Pioneering works by Yasuda et al. [21, 22, 23, 24] revealed the existence of enhanced atomic mo bility at the nanoscale, revealing a much faster intermixing in nanosystems compared to what would be expected on the basis of bulk diffusivity.
Yasuda et al. initially prepared metastable Au@M coreshell configurations1, with M=Zn, Cu, Sb.
Yin et al. [32] considered ageing of AuCu nanoalloys both in air and under UHV conditions, showing that Au@Cu arrangements were quite unstable while Cu@Au nanoalloys were keeping their chemical ordering even when exposed to air.

Medraj et al. [16] measured the pressure drop through metallic foams.
The study of Baril et al. [17] was further complemented by the work of Innocentini et al. [18].
Two of the four samples used in the study of Baril et al. [17] were used by Innocentini et al. [18].
The reason for using dc as the particle diameter is explained in Malico et al. [23].

The tensile stress seen in α-Al2O3 at the early stage of oxidation is of the same level as that reported by Tortorelli et al [9], and the low level of steady state stress also agrees well with prior reports on the development of growth stresses in α-Al2O3 scales [8,9].

Kamtchueng et al. [4] reported a range of 14.6 – 47.8 % clay fraction in lateritic soil.
The findings of Ikeagwuani et al. [36] and al-Swaidani et al. [37] favoured the fact that 8% lime addition lowers the plasticity of blended soil.

Wattanasakulpong et al. [3] discussed the porosities that occur in lateral FGM samples made with a multistage sequential filtration technique.
Recently, a two variable refined plate theory was developed by Kim et al. [61] for laminated composite plates, the most interesting feature of which is that it does not require shear correction factor, and has strong similarities to the CPT in such respects as governing equation, boundary conditions and moment expressions.
The FG plate is taken to be made of aluminum and alumina with the following material properties: • Metal (Aluminum, Al): Em = 70 GPa; ν = 0.3; ρm = 2702 kg/m3
