Abstract: To uncover host cellular responses in the early stage of classical swine fever virus infection, a proteomic analysis was conducted using 2D electrophoresis followed by MALDI-TOF-TOF identification. Altered expression of 21 protein spots in infected pk-15 cells at 24 h p.i. were identified in 2D gels, with 13 of these being characterized by MALDI-TOF-TOF. These proteins function in cytoskeletal, energy metabolism, nucleic acid/processing, and cellular stress. The expression alteration of these proteins presents the changes in physiological functions of host cells and provides a clue for further understanding of the mechanisms of CSFV infection and pathogenesis.

Abstract: Formaldehyde is a carcinogen with highly toxic effect on organisms. ADH5 gene encodes the human formaldehyde dehydrogenase and is important to the detoxification of formaldehyde. The purpose of this work was to establish a platform to study ADH5 genetic markers induced by formaldehyde. After analyzing ADH5 SNPs database of Chinese Population, the three specific SNP sites : rs1154409,rs28730619,rs1154414 were sequenced in Human immortalized B lymphocytes of Chinese Han population by DNA sequencing. The real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) approach was used to estimate expression of ADH5 mRNAs influenced by SNPs structure in human immortalized lymphocytes. Different immortalized B lymphocytes lines are gained by genotyping of multiple SNP sites of ADH5 gene. The mRNA expression of ADH5 could up regulate by 0.0005% formaldehyde for 48h exposure. But it showed rs1154409,rs28730619,rs1154414 SNPs has no association with the expression of ADH5 mRNA induced by formaldehyde. The human immortality lymphocytes model might be an efficient tool in a detection of genetic biomarkers of susceptibility to chemicals. The further research should be explored in the protein expression in more cell lines.

Abstract: In this paper we optimized liquid fermentation conditions of Monascus X-1 on cholesterol oxidase (COD) production, and then the COD was isolated by ammonium sulfate deposition and its properties were studied. The results showed that COD produced by Monascus X-1 was a kind of extracellular enzyme. The yields came to maximum at the 6th day. The most suitable medium for Monascus X-1 generating COD was the rice medium, the highest enzyme activity was obtained at 140r/min, inoculum concentration 6%, when 60mL of the culture in 250mL shake flasks grown in rice medium. Under the optimized cultivation conditions, the enzyme activity reached 1168U/L, which increased 1.52 times compared to the previous fermentation conditions. The enzyme had favorable pH and thermal stability, while the optimum pH and temperature of enzyme activity was 7.0 and 40, respectively.

Abstract: The low protocorm rate of the hybrid Cymbidium Lucky Gloria × Cymbidium Lovely Moon Crescent (LLC) has long been a detriment to its propagation. In this paper, we describe the thorough research about the effects of calcium ion concentration on the protocorm differentiation for Cymbidium hybrid LLC in vitro through 4 levels of Ca2+ concentration in MS medium based on the trial test including medium experiment with different calcium concentrations and the use of calcium inhibitor La3+. Our studies revealed that Ca2+ played a key role in protocorm differentiation of LLC, which was against the generally accepted idea about the function of 6-benzyl aminopurine (6-BA) and indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) in hybrid cymbidium protorcorm differentiation in vitro. The Chain reaction constituted by cytokinin, calcium, and auxin is submitted to exloringly explain the function mechanism of Ca2+.

Abstract: Kilovoltage Cone Beam CT (kV CBCT) based image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) is an important approach to correct patient setup which can generate 3D patient anatomy image in radiotherapy process. This paper discusses multi degrees of freedom patient positioning using CBCT based IGRT and presents a new coordinate system classification method. We can conclude that it is essential for correct patient setup to overlap three key points, namely the center of mass (CM) of tumor target, the origin of treatment planning CT image coordinate system, the origin of CBCT image coordinate system). In addition, this paper gives the implementing method of overlapping these three points.

Abstract: To solve the problem of the traditional experiment way limited by space, time and equipment, and improve the teaching quality of the sensor technology experiment, a development program of the networked virtual experiment platform for sensor technology is proposed in this paper. With MATLAB, Flash and other software tools, multiple sensor experimental modules are developed and designed to achieve the virtual simulation of the experimental environment, the operating process and the phenomenon. This platform has many functions such as data saving, display and printing. At the same time, it can give scores of the students experiment results.

Abstract: Fuzzy enhancement is applied in computer aided diagnosis of liver cancer from B mode ultrasound images as a pre-processing procedure in this paper. It was evaluated with three classifiers including K means, back propagation neural network and support vector machine using 25 features from single gray-level statistic, gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), and gray-level run-length matrix (GLRLM). The results show that the fuzzy enhancement algorithm can improve classification accuracy of normal liver, liver cancer and Hemangioma from B mode ultrasound images for three classifiers. It is proved that fuzzy enhancement as an efficient preprocessing procedure could be used in the computer aided diagnosis system of liver cancer.

Abstract: As computing technology becomes more pervasive and mobile services are deployed, applications will need flexible access control mechanisms. Unlike traditional approaches based on the identity/role for access control, access decisions for these applications will depend on the combination of the required attributes of users and the contextual information. This paper proposes a semantic-aware context-based access control framework (called SA_CBAC) to be applied in mobile web services environment by combining semantic web technologies with context-based access control mechanism. In order to handle context information in the framework, this paper proposes a context ontology to represent contextual information and employ it in the inference engine. This paper also focuses on access control policies and addresses these issues by representing context, user attributes and resource attributes in knowledge base and extending XACML to incorporate the knowledge base.

Abstract: Bone loss is a well-known consequence of skeletal unloading in long-duration spaceflight. Its prevention and recovery do not have a perfect solution and often require physical therapy. In this paper, we developed a system to prevent and recover bone loss with the combination of electrical stimulation (ES) and mechanical stimulation (MS). The system provides four-channel electrical stimulation and two mechanical stimulations. Various parameters of the stimulations can be tuned to achieve the best therapeutic effect.

Abstract: The increase in stealth of malware has brought the Dendritic Cell Algorithm (DCA) many difficulties in malware detection. To solve this problem, in this paper we take inspiration from immunological adjuvant which can enhance the immune responses to weak antigens, and propose its counterpart namely artificial adjuvant as an improvement for the DCA. Artificial adjuvants are capable of increasing the immunogenicity of stealthy malware and accelerating the reaction of the dendritic cells (DCs). In such a way, they shed some lights for the DCA on improving the performance of stealthy malware detection in respect of not only improving the detection rate, but also helping detecting hidden malware as soon as possible.
