Abstract: The expression level of chicken β-defensin Gal-3 was influenced by lactose concentration, induction time and initial cell density, and IPTG induction was used as a control. The optimal parameters of various factors were confirmed. the optimal parameters with lactose induction was 37°C of culture temperature, 2 g/L of joining lactose final concentration when the recombinant strain growth density A600 achieved 0.8 and induction maintained 3 hours, the production of fusion protein reached the highest level. This study provides a good experimental basis for the large production of Gal-3.

Abstract: About the separation methods of the traditional Chinese medicine components, there are common difficulties like time-consuming and compositions exist cross. Highly efficient way of separation is urgently needed in chinese medicines. The experiment adopted a better and specific 2-hydroxy-3-carboxy-N,N,N-trimethyl-propyl chitosan magnetic microspheres and separated the active anti-aging ingredients from Rubus chingii Hu. In this experiment, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared by coprecipitation method. Microwave synthesis method changed the property of the surface of chitosan, we prepared 2-hydroxy-3-carboxy-N, N, N-trimethyl-propyl chitosan. And we prepared 2-hydroxy-3-carboxy-N,N,N-trimethyl-propyl chitosan magnetic microspheres by microwave synthesis. Discussed the anti-aging ingredients separating condition of 2-hydroxy-3-carboxy-N,N,N-trimethyl-propyl chitosan magnetic microspheres by UV spectrophotometry results. Ultraviolet spectrum showed that characteristic peaks of falconoid components and anthraquinones components. Chemical identification experiments show that separated samples only contain falconoid components and anthraquinones components. Using this material to separate active ingredients of Rubus chingii Hu will greatly shorten the time than traditional separation method, the components will be more purer. The results show that using this material to separate anti-aging ingredients of Rubus chingii Hu is efficient, concentrated, stable and reliable.

Abstract: The quality of sleep has a great relationship with health. The result of sleep stage classification is an important indicator to measure the quality of sleep. It was found that the average energy dissipation about wake and the first stage of non-rapid eye movement sleep reflect on the changes of sleep stage. And it was confirmed by T test and multi-samples experiments. The average energy dissipation can apply into automatic sleep stage classification. By Multi-parameter analysis it could achieve a higher accuracy of sleep stage classification.

Abstract: To observe the protective effects of L-citrulline on the renal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury and elucidate the mechanisms involved. Forty-eight rats were randomized into eight groups. At the end of the reperfusion period, serum was collected and the kidneys were removed for histological and biochemical examinations. Our results showed that pretreatment with L-citrulline significantly ameliorated the renal injury caused by I/R. Moreover, L-citrulline increased the levels of NO. The I/R-induced decreases in total nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity, inducible NOS activity and constitutive NOS activity in the renal cortex were significantly prevented. These results suggested that L-citrulline administration exhibited significant protection on renal I/R injury.

Abstract: The optimal prescription of stigma maydis polysaccharide (SMPS)oral liquid was 1g of SMPS, 0.03g of Casson, 39g of xylitol, 1g of citric acid, 0.2g of polyacrylic acid sodium (In terms of 1L oral solution) by uniform design and the quality control was conducted according to the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China(2010).

Abstract: Chicken β-defensin Gal-3 was recently identified member of a family of antimicrobial peptides. In this paper, the sequences of the chicken β-defensin Gal-3 gene was replaced with plant preferred codons by Polymerase Chain Reaction, and cloned into the plant expression vector p1390R, then transferred into alfalfa by Agrobacterium tumefacien- mediated method. PCR was performed by using the genomic DNA of transgenic alfalfa as template, which showed that Gal-3 has been transferred into alfalfa. Therefore, the suitable concentration of Hyg for screening transformants was 20 mg/L. The 4 trangenic plants were analyzed by Southern hybridization.

Abstract: A series of N-(pyridin-4-yl) salicylamides derivatives were prepared through acylation of the corresponding acetylsalicyloyl chlorides with substituted 4-amino-pyridines. These compounds were evaluated in vitro for antimycobacterial activities against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) and Mycobacterium avium (A) by the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) values. Eight of the compounds exhibited lower MIC against A than isoniazide (INH). Meanwhile, four of the compounds exhibited good anti-TB activity, when they were compared with INH. Antimycobacterial activities of N-(pyridin-4-yl) salicylamides were influenced by the balance between hydrophobicity and electron-withdrawing substituent effect on the phenyl and pyridine ring. These studies show that these compounds might serve as prospective wide-spectrum antimycobacterial substances.

Abstract: As a continuation of our research and with the aim of obtaining new antibacterial agents which can improve the current chemotherapeutic antibacterial treatments, a series of quinoxaline-1,4-di-N-oxide derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for antibacterial activity against bacterial growing in macrophages in vitro. The results indicate that the new compounds exhibited a good antibacterial activity. Also, the potency and low toxicity of these compounds make them valid leads for synthesizing new compounds that possess better activity.

Abstract: Plumbagin (PLN) is isolated from Plumbago Zeylanica, an anticancer Traditional Chinese Medicine. The interaction between cytotoxic complex [Sm (PLN)3(H2O)2]H2O and bovine serum albumin (BSA) is investigated by fluorescence, synchronous fluorescence, and UV-vis spectra. It is observed that Sm(III) complex can reduce the fluorescence intensity of BSA by the way of static quenching.

Abstract: Tumor is a kind of disease with higher morbidity and mortality, which is currently a serious threat to human health, and to strengthen the prevention and treatment of neoplastic diseases has important economic and social benefits. The migration behavior of tumor cell is a key link in the process of tumor metastasis. In this study, the related cellular and molecular mechanisms of MRTF and AQP1 inducing the migration of colon cancer cells HT-29 were revealed in the respect of Gene transcription regulation. This heralded that MRTF and AQP1 could probably be a new target on treating the tumor cell migration.
