Abstract: Communications on the Move (COTM) has gained a great deal of attention recently. The need for broadband connectivity from a moving vehicle has increased dramatically in the past few years for both commercial and military applications. This paper will discuss elements and considerations of providing satellite communications on a moving platform from a system perspective. It will focus on Internet Protocol (IP) over satellite since IP has become the dominant protocol for newly deployed voice and video applications. A global COMT network has much great degree of complexity than a regional network since it will require beam switchover and IP routing re-convergence as a vehicle moves from one satellite beam to another. This paper will present some approaches to COTM system design including antenna size and link budget, spectral density, the Doppler effect, beam and teleport switchover.

Abstract: In this paper we describe a model of a classic operating system kernel. We start out with an overview of the main components of the kernel and then present an exact definition of each of these components.

Abstract: On the basis of electrical network theory, Klein and Randić [Journal of Mathematical Chemistry 12 (1993) 81-9 proposed the novel concept of resistance distance. They view a graph as an (resistive) electrical network by considering each edge of the graph as a unit resistor. Then the resistance distance between any two vertices is defined as the effective resistance between these two nodes in the corresponding electrical network. In the present work, an interesting identity on resistance distances is obtained, that is, the sum of the resistance distance between end-vertices of an edge e of a plane graph G and the resistance distance between end-vertices of the dual edge e* of e in the dual graph G* of G is equal to one.

Abstract: On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools are frequently used in business, science and health to extract useful knowledge from massive databases. An important and hard optimization problem in OLAP data warehouses is the view selection problem, consisting of selecting a set of aggregate views of the data for speeding up future query processing. We apply one n Estimation of Distribution Algorithms (EDAs) to view selection under a size constraint. Our emphasis is to determine the suitability of the combination of EDAs with constraint handling to the view selection problem, compared to a widely used genetic algorithm. The EDAs are competitive with the genetic algorithm on a variety of problem instances, often finding approximate optimal solutions in a reasonable amount of time.

Abstract: Savant middleware is a key component of EPC system, it connects EPC tags readers and applications of the enterprise. Savant system's efficiency and robustness, largely determines the EPC system's efficiency and stability. The design of the Savant system is the key of success of EPC system. It is not easy to design Savant system, for there is no mature tool. That hinders the development of Interact of things. The paper studies the design of a Savant subsystem of EPC based on Agent, the Architecture of Savant system based on MAS. The paper implements on Intelligence characteristics of Savant and designs a prototype of Savant system based on JADE platform. The paper maybe point out a new way to construct Savant system and improve the wisdom of EPC system service ability through the Implementation of intelligent characteristics of Savant.

Abstract: The Military Scenario Definition Language (MSDL) is an approved SISO standard for describing components of military scenarios that can be shared across a variety of modeling and simulation systems. However, the “last mile problem” for MSDL development is to have a user interface that represents information flowing to/from C2 and simulation systems. We have developed an open-source Toolset for this purpose: MSDL Scenario Editing Toolset (MSDLSET), providing an easy-to-use graphical user interface to MSDL developers that can serve as a surrogate input/output GUI or alternately to generating MSDL file. MSDLSET is developed using other open-source Tools: Xcentric's JaxFront and BBN's OpenMap. MSDLSET provides easy and efficient means for the end user to edit validate and add MSDL components to the MSDL file. Numerous initiatives are in progress to employ the new Toolset and to realize the benefits of exchanging scenarios files across diverse systems.

Abstract: A low complexity joint estimator of multiple CFOs and Channels is presented in cooperative relay systems. The new algorithm first utilizes correlation-based frequency estimator to get CFOs initial estimation, and then serial interference cancellation based on correlation properties of training sequence in different relays is done to obtain the initial channel estimation. Moreover, a parallel iteration scheme with interference cancellation is proposed to reduce time complexity of the traditional serial iteration. In the overall process, matrix inversion is avoided. Thus, the complexity of the proposed algorithm in both time and computation is much less than the existing algorithms. In last, simulation results verify the iterative algorithm achieves a good performance in Decode and Forward (DF) relay system.

Abstract: Ontology similarity calculation and ontology mapping are crucial research topics in information retrieval. Ontology, as a concept structure model, is also widely used in biology, physics, geography and social sciences. In this paper, we propose new algorithms for ontology similarity measurement and ontology mapping using supervised multidimensional scaling and multi-dividing technologies. Two experimental results show that the proposed new algorithm has high accuracy and efficiency on ontology similarity calculation and ontology mapping in certain applications.

Abstract: At the rate data related to crop germplasm resources is growing rapidly, it's not surprising that the study of new storage technology is also growing in popularity. Cloud storage, due to its own advantages including cost, frequency of access, protection, and availability, has been one of the hot buzzwords of the past couple of years. Based on the analysis of the definition and characters of cloud storage, and combined with the characteristics of crop germplasm resources data and databases, this paper discussed the internal cloud storage architecture for crop germplasm resources data, detailed the level of structure diagram, access methods, storage scalability and availability. The study on the new storage architecture gives the model for building easy extension, management and safety of crop germplasm resources data storage system.

Abstract: In order to build multi-domain collaborative simulation systems, the method of making MATLAB programs join into HLA/RTI based distributed interaction simulation system needs to be studied. Aiming at giving full play to the advent-ages of MATLAB in visualization and engineering computing, improving the efficiency of collaborative simulation systems, this paper has proposed a method making MATLAB programs and SIMULINK modules seamlessly join into HLA/RTI based simulation system. The principles of the method are elaborated, and the designs of the related modules are introduced. The demonstrations and testing results show that the method could fully execute the visualized simula-tion functions of MATLAB, and has advantage in simulation efficiency over existing methods.
