Abstract: This paper analyzed the demand for equipment capability analysis in virtual cellular manufacturing systems, and then recognized that the traditional methodologies for equipment capability analysis can no longer present unique and shared capability boundaries of equipments. A new methodology for equipment capability analysis termed resource elements was reported. Moreover, the concrete realization process of resource elements was proposed. After did clustering analysis on the distribution of form generating schema among the equipments using SAS analysis software, an equipment resource model was constructed based on resource elements. The reported results show that the use of resource elements makes description about the functional characteristics among the equipments more clearly. Furthermore, the proposed method laid a foundation of recognition for virtual formation.

Abstract: Seafarers English level is very important to keep the ocean-going vessels safely navigate at sea. So China MSA requires all the seafarers on international ships must pass the SESIS Examination. After a brief introduction of SESIS Examination in China, this paper analyzed some problems of the examination with respect to examination syllabus, examination mode and test question types. Combined with the practice of SESIS training and examination organization, this paper gave some advice, such as revise and perfect examination syllabus, popularize and apply computer-assisted examination mode, carry out reform of examination questions and types.

Abstract: In order to promote inventory management level, against the existing problem of spare parts management currently, the spare parts inventory management system of an enterprise engaged in casting and mechanical operations was studied. First, the simulation software Flexsim was used to model the original system. Then for the purpose of optimizing the system, ABC classification was proposed. According to the comparison of simulation results before and after optimization, optimized model can effectively improve the efficiency of inventory management. This can provide the reference of spare parts management for the other companies.

Abstract: This paper presents a scheduling method for a semiconductor wafer fabrication to meet daily quantities of orders with multiple product types and different due dates. Since each order has a due date, a quantity to be produced and a product type, a production planning is made to satisfy meeting due date and quantity of order. By a production planning, the daily output quantities (to be transported to wafer probe facilities) and input quantities for all product types are determined and lots associated with orders are released to a fabrication. Although production planning is obtained, it is not easy for operators and manufacturing managers to observe production planning since the unexpected incidents, such as machine breakdown, operators' mistakes and preventive maintenance, occur frequently. Therefore, it happens frequently that actual daily output quantities of orders are different with the planed ones. In this paper, to satisfy production plans in real fabrication, efficient dispatching rule that can be used in scheduling and dispatching in manufacturing execution system for a semiconductor fabrication developed.

Abstract: As the production mode evolves, social manufacturing has emerged for enterprises to outsource non-core production tasks, make full use of the distributed socialized manufacturing resources and get value-added services. A social manufacturing system was proposed to configure customized community space (CCS) of an enterprise, organize CCS into manufacturing community and search for best partners for the enterprise. The framework of the proposed system is given. Correspondingly, three key enabling technologies are discussed to support the implementation of the system, that is, socialized manufacturing resources (SMRs) configuration, social manufacturing community (SMC) organization and collaboration and manufacturing outsourcing service (MOS) searching and matching. Finally, the conclusions are drawn and the future work of research in this area is given.
