Abstract: The phenomenal growth of the object has brought huge increase in the traffic on World Wide Web. Long read latency of service experienced by the end-users, especially during the peak hours, continues to be the common problem to the popular web servers while retrieving popular objects. A replication and deletion algorithm is presented to solve object replication problem, which is a NP-hard problem and can be formulated as a 0-1 constraint optimization problem. The algorithm defines an appropriate replica distribution with the objective to decrease the number of object access operations over excessive distances, balance the load of popular web servers, and then minimize the network traffic of the object. Object deletion in a distributed web-server environment is one of the possible solutions to extend available memory and reduce the load of the server. During the adaptive time period due to different object update frequency, objects are dynamically duplicated and deleted in a distributed web server system with limited storage capacity. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract: 3D-SPIHT algorithm extends 2D-DWT to 3D-DWT and encodes the subsequent coefficients, which is a research hotspot in very low bit rate coding and data compression. This paper reorganizes the 3D-SPIHT coefficients with block structure, and puts forward the 3D-BSPIHT algorithm which can represent an insignificant block which contains four wavelet coefficients with one bit in order to improve the compression efficiency. This algorithm increases average PSNR by 0.2dB at most in comparison with 3D-SPIHT algorithm and decreases the computational complexity especially at low bit rate.

Abstract: The relationship between the meta search engine and independent search engine is presented. The news information searched by the independent search engine is not accurate and complete. After researching the technology of summary generation and meta search engine, summary generation algorithm is improved, the news summary based meta search engine system is put forward and the realization of it is expounded. Experiment showed the summary created did well in readability and coverage, and enhanced the precision.

Abstract: Most clustering algorithm require the number of cluster as a priori knowledge to input, and metrics based on Euclidean distance is good results with only circular clusters. An improved dynamic clustering algorithm was presented, which combines the quantum particle swarm algorithm with k-means algorithm by improving the encoding of quantum particles and the introduction of new distance metric rules. The algorithm has a quantum-behaved particle swarm global search capability. And In order to accelerate the convergence speed, the k-means algorithm is used to optimize every particle .Through the adjustment of the value of the fitness function, our algorithm can search for the optimal clustering number of clusters, so the number of clusters and centers are not subject to subjective factors. Extensive experiments verified the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Visual attention plays a very important role in the human information processing of the psychological adjustment mechanism. It is a conscious activity which chooses the useful information from large amounts of information. It owns the high efficiency and reliability in the process of human visual perception. Visual attention model, which is based on the visual attention and combined with the computer vision, builds a spatial feature of visual attention architecture. It is helpful not only to find out the visual cognition rule, but also to solve the problem of interested area selection and focus on improving the efficiency of the computer image processing. It has important application value in areas such as image extraction and image zooming. The paper has carried out the deeply study in the interested image region. With the improved visual attention model as a starting point, it combines with graph processing algorithm. And it uses the image extraction algorithm and image zooming algorithm to improve the visual attention model and detect the interested area.

Abstract: Using a sample of companies listed on the Shenzhen ChiNext board between 2009 and 2011, this paper analyzes the effect of shareholding proportion for the controlling shareholder on the firms R&D investment intensity. I find that the relation between R&D intensity and the equity of de facto controller is U-shape. My findings support the agency conflict between majority and minority shareholders.
