Abstract: The Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) is a quasi-meridian reflecting Schmidt telescope laid down on the ground with its optical axis fixed in the meridian plane and the telescope will be the one that possesses the highest spectrum acquiring rate in the world. To secure its smooth operation, each component, especially the mirror system needs to be maintained in a good condition. Some equipment is needed and the operation must be considered at early stages. In this paper, a feasible approach is put forward in which the concept of human and machine cooperative work is used to assure the successful operation at lower cost. An electrical driven forklift with some special fixtures designed for this work is used for MB mirror system and a special designed crane is used for the assembly and disassembly of MA mirror system. Procedures and methodologies for the identification of assembly and disassembly sequence, special tool design, time and cost analysis, and human factors analysis of the assembly and disassembly sequence are presented.

Abstract: Relationships of cold protective clothing design and market were explored for apparel function and structure, and cold protective clothing company product to successful meet market demand. People require a large number of outdoor cold protective clothing that makes a chain of market, designer, consumer and manufacturer. They are not only focus on apparel functional comfort but also garment style preference structural design. Sophisticated new technologies are available to the apparel industry to create automated custom-fitted clothing, using 3-D body scanning and software designed to automate patternmaking to effectively improve productivity [1]. Currently, the quantification of fit is complex and ambiguous and objective methods. The purpose of this study was to explore the cold protective clothing manufacturer should have the necessary conditions on function and structure for the market demand.

Abstract: morphological semantics is an important theory of kansei engineering. Making an analysis of psychological feeling of modern furniture by using molding semantics, pointed out that the awareness of modern furniture in material, shape, structure, color quantization scheme, which make the design of furniture products more in line with the need for user’s cognition, and provide effectiveness for furniture products’ design as well as manufacturing, make furniture to meet people to use the functional requirements and satisfy people’s aesthetic desire.

Abstract: In order to meet the reasonable matching of resource for collaborative development of products in manufacturing enterprises including involvement of suppliers on a large scale, a Generalized Design Resource Pool (GDRP) and It’s Resource Particles (RP) are defined, a multi-project collaborative planning and resource particles constraint-matching model with realization algorithm is presented. Finally, a case of developing mobile phone to an enterprise is presented to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the presented approach.

Abstract: The current clothes for standard body type are difficult to meet the middle-aged female. Through measuring and analysising the body for the middle-aged female (40 - 59years old) and the dataes,this paper offers a statistics summary. Aiming at the defects in the applying female suit,we adjust the reference parameters of pattern structure and improve the way of processing. The conclusion can be the guidance for pattern design of special type suit.

Abstract: Based on the theory of PLC, a new method of form design is draw up to be “PLC analysis - Progress choose - Morphological characteristics –Product form design”, by considering the multiple relevant processes in all stages of PLC, to achieve the full unity of the form and processes, which varied from the traditional thinking mode of product design concentrating on product manufacturing process only. Then the design of motor oil container was done with the implement of new method.

Abstract: This paper describes carbon reduction techniques as energy saving design and energy saving manufacturing technologies in panel furniture industry. The author points out that reasonable panel furniture design means energy saving design. Designers can get reasonable panel furniture design by using appropriate design platform, doing good color designs and designing wonderful culture characters. Tow examples explained how those did. This paper also classifies the carbon reduction manufacturing process of panel furniture as GT (group technology) technologies, perfect panel board cutting plan and reasonable surface decoration. Some personal working experience is provided to support them.

Abstract: Fault diagnostic strategy profoundly influences diagnostic efficiency and cost. Diagnostic strategy optimization is a Non-Polynomial optimizing problem, which is a hard one. Applying conventional methods to resolving it, there are some difficulties: more complex to implementing algorithm, more time to diagnosing and more difficult to attaining global optimum. Particle swarm algorithm (PSA) is a new intelligent optimization algorithm, and applied to optimizing diagnostic strategy. Function of all-in cost is constructed by state probability, isolating matrix and test cost, serving as objective function. Test sequences are directly put into particle codes. Particle speeds are transformed to learning probability towards the best one in the swarm. Given proper parameters in PSA, the method can search the global optimum in a little time. At last, an example shows the approach is feasible and effective.

Abstract: Trimming is a kind of problem resolving tools for invention in TRIZ. The technical system can be improved by trimming a component of the system and redistributing its function to other components.Functional analysis is the basis for applying trimming method. Based on definition of function and the process of functional analysis process, four kinds of technical system trimming strategies were discussed and the general steps for technical system trimming were analyzed.The effectiveness of trimming method was applied on the exercise washing machine design.

Abstract: Conceptual design is the most innovative stages in the life cycle of product development, and its process consists of a large number of cognitive activities. Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary research emerging science of nature and law of the mind and intelligence. In order to get the creative thinking effectively in the product innovation process, the cognitive science and creative thinking of thinking psychology and the inventive problem solving method which is based on the law of engineering and technical development must be organically combined, to stimulate the thinking of designers and achieve the product innovation design rapidly. A method based on the cognitive process to solve the innovation problem is presented in this paper. TRIZ and cognitive process are combined organically. The cognitive processes of TRIZ problem-solving are also described in this paper, and an instance of the beam extraction machine is given.
