Study on the Effect of Impregnation Process on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Chinese Fir LVL
Abstract: Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) was manufactured from Chinese fir, which had been impregnated with laboratory prepared low-molecular-weight water-soluble phenol formaldehyde (PF) resin. The effects on the mechanical and physical properties of the LVL were investigated which made from veneer that had been subjected to various levels of the resin treatment. The results showed that either under conditions of normal temperature and pressure, or at increased pressure, the weight gain would increase with the impregnating time. Under the same impregnation technology, along with the increase of resin concentration, dry weigh gain increased, wet weight gain first increased and then decreased. Density of LVL increased, TS reduced, MOR and MOE first increased and then decreased as the weight gain increased.

Abstract: With the mine shafts section and length increasing constantly, artificial shaft driving speed does not meet the need of modern large coal mines production and construction, using a set of comprehensive mechanized equipment to drive shaft is imperative. The length of bedrock section of auxiliary inclined shaft in Hecaogou mine is 1533.7m. The area of driving section is 21.6m2, belongs to large section super-long shaft. Hecaogou mine took the advantage of shafts comprehensive mechanized equipment, using high power EBZ318H fully-mechanized coal winning machine to drive, with scientific management method, realized safe and high-speed driving of inclined shaft, achieved good results that the highest speed was 227m per month, the effect was obviously. It has an actively practical meaning for other large section super-long shaft.

Abstract: This paper is aimed to study flexural wave propagation characteristics of lattice sandwich plates. Based on Blochs theorem, band structure of flexural wave propagation in the plate is obtained by commercial finite element software Comsol Multiphysics. Meanwhile, frequency response is obtained and its maximum attenuation is exactly corresponding to the band gaps. Finally, effects of lattice pattern on band gaps are introduced.

Abstract: This paper presents the design of a new compact three-axis in-plane motion stage which work directions are X, Y, θz. The proposed stage consists of four amplification flexure structures and four piezoelectric actuators. The amplification structure uses bridge type amplification mechanism and notch type flexure guide hinge. The size of the stage is 150×150×30mm3 and has 50×50mm2 hollow in the center of the stage.

Abstract: This paper introduces the practical application of the Solidworks motion simulation module, performs simulation analysis of rotary parts, and realizes the virtual assembly of the assembly. Then, we output and analyze the charts of motion parameters, in order to provide analysis data for practical state. In the meanwhile, we perform stress analysis of rotary parts by using finite element module of Solidworks, so that it can provide a certain reference value for practical running of rotary parts.

Abstract: A mathematical heat transfer model was built to simulate temperature, shell growth and phase transformations in continuous casting based on the technical conditions of the bloom caster of some steelmaking plant. The simulation result is coincided with the measurement. The effects of the operation parameters including casting speed, bloom size and steel melt superheat on the solidification process were discussed and the means of enhancing the bloom temperature was brought forward. The research results have been applied in the practical manufacture process to compute the best casting speed, to control the flow rate of secondary cooling water and to optimize the spray pattern of secondary cooling zone. The bloom quality and productivity could be improved.

Abstract: Hydraulic support is important supporting equipment in fully mechanized coal mining. Its working performance and efficiency have relatively big effect for the efficiency of coal mining. Aiming at the characteristics of dynamic requirements, parametric design and simulation analysis of the hydraulic support, a multi-body kinetics based hydraulic support intelligent simulation design and analysis method is proposed. The three dimensional model of the support is set up with Solidworks, and then the 3D modeling is converted to ADAMS software for motion simulation. Some key components in the model are imported to ANSYS software to perform the finite element analysis to acquiring the optimized design variables.

Abstract: The 3D (three dimensional) assembly model should provide all of the product information in order to realize pure 3D modeling in PLM(Product Lifecycle Management). This paper briefly introduces the development of MBD (Model-based Definition) at first, and then the overall information needed in 2D (two dimensional) assembly drawing is presented. At last, the overall needed information (dimensions, technical requirement, BOM(Bill of Materials)) is acted upon 3D assembly model successfully through the use of functions, for example, annotation, layer and view in Pro/ENGINEER.

Abstract: A method for tortuous sculptured surface reconstruction of the aeroengine blade was presented. The non-uniform relational B-spline (NURBS) technique method was adopted to reconstruct the surface within a specified accuracy. And it could satisfy our desired requirement in the continuity of the surface, tangent and curvature. The basic theory of NURBS was introduced. And the 3D graphics standard and the graphics library of OpenGL were used to show the result of the tortuous sculptured surface reconstruction on the platform VC++6.0.
