Abstract: The iterative closest point (ICP) method is one of the most important methods for 2D/3D point registration. Robust statistical method is applied widely for improving the robustness of ICP. A new method that incorporates the Least Trimmed Squares (LTS) Estimator into the ICP is proposed in this paper. In this method, outliers are removed according to characteristics of residual distribution. A large number of experimental results show that the proposed method is robust and efficient.

Abstract: In the automatic production, the application of machine vision technology on image pattern recognition is an important task. Realistic image is composed of these basic units such as straight lines, circles and ellipses. But the actual images usually contain noise and other interferences. So the images will have some discontinuous modes. Hough transform is commonly used to detect straight lines, circles or other parametric patterns in noisy images. In practical application, Hough transform requires a large amount of storage space and computation. In the paper, it proposed an efficient coarse-to-fine search technique to reduce the storage and computing time of circle detection in image. Variable size image and accumulated matrix are used to reduce the required amount of computation and storage for Hough transform. It shows the parameter convergence speed and precision by using different iterative algorithms. The experimental results show that the coarse-to-fine search technique is very suitable for circle detection having time constraints.

Abstract: This paper proposes a new license plate image skew correction algorithm, which is based on the lowest pixels of a set of characters of the license plate. The skew angle is evaluated by applying moment calculation, and the method to get characters in license plate image is described in detail. It shows that the proposed algorithm is not only effective but also accurate.

Abstract: Analyzing the crop growth status through leaf disease image is one of the hottest issues in agriculture and forestry fields currently. But the size of image gathered by digital camera is too large, the focus of this research is to zooming-out image at the condition of ensuring the main information which carried by the image to distort lower. Based on the further study of visual attention model proposed by Itti and Ma YF. This paper establishes visual attention and visual saliency map of rice blast and brown spot disease image, whose size is 4272*2878 pixels. Finally, determines the reduction scale of the corresponding effective target collection and provide a new way to reduce the plant leaf images.

Abstract: The paper proposed a method on marble texture image segmentation based on Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM). At first, compute the Contrast matrix on basis of GLCM. Then choose the maximum of the matrix as the threshold to segment the object. At last extract the object contour with curve fitting method. Experiment results show that the method is accuracy.

Abstract: Aimed at the problem of poor accuracy and false positive rate in the early-warning and forecasting system for switchbox fault arc .low precision problem exited in fault location of transmission line, a new fault locating design is presented to improve the precision and speed of fault location. The short-circuit fault location in transmission line chooses DSP chip TMS320VC5507 as the central processing unit. This system can realize accurately in real-time acquisition and conversion of the fault traveling wave, and accomplish the fault location properly and removal immediately. The simulation results show that this system has the characteristics of quick detection and high precision.

Abstract: To develop a detective method of the crack within brake disc, digital image processing technology is applied, which based on the research on the characteristics of the crake within brake disc of the urban rail vehicles. The detective method could be divided into 3 procedures. Firstly the method is applied to preprocess the collected images, such as filtering and enhancement; then threshold segmentation and edge detection is combined to extract the crack; finally do post-processing on crack using the morphological knowledge, obtaining its geometric characteristic of the crack.

Abstract: The design ideas of intelligent control and the influence mechanism of process parameters on chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) are combined to develop the CMP intelligent monitoring system, which has the function of learning, inference and memory. The system can be used in many kinds of CMP facilities, the process parameter from the system can be used to control each unit of the CMP facility. And compared with the past way of processing by virtue of experience, the system has friendly operating interface and is easy to operate. The volume production of silicon wafers can be achieved by the total CMP intelligent monitoring. The efficiency of production can be improved highly on condition that the quality can be ensured.

Abstract: The ultra-wideband pulse source is one of the key factors which decide the time-domain reflectometer’s specification including the testing bandwidth’s accuracy and veracity. Design a good pulse source is the major premise to improve the time-domain reflectometer’s performance. This paper introduced a new style of simulation realization using ADS2009. This simulation focused on the analyses of the importance of the pulse source in the time-domain reflectometer, described pulse source’s pivotal component step recover the diode’s characteristic and accomplished the modeling analyses.

Abstract: According to a number of issues in the traditional temperature measurement, the multi-channel temperature measurement system based on virtual instrument is developed. In terms of measurement range and accuracy, Integrated Temperature Sensor TMP36, platinum resistance Pt100, and K-type thermocouple are selected to achieve multi-point temperature measurement, signal conditioning circuit is designed to match with every sensor. On this basis, combined with the technical parameters of each component, by means of the theory of uncertainty, analysis of the total uncertainty of system has been made. The calculation results show that the selection of each component for the temperature measurement system is reasonable, which can completely meet the measurement requirements.
