water quenched slag with the addition of adhesion-increasing agent and porogen by commingle, pelletizing and curing. Experimental results indicate that water quenched slag filter material is used as filter medium in biological aerated filter for wastewater treatment, and the removal rate of COD, NH3-N comes up to 84.62%,90.20% respectively. The filter material is much more predominant and possesses a much wider application prospect in the treatment of wastewate.

Abstract: Al scraps reproduction was the need of sustainable development. The main factors which influenced the quality of Al alloy recycling products was contaminating elements and non-metallic inclusions. Thus the critical technique in promoting the Al scraps reproduction process was how to relieve the harmful effect of non-metallic inclusions and effectively control the types and number of impurity elements. The research for Al scraps reproduction should be developed as a individual system, main contents includes effective separation of varies metallic materials, remove of contaminating elements, solidification control, etc. and furthermore study the technology of high ratio of Al recovery and improve the process of saving energy, lower consumption and reduce pollutants.

Abstract: Distal tibial fractures are now commonly treated via intermedullary plate fixation due to higher rates of union and lower rates of postoperative complications. However, patient specific bone morphology demands manual deformation of the plate to ensure appropriate fit along the bone contours, and depending on the material of the plate, different outcomes have been reported along with postoperative complications. A comparative analysis of Stainless Steel 316L and Ti-6Al-4V alloys was carried to estimate the safe bending limit for appropriate fits. The results from the ANSYS FEA simulations were validated with experiments based on ASTM F382-99. It is found that SS316L is better suited for large deformations (up to 16˚ in proximal tip and 7.5˚ in distal end) and Ti for smaller deformation contours (up to 3˚ in proximal tip and 1.8˚ in distal end). The results of this study have profound implications for the choice of plates based on preliminary radiographical fracture examinations to ensure better fixation and higher rates of union of distal tibial fractures.

Abstract: P(DMAA-co-AM)hydrogel; adsorption method; a-amylase; Immobilized enzyme. Abstract. P(DMAA-co-AM)hydrogel was prepared by aqueous solution polymerization with N,N-dimethylacrylamide(DMAA) and acrylamide(AM) as monomers.,taking the P(DMAA-co-AM) hydrogel as carrier, a-amylase was immobilized by adsorption method. The investigation of effection of temperature and pH on enzymatic activity exhibites that the optimum temperatures are 50°C for both free and immobilized enzyme, the maximum activity is observed at pH 6.0 for both free and immobized enzyme. The activity of immobilized a-amylase remaines higher 40% at sixth run. Kinetic studies demonstrate that: Km values are 5.15749 and 1.44479 mg/mL for free and immobilized enzyme, Vmax values are 2.56082 and 0.58272 mg/mL min-1 for free and immobilized enzyme.

Abstract: In order to keep the sustainable developement of human life, renewable resources must be developed because of the limitation of fossil resources. Biomass as a renewable resource has been watched by all the world with interest. The purpose of this study is to utilize the biomass to produce biodegradable board. Corn straw was used to produce Bio-board with the process of refining, defibrating, forming and drying. The mechanical properties of the Bio-board were measured. Technical evaluation of the result shows that corn straw can be processed to produce Bio-board. The test for mechanical properties indicates that the rupture stress of Bio-board produced with the experimental conditions were 6.23MPa~16.95MPa and 8.6~23.5 times greater as compared with the polystyrene plastic used in food container. Therefore, the use of Bio-board as food packing container, heat insulation in architecture, mulch film in agriculture as a substitute for the chemical plastic materials is technically possible.

Abstract: The carbonized rice husk (CRH) was evaluated for its wound healing activity in rats using excision models. In this study, the influences of CRH on wound healing in rat skin in vivo and cellular behavior of human dermal fibroblasts in vitro were investigated. The obtained results showed that the CRH treatment promoted wound epithelization in rats and exhibited moderate inhibition of cell proliferation in vitro. CRH with lanolin oil treated wounds were found to epithelize faster as compared to controls.

Abstract: In the research of rice bran stabilization, most of the literature only study the lipase which is explained by the changes in free fatty acids in the storage experiment or peroxidase activity. It leads results not comprehensive, extends the experiment time, increases the experimental difficulty and wastes of manpower and material resources. For the first time, the effect of heat treatment on fresh rice bran stability is examined in terms of direct determination of water content, lipase activity, peroxidase activity and total antioxidant capacity. The optimal condition is that 120 degrees for 22 min. The results show that the heat treatment can reduce the enzyme activity of rice bran to improve the stability of rice bran.
