Abstract: Microgrid which solves effectively access of distributed generation taking renewable energy as a leading is one of the development direction of China’s power system. This paper introduces structure and characteristics of microgrid. And reducing line loss, dropping carbon emissions, promoting utilization of distributed generation and improving power security and reliability of power system for microgrid is analyzed. On the basis, economic benefit model which can reduce line loss and carbon emissions for microgrid is established. The model provides some help for relevant departments to formulate reasonable incentive mechanism.

Abstract: Both Demand Response (DR) and Orderly Power Consumption are important methods in shifting peak demand, where DR is in favor of market regulation, while orderly power consumption prefers administrative coordination. The implementation conditions of DR and orderly power consumption in China were discussed, and the obstacles encountered during the implementation process were analyzed from the view of the power companies and users. Then in the smart grid, the similarities and differences of the two were analyzed from the aspects of action mechanism, participation pattern, incentives and so on, and the implementation principles and coordination mechanisms of the two adaptable to the real situation in China were proposed. Finally, the related implementation recommendations were put forward for better development.

Abstract: This paper presents that Aluminium Conductor Composite Core (abbreviated as ACCC) is suitable for using in reconstructed overhead line projects, but is not economical for using in new construction projects in China. When ACCC can be used in new overhead line projects, the cut-off point price is twice of the conventional Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced (abbreviated as ACSR) under same section,and further analysis of price components of ACCC is considered that the prices could decrease further. In China, ACCC will have application value for large area popularization.

Abstract: More public geographical resource data appears in recent years, and its accuracy is improved with a good application value. So this paper aims to research on the application of public geographic data in power engineering survey and design, and tries to find a useful method which can develop the power engineering survey and design in a timely, convenient and low-cost way, as well as highlights the application value with these public data.

Abstract: Statistics of cable fire in power plant from 1960’s to 1990’s was carried out at present. Main causes of the fire were analyzed. The external cause accounts for the majority of cable fire. The existed problem in cable fire prevention was summarized; systematic measures from design, construction and operation should be taken into account to reduce the risk of cable fire in power plant.

Abstract: Based on the existing demonstration project of micro-grid, this paper study on the situations of operation, control and maintenance. Analysis of some issues of micro-grid commercial operation, including potential users, micro-grid construction, ownership, operating rights and commercial promotion models. In this paper, we put forward corresponding methods and suggestions. The relevant departments can publish a series of encouragement policy. But based on our country national condition, it is better to build micro-grid in the western, remote area, mountain or Island of our country. Choose the appropriate micro-grid model. The ownership according to the investment which can be divided into different parts such as power company, the user community, third party. The micro-grid is in the pilot phase of construction and exploring business models. Through the analysis of the existing demonstration project, this paper provides enough theory, technology and practical for the next state of micro-grid construction and commercial promotion.

Abstract: Developing effective black start plans is significant to the rapid restoration from the power system blackout. This paper makes theoretical research in some key concerns of self-excitation, over-voltage, the impact of starting loads on the voltage and frequency, and stability of the initial small system. The paper also presents countermeasures against these problems. This overview should be very useful to utility operators involved in the development of black start plans.
