Abstract: In the current stage of product development process, it is lack of the technology of parameters association modeling, in order to achieve the product parameter configuration modeling, building the interface association constraints network model based on the process of top-down product decomposition,. The technology proposed in this paper studied reasonable constraints organization and expression method, it includes parameter extraction, data structure based on “Interface- Characteristic parameters- Coupling constraints and product coupling modeling analysis. The technology provides support for the detailed design of product.

Abstract: Packaging design for the typical characteristics of cylindrical ceramic furnishings selects the acrylic and MDF as hoarding material, and uses the 32mm system modular to design structure of hoardings, we meet the needs of different sizes of ceramic furnishings by connections of the hoardings in any combination, and also have taken the cellular edge length of 20mm honeycomb paperboard where a cushioning material and box hoardings are used as secondary recovery into account. The results show that the selection which uses the nylon rope whose diameter is 5mm as the connection of the box works better.

Abstract: In order to optimize product design, to improve product manufacturability, to resolve the status of current production’s passive remanufacturing, this paper proposed the concept of active remanufacturing design oriented to product green design. The improved model of active remanufacturing product design was established and divided into four stages which are product remanufacturability analysis, optimization design, design parameter feedback and remanufacturability evaluation. Through the establishment of product design green system analysis and evaluation model, a design thought was proposed to evaluated design scheme comprehensively and select a preferable remanufacturing of green products. Finally, the model's validity and practicability are validated by the example of a new design of NC machine tool.

Abstract: In order to deal with complex product design optimization problems with both discrete and continuous variables, mix-variable collaborative design optimization algorithm is put forward based on collaborative optimization, which is an efficient way to solve mix-variable design optimization problems. On the rule of “divide and rule”, the algorithm decouples the problem into some relatively simple subsystems. Then by using collaborative mechanism, the optimal solution is obtained. Finally, the result of a case shows the feasibility and effectiveness of the new algorithm.

Abstract: By applying pedigree into product conceptual structure design, an evolutionary conceptual design approach is set forth to make full use of creative and innovative intelligence of living systems for design automation. According to the evolutional logic of quantities to quality, the relationship between different conceptual structures is deduced and ordered,then is expressed as product pedigree. The classification description model of product pedigree is established, which can be used as unified functionally isomorphic model during the intelligent conceptual design process. On the other hand, according to the evolutional logic of quality to quantities, pedigree based product evolutionary design strategy are given. Based on the relation network among pedigree units, multiple variation designing schemes can be obtained, which is a strong backbone to the innovative design process. Finally, design examples are used to demonstrate the successful application of the proposed pedigree based evolutionary method in the multi-scheme conceptual design of product.

Abstract: As a critical tool in the interface design, prototyping can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the interface and can help developers and manufactures decrease the cost of products development by testing products’ usability before they enter into the market. The paper introduced the importance of prototyping in product interface design and its developing trend in the present and in the future by discussing the background of prototyping techniques, the advantages and disadvantages of different types of prototypes, how to prototype in the product interface design and how to evaluate prototypes.

Abstract: According to uncertainty of the design parameters for the domestic wave-maker of flat-plate, the wave-frame is analyzed based on ANSYS to find out its weaknesses and various parts of the deformation in order to reduce the negative effects of the wave system.On the premise of ensuring the intensity and stiffness, the purpose is to reduce weight and to reduce the inertia force, so as to achieve the optimization of the wave-maker.

According to the relationship between different product structures with same function, the classification model of product pedigree is established, which can be used as unified functional isomorphic model during the intelligent conceptual design process. On the other hand, according to the evolutional logic from quality change to quantities change, pedigree based product evolutionary design strategy is given. Product pedigrees which are homology dependent are used as basic evolutionary models, based on which, the parameter based, interaction field based and interaction mater based evolutional conceptual design method are proposed, respectively. Based on the relation network of the pedigree units, multiple variant design schemes can be obtained, which is a strong backbone to the innovative design process. Finally, design examples are used to demonstrate the successful application of the proposed pedigree based evolutionary method in the product variant design.

Abstract: In order to effectively integrate the superior resources in the field of production design and cooperate every procedure in the process of design and manufacture, this paper proposes a kind of cooperative product design for knowledge-oriented management. According to knowledge classification, this research can be divided into product design and program design; along with the form of CSCD’s dynamic distribution, this research also analyzes the knowledge management architecture under the collaborative environment; furthermore, it then establishes the knowledge-oriented cooperation environmental management system under the logical framework. Finally, through the example of special vehicle co-operation projects, this paper gives illustration to the research and verifies the actual effectiveness of the method.
