Abstract: The Equilibrium Phosphorus Concentration (EPC0) of Hohhot dust (HD) of Inner mongolia was measured to examine whether the HD acted as sources or sinks of soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) to the Yellow River water column. The modified Langmuir isotherm equation was modified to describe phosphorus (P) adsorption on the HD in Yellow River water. The EPC0 was higher than P concentration in the overlying water, which indicates that the HD acted as sources of phosphate. In addition, solid concentration (Cs) effect existed obviously in P adsorption experiment and the hysteresis got bigger as Cs increased.

Abstract: A new method was introduced for rapid measurement of iron ions in drinking water by automatic discrete spectrophotometry. In the iron concentration range 0-1.5mg/L, the linear relationship was good and the correlation coefficient was 0.9998. The total iron detection of recovery efficiency was 99.94%±1.6% and detection limit was 0.006mg/L and precision of the RSD% was 0.35%. The results show that the method was direct, fast, stable operation and lower iron concentration in water can be accurately detected. There is no significant difference compared with the results of atomic absorption spectrometry methods.

Abstract: Nitrogen oxides are dangerous toxic pollutants to human health and the atmospheric environment.[ Boilers NOx emissions as a major source of energy conservation is the most important task. The generation principles and influencing factors of coal-fired power plant boilers NOx were discussed. The current mechanism modeling had limitations and shortcomings, by studying reversed modelings and artificial neural network theory, Elman neural network was used to build the prediction model of coal-fired boilers NOx emissions. By comparing the predicted results with the true results, the convergence speed and accuracy of the method are both satisfactory to provide reference and guidance, and it provides new ideas and new ways for thermal power NOx measurements.

Abstract: In water monitoring, effect of chloride ion in water body on determining COD can not be ignored. Potassium dichromate has a strong oxidizing, and it can oxidize most of the organic in matter. But it generally is used to determine the water body which COD is larger than 30mg/L, and easily influenced by Chloride ion. So we often use alkaline potassium permanganate method which has weak impact by Chloride ion in high chlorine concentration wastewater. For the tidal estuary, we often use acidic potassium permanganate method in upstream and alkaline potassium permanganate method in downstream. The different detection methods cause the disagreement of water quality evaluation. This paper describes the influence of chlorine level on the COD standard solution prepared by laboratory and river freshwater sample from Qiantang River upstream in detail, and analyses the difference between the acid potassium permanganate method and alkaline potassium permanganate by comparing the COD standard solution prepared by laboratory and the freshwater sample. Last, this paper discusses the variation of COD during a tidal period.

Abstract: Based upon the "pressure-state-response" concept frame model, an index system including three project layer indicators had been established for the evaluation of local land eco-security. The project layers were selected as land ecological pressure, land ecological status and land ecological response. 17 indicators had been adopted to describe the status of the criteria layers. The index weight was determined by analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method. Then the value of local land eco-security can be obtained by composite index method. During the analyses, Changsha area including 5 districts and 4 counties was taken as an example. The results show that the land eco-security value in the area in 2010 is among 0.5419~0.6876. It has been found that there exists a certain gap between the main urban area and counties, and the status of land eco-security in each county is generally better than that in the main urban area.

Abstract: According to the fundamental theory and rational mode of ecological campus development, Nanshan campus of Chongqing University of Education (CQUE) was planned and constructed. The landscape structure mainly bases on the framework of one center, one axis, one circle and three veins; weaved in is the network of greenery, which is consisted of the core, gallery, band, gardens and spots of planting; meanwhile, the unique history and culture of CQUE are integrated into the landscape design. Consequently it is achieved of good ecological, economic and social benefits.

Abstract: Biofiltration of 1,2-dichloroethane vapor from air stream was discussed in this study. Experimental investigations were conducted on a laboratory scale biofilter, containing mixture of compost and polystyrene inert particles as the filter materials. Mixed consortium of activated sludge was used as an inoculum. The continuous performance of biofilter for 1,2-dichloroethane removal was monitored for different concentrations and flow rates. The removal efficiencies decreased at higher concentrations and higher gas flow rates. The response of biofilter to upset loading operation showed that the biofilm in the biofilters was quite stable and quickly adapted to adverse operational conditions.

Abstract: In this paper, the construction of the pressure-state-response model is referred to build the indicator system for assessing the environmentally sustainable development of the expressway during construction and operation periods. And a specific measurement method is given in this study. The principal component analysis is performed to determine the weight of each index by statistical analysis, and to calculate the environmentally sustainable development indices during the construction period and operation period, and the whole project. According to the results, the environmentally sustainable development indices during construction and operation period are most related with the pressure index, which means that the environmentally sustainable development of the expressway is closely related to the reasonability of the design, construction and operation of the expressway itself.

Abstract: Whether construction and development of artificial ecological recreation site are successful is based upon its attraction to tourist, comprehensive evaluation on attraction of recreation site is an important section of construction of recreation site, hence it is very necessary to establish evaluation system of artificial ecological recreation site and to make objective evaluation on attraction of artificial ecological recreation site. Artificial ecological recreation site is taken as sample in this paper, natural and social factors influencing its emergence and development are considered fully, evaluation factors which embody feature of ecological recreation site such as ecology, sustainability, appearance and etc are selected specially, and an index system of evaluation on artificial ecological recreation site is established composed of 3 first-grade indexes, 10 second-grade indexes and 28 third-grade indexes involving recreational resource, recreational support, as well as regional and location condition of recreation site. The aim is to throw a sprat in order to catch a herring, so as to promote in-depth research and development of ecological recreation site.

Abstract: This study investigated the scenarios of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission for Thailands textile industries between 2010 to 2030. GHG emission for Business as usual (BAU) Scenario is increasing from 5.10 to 11.72 Million tons carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2eq) (approximately 4.3% per year). The IME scenario that new installation of high efficient equipment showed the GHG mitigate as 6.34% in 2030 compared with BAU scenario that including motor, compressor and boiler have contributed as 62.6, 30.6 and 6.8% of the GHG mitigation potential, respectively. On the other hand, the FS scenario which is switching from fuel oil to natural gas mitigates GHG emission as 0.97%.
