Abstract: Robot prosthesis has 6 degrees of freedom, including outward swinging and forward and backward swinging, which are droved by servo motors. In order to reduce the servo motors’ driving torque, a gas spring was added on shoulder to balance the gravity torque. In this paper, the difference between gravity torque and balanced torque was created and taken as optimized object firstly, and then a mathematical model was created and Matlab program on the base of nonlinear programming genetic algorithm were made for obtaining the optimum, lastly the simulation model and optimizing process diagrams were outputted.

Abstract: There is a significant amount of research and empirical investigations indicating that consideration of users’ requirements and preferences has become an important issue in product design. They are also important as a valuable source of facilitating the product designer in establishing the characteristics of a new product. The aim of this study is to establish the influence of users’ requirements and preferences that has resulted in the success of an automotive. A survey was conducted to identify the key characteristics factors for success of an automotive. Based on these findings, several recommendations are proposed for a product designer to develop the specifications for a new automotive.

Abstract: Based on the study and analysis of product design evaluation, structure model of product evaluation in stages based on robust design is presented, and the key technologies are studied. Robust design aims to develop a product that satisfies design requirements while ensuring minimal effects of environmental variability on product performance. The different methods of robust design are applied in product evaluate according to design stage characteristics. Based on mechanical transmission design, a design evaluation system is implemented with the computer. The system is help for concurrent product development in whole life cycle.

Abstract: Late-model vehicles inevitably will replace the automobiles due to the non-renewable characteristic of the automobile fuel. This paper has analysed the development trend of the novel vehicles that are driven by wheel hub motor, and proposed the necessity and the research direction of the single electric vehicle.

Abstract: Seating comfort is an important factor for bicycle-rider. It was shown that riding on discomfort saddle could affect the blood circulation system, genitourinary system of human, and harm to their health. In this paper, detailed finite element model of seated human associated with a prototypical bicycle saddle were established, and contact pressure between human body and the saddle was analyzed quantitatively. Then two positions of the saddle were considered, which included horizontal saddle and the one with an upward degree of 15. The contact pressure and the Mises stress over the polyurethane model and the industrial polypropylene model, as well as the buttocks and the perineal area of human body were obtained. The results show that contact pressure is centralized in body's buttocks and the perineal area, especially in the buttocks. Mises stress over human is lower when the saddle is horizontal compared with the upward raked one, in other words, horizontal saddle can improve seating comfort of human.

Abstract: The auto brand mark design is the core of auto brand image system, the important element of auto body styling design and the carrier of auto culture, which possesses both practical and artistic value and reflects the materiality and spirituality of auto culture. The cultural feature, artistic value, ethnic styles, identifiability and symbolic features of brand mark design together determine that auto brand mark design has its own designing laws. This paper focuses on the method of classifying different approaches to brand mark design, promotes designing principles of brand mark and then analyzes future design trends.

Abstract: Currently, the mechanical products assistance design systems mainly focus on the detailed design and the function of mathematics models are often been neglected. In order to solve these problems, a application of mechanical products conceptual design is studied using Enhanced Genetic Algorithm (EGA) in this paper. The conceptual design system is established based on Object-oriented Knowledge representation, and at last a design case of conceptual innovation design is given.

Abstract: An optimizing design idea is produced for the structure of top beam of electrostatic precipitator casing. The thermos cabinet and the original box shaped top beam of casing compose a truss beam system whose overall section height is increased greatly, resultantly, the bend bearing capacity of truss beam increases significantly than that of the original top beam of casing. Consequently, the wall thickness of box section of the original top beam can be reduced so that the steel consumption can be saved. Based on a practical project, the load effects on truss beam were investigated, respectively, including the air pressure difference and the temperature difference among external layer, thermos cabinet and interior of casing. Besides, the evaluation method of internal force in truss beam was investigated and the selective preference of truss beam configuration was conducted. The unfavorable load cases of air pressure difference and temperature difference are proposed for truss beam design. Besides, the accurate evaluation method of internal force and the design method for economical configuration of truss are proposed. In consideration of load bearing effect of thermos cabinet layer, the optimized design of truss beam originating from box sectioned top beam can ensure the truss works safely and reduce the steel consumption significantly.

Abstract: Due to recent increasing life standards and the development of social civilization, the demands for bedding’s modeling, aesthetic and comfort are greatly improved. At the same time, health is considered as an important factor in the design concept of modern bedding, and also health consumption become one of the main characters in modern bedding consumption. With the study on the principle of bedding-related human engineering, some quantitative theoretical data are summarized, to make the bedding modeling design more scientific. Also, a novel design of bedding series (focused on the bolster and back cushion) which makes the bedding more extensive and depth in application is adopted in this paper.
