Abstract: The course Environmental Quality Management by ISO 14001 is a special course offered to students majoring in Environmental Engineering. It aims to let students grasp basic knowledge on ISO 14001, including mode of ISO 14001, content of ISO 14001, planning, establishing and performing of it. ISO 14000 (made by International Standard Organization), has been enacted to protect the environment through environmental quality management, among which ISO14001 is the most important section. With increasing damage of the environment across the world, ISO 14001 was revised in 1996, the new version was carried out in 2006. Therefore, this course requires construction in accordance with the revised new ISO 14001 version to keep up with environment quality management nowadays.

Abstract: Promotion of cleaner technology could be aided by Environmental Management Systems (EMSs), in which business and industry can implement a system of self-regulation on their processes. Core idea of cleaner production is pollution prevention and processing, which is quite different in production modes with traditional production of final processing of pollution. The course cleaner production is offered to undergraduates majoring in Environmental Engineering to cultivate students familiar and special in idea and performance of cleaner production. To keep up with its development nowadays, it requires construction to develop teaching content, teaching methods, class mode and etc. which are more appropriate for the students. In this paper, conditions of this course prior to construction were described, and then a construction plan was given for improvement of teaching effect.

Abstract: Water Pollution control is offered to undergraduate students whose major is Environmental Engineering, to let students know basic knowledge and control technologies of water pollution, so that they can solve problems on water treatment. As one of the main special courses, it requires to be constructed to keep it up-to-date with currents wastewater treatment technologies. This paper analyzed the current conditions of this course. In addition, it described construction process and effects, including adjustment of the teaching content, improvement of teaching methods, revision of teaching mode, compiling of test database and exercise database and performance of experiments in water pollution control.

With development of nowadays industrial wastewater treatment technology, it requires to be constructed to keep the teaching content up-to-date with current industrial wastewater treatment. Based on analysis of the current conditions of this course, it describes construction process, including revision of the teaching content, improvement of teaching methods and class mode, compiling of test database and exercise database.

Abstract: The research takes Yang Liuqing water plant as an example.Compare the studies of the conventional process, coagulation pressure type membrane process, coagulation submerged membrane process between removal efficiency and water production rate.The result shows the removal efficiency of raw water turbidity and oxygen consumption had an increase of 7% and 4% than the conventional process. Disposable water production rate increased by 1%-2%.Meanwhile combined with other influence factors,a analytic hierarchy model has been established. From the two aspects of cost and benefit,compare comprehensively different process.The result shows that coagulation - immersed membrane process is more suitable drinking water treatment technology for water purification operation in water purification plant.

Abstract: Flow outside the water-lifting aerator was simulated with FLUENT software, and the effects of temperature gradient on the in-situ algae inhibition zone were numerically analyzed. Flow characteristics directly influence the effect of algal inhibition using water-lifting aeration technology. Under quasi-steady state of flow outside the water-lifting aerator, the clockwise flow near the inlet and counter-clockwise flow in other domains coexisted, zone and strength of inlet circulation weakened as the water temperature gradient increased, flow velocity decreased as the distance from the water-lifting aerator increased. When the temperature gradient within the depth of 30 m increased from 0.17 °C/m to 0.73 °C/m, the radius of the core algal growth inhibition zone increased from 100 m to 150 m, and the ratio of the algal growth inhibition zone to the whole flow domain increased from 25.16% to 28.60%. The proper design intervals of water-lifting aerators in reservoirs were proposed as 100m-150m.

Abstract: Kongdian is located in the eastern part of Bohai Bay. This region has good prospects for oil and gas exploration, but the seismic geologic condition is very complex. After several stages of exploration, a number of significant exploration results have been achieved, but the gradually exposed problems restricted the exploration to go further. In a new round of exploration, the high and low frequency energy compensation technology, advantaged band deconvolution processing technology, dividing frequency high-precision residual static corrections, high-resolution well control-target wavelet deconvolution technology, common scattering point imaging technology and prestack time migration processing technology have been used to improve exploration accuracy. Five potential areas were found in this region according to the new processed seismic data and subsequent interpretation work, achieving the pleasant situation of initial success following the exploration in that year.

Abstract: According to the features of Luoyuan Bay, such as the complex terrain, flexural coastline and the large area of tidal flat, well-known 3-D hydrodynamic moving-boundary numerical model FVCOM based on unstructured mesh is used to simulate this area. Based on this model, the tidal current field and tide-induced Eulerian residual current field of Luoyuan Bay can be obtained. The concentrations of 4 heavy metals were determined in 8 water bodies in Luoyuan Bay by an inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS). The average concentrations of Cu, As, Cd and Pb are 3.92, 4.22, 0.201 and 5.27 μg/L, respectively. The results manifest that average levels of heavy metals in the vicinity of the reclamation project has increased significantly in recent years. According to the simulated hydrodynamic results analysis, the water power intensity weakens near the reclamation project with a residual current reducing water exchange capacity.

Abstract: A one-dimensional hydrodynamic model for the aeration chamber in the water-lifting aerator was developed on the basis of the total force balance between the driving force and flow resistance acting on the gas-liquid two-phase flow. Water velocity in the aeration chamber was predicted under different combinations of flow resistance coefficients at the top (KT) and the entrance and exit (KE), the results of sensitivity analysis showed that both KT and KE have significant effect on the predicted water velocity and gas holdup in the riser of the aeration chamber. Taking the water velocity as the main objective, flow resistance coefficients of KT and KE were optimized as and , where Ulr is the superficial water velocity. Using optimized model parameters, the water velocities were well predicted within ±7% of the measured ones respectively.

Abstract: This paper prensents the chromatography analysis condition study on the main poluted compozotion(furaldehyde and furfuran) in polytetrahydrofuran waste water with HPLC-DAD. Given the chromatography condition is that ODS is the stationary phase, the mix liquid in which methenyl:water = 75:25 is the mobile phase, the flow is 1.00 mL•min-1, using diode array detector(detect wavelength when furaldehyde is 274 nm and furfuran in 208nm), the injection volume is 2.0µL, the column temperature is 25.0°C. This paper presents the study of treatment of polytetrahydrofuran waste water by active carbon adsorption, investigates the three conditions of the amount of active carbon, stirring time and absorption temprature, and confirms that the best absorption condition is that the amount of active carbon is 3.0g, stirring for 30min and room temprature 20°C.
