Abstract: This paper proposes a new open curve detection algorithm for recognizing the laser rays on the road to verify the roughness of the road surface by parsing the curvature of the laser rays. The laser line in the image is first enhanced by the bright line enhance filtering to remove the clutters generated by the background. The enhanced line has the characteristics that its gray value is greater than that of background, so the established energy functional in open curve detection process has a gray value constraint to drive the evolution curve to the brightest place in image. The line on the road surface is an open curve throughout the whole image, so we fixed the two endpoints of the evolution curve to maintain it is an open curve in curve evolution. Moreover, we design an edge inhibit operator to restrain the influence of objects edges to ensure the accuracy of the test laser line. We compared our algorithm with the edge detection operators, and the comparison results showed that our method is more accurate and more robustness to the background.

Abstract: An algorithm is described for constructing a weighted undirected graph structure, based on the principle of directed acyclic graph, used the improved Floyd algorithm to improve the multi-node version of the evolution of information in order to release as an indicator of difference, to improve the reliability of multiple versions of data storage and multi-version storage and query efficiency. Theory and examples show that efficiency is improved using the optimization model in multi-node information system.

Abstract: The cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV) of middle cerebral artery (MCA) was detected during the fatigue driving using Transcranial Doppler. The CBFV was also analyzed after the fatigue driving by different means of relaxation to alleviate brain fatigue. The results show that the CBFV in MCA is reduced by driving fatigue.

Abstract: It was much more complex and difficult for off-line signature identification attributable to the limitation of available information. To solve the problem, a signature identification method based on strength and strokes direction was proposed. The signature image acquired was gray-scaled and filtered at the stage of preprocess; then the image was two-valued with different threshold based on strength feature, the regions which grayscale was less than threshold were retained; the strokes which possess distinctive directional feature were extracted by using mathematical morphology and combining different scales/directions structure element based on strokes direction feature; at last judgement was maked for sample in accordance with corresponding feature. Experimental results showed the proposed method can enhance accurate rate effectively, improve real-time performance, which was a try beneficial to apply new methods for off-line signature identification.

Abstract: A kind of stimulation device aiming at alleviating brain fag was designed. Meanwhile, the specific stereo signal which is expected to induce alpha-wave of human brain was programmed and encoded into audio files. To evaluating the effectiveness of this system, a comparison test was conducted. Volunteers are divided into control group and experimental group. Via power spectral analyzing, we can find the difference of EEG signals between control group and experimental group in alpha band (8~13Hz). It can be noted that the intensity of alpha-wave and beta-wave of experimental group is larger than that of control group obviously.

Abstract: It introduces a design of the control system for rehabilitation horse based on MCU STC89C52. The system’s control core is an 8-bit MCU STC89C52. First, the user input commands through the keyboard, then send commands to the DA conversion chip PCF8591 which can achieve the digital signal to analog signal output after dealing with MCU. Finally, PCF8591 send analog signal to the speed controller of DC motor in order to control the DC motor’s speed. Meanwhile, it builds a human-machine interface (HMI) to display the real-time speed of the horse through LCD.

Abstract: The objective of the study was to investigate neural processing during short-term visual working memory task under different memory load and cue size. Two or four items of the same sign but in different colors were presented on both sides of the screen, in which cues were applied as an indicator. Participants were cued to remember the colors of one side and then make a quickly response to the test sample. On the performance level, responses accuracy decreased with the increasing numbers of working memory loads. The response time increased with the increasing numbers of working memory load. The response time latency to the big cue was larger than that of the small cue. On the neural processing level, the high-load stimuli could arouse a more negative wave than the low-load stimuli.

Abstract: A ventricular septal defect (VSD) is the most common congenital heart disease, which can be cured with a high probability if it is detected in an early stage. In our previous researches on heart sounds (HSs) analysis, the detection methods of heart disease using the cardiac sound characteristic waveforms in time domain or in frequency domain were proposed, and have been succeed in discriminating several heart murmurs. In this paper, we are going to apply these methods to detect VSD. Based on analysis results, a new approach by using the feature parameters both in time domain and in frequency domain is proposed to achieve higher discrimination rates.

An Experimental Study of EMG Signal Features for Motion Discriminations Using Support Vector Machine
Abstract: This paper treats a discrimination problem of wrist/hand motion patterns from EMG signal. We examined which of the following signal features was appropriate: raw signal, integrated signal (IEMG), the max frequency component, power spectrum or rising voltage level. For the discrimination algorism, a Support Vector Machine (SVM) was introduced. As a result, around 80% discrimination rate was accomplished from integrated signal, power spectrum and rising voltage level. The IEMG signal scored the highest 83.3% discrimination rate.

Abstract: Based on the liquid resonance principle, a novel sensing technology for detecting the blood coagulation was proposed. The course of blood coagulation can alter its inherent properties, such as viscosity and density. As a result, liquid resonance frequency of blood will change with the blood agglomeration. A gold-plated Interdigital Electrode (IDE) was fabricated and a detection system was designed for the acquisition of the frequency. The activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) was measured using the IDE and the detection system. For four volunteers, the activated partial thromboplastin time measured is 22-37 seconds, which are consistent with the reference value 22-38 seconds. The results indicated that the liquid resonance frequency can characterize the course of blood coagulation.
