Abstract: This paper reviewed and analyzed the literature about the improvement mechanism of energy efficiency, examining the relationship among industrial structure adjustment, technology innovation and energy efficiency with Hubei province’s data during 2001~2010, and finding that industrial structure adjustment and technology innovation can promote energy efficiency very significantly. Even so, because the elimination of backward production capacity will be more difficult and the energy-saving space will be narrower, government should encourage citizens’ participation, pay more attention to the use of market mechanisms, and promote the development and application of the technology using preferential tax policies.

Abstract: The production’s SPL distribution of the U.S. coal supply enterprises from 1983 to 2011 was obtained from the empirical analysis. And the nameplate capacity’s SPL distribution of the U.S. existing electric generating units in 2009 was obtained. Based on a universal bipartite model of the energy supply-demand network, the numerical results of the U.S. coal supply-demand network are obtained, which are in good agreement with the empirical results.

Abstract: Economic development of Shandong province is over-reliance on coal resources, which produces shackles for the development of economy in Shandong. No matter from the current economic growth mode, the structure of energy consumption and current environmental pollution, the development model of economy in Shandong requires the transition to a low-carbon model, and there is an urgent requirement to go low carbon development path. This paper analysis that the energy structure in the presence of low carbon development of coal industry in Shandong province is not coordinated, the industrial structure is irrational, the extensive mode of development has not fundamentally change and there are some achievements in low carbon technology innovation and the development of circular economy. The paper provides the path for transition to low-carbon electricity in coal industry in Shandong through coal production, coal utilization, coal technology of low-carbon transition and other aspects.

Abstract: The development of China's economy is in the rising period, the gross domestic product (GDP) maintains sustained growing. In the view of China's energy reserves and production, the former is a constant, but the latter is increasing. The sustainable development of China's economy will face four major energy problems: First, the total energy demand is huge and fast-growing, and supply capacity is increasingly tight. Second, the oil is highly dependent on imports and energy security is worried. Third, environmental pollution is serious and there is a huge amount of greenhouse gas emissions. We need to deal with the global climate challenge. Fourth, there is a large population in rural and small urban and an urgent need for great quantity of clean energy. The paper gives some specific measures: first, we will find and save source simultaneously, and ensure the development of the national economy; second, we will save and control energy consumption; third, we will protect environment, reduce emissions and change the way using energy; fourth, we should use clean energy.

Abstract: The international crude oil market is complicated in itself and with the rapid development of China in recent years, the dramatic changes of the international crude oil market have brought some risk to the security of Chinas oil market and the economic development of China. Value at risk (VaR), an effective measurement of financial risk, can be used to assess the risk of refined oil retail sales as well. However, VaR, as a model that can be applied to complicated nonlinear data, has not yet been widely researched. Therefore, an improved Historical Simulation Approach, historical stimulation of genetic algorithm to parameters selection of support vector machine, HSGA-SVMF, in this paper, is proposed, which is based on an approach the historical simulation with ARMA forecasts, HSAF. By comparing it with the HSAF and HSGA-SVMF approach, this paper gives evidence to show that HSGA-SVMF has a more effective forecasting power in the field of amount of refined oil.

Abstract: Over the next 20 years a rapid rise will be happen in global demand for steel, copper and aluminum, China will be the first biggest resource requirements country. This paper analyzes the global demand of steel, copper and aluminum, showing that global resource consumption center transfer according to the industrial centers, at present, China is the world's resources consumption center, steel, copper and aluminium consumption accounted for more than 40% of the world. Global demand for steel, copper and aluminum over the next 20 years will be rapid growth, accumulative total demand is 2 times of the past 20 years, but there may be a temporary slowdown in 3 - 5 years period. Over the next 20 years the first big country, China is one of the resource requirements of asean and India will become the main driver of demand growth.

Abstract: Through the expert investigation method and the analytic hierarchy process, analysis and research of the total social cost of nuclear power and thermal power. The results showed that: although the thermal power generation cost is lower than the cost of nuclear power, but the society cost is much higher than that of nuclear power. As a clean and new energy, the development of nuclear power solve the shortage of primary energy, at the same time put up new ideas to optimize the energy structure and solve the problems of environmental pollution.

Abstract: With the development of power industry and the growth of high-voltage power equipments in electric power company, the supply and management of spare parts are becoming more complexity and onerous. This investigation proposed a hybrid method to effectively predict the requirements of electric spare parts utilizing fuzzy logic and ARIMA so as to provide as a reference of spare parts control. The forecasting methods are tested in an empirical, comparative study for an electric power company of China. The results show that the approach is one of the most accurate methods.

Abstract: Energy efficiency is not fully considered as the key factor compared with coverage and interference in the conventional wireless local area network (WLAN) deployment phase in the past. However, energy consumption is increasing exponentially with the heavy growing number of mobile nodes (MN). As a result, excessive use of energy is becoming a serious problem even a disaster in multi-base-station WLAN. In this paper, a mechanism of transmission power configuration in WLAN deployment and dynamic transmission power control during WLAN running phase is proposed focusing on the energy efficiency and coverage. The performance of the mechanism has been experimentally evaluated at the system level and system-wide power usage on the demonstration testbed.
