Abstract: The failure problem of brakes in the bogie of the working part on a tamper wagon is brought out in this paper. Braking process under its working condition is simulated and the comparison is done between the motion simulation and the working principle of brake system. FEM analysis by ABAQUS is done to analyze the front braking beam which is suffering bigger force. Stress distribution from the FEM analysis is discussed to explain the failure places happen in reality. In the end, an arbitrary crack is assumed and the fatigue life of beam is work out to give a prediction of failure.

Abstract: According to the main characteristics and functions of a high-speed punch, the system was divided into nine function subsystems systematically. Based on failure data, the failure positions, failure mode, failure causes and failure cause classification were detailed statistical analyzed. And the weakest links and potential shortcomings of the high-speed punch were pointed out. Some failure mechanisms of the high-speed punch, such as oil/gas leakage, crankshaft failure and so on, were analyzed especially. The improvement measures, which lay the foundation for the reliability growing of the high-speed punch, were drawn based on the failure and failure mechanisms analysis.

Abstract: A diagnostic method is proposed for the faults of the condenser in the ship steam power system by using the unsupervised learning neural network. First, we analyzed the reasons leading to the condenser faults according to the operating features of the condenser in the steam power system. Combined with the expert knowledge, we summed up the training sample model for the fault diagnosis of the condenser. Then we adopted two types of unsupervised learning neural network to diagnose the fault of the condenser. The diagnostic method was proved to be rapid and accurate by test. Finally, we analyzed and compared the performance and the optimizing approach of the unsupervised learning neural network for fault diagnosis. The diagnostic method is of guiding significance for the safe operation of the ship steam power system.

Abstract: A system combined with Local Operation Network Techniques for control and power management of air conditioning systems to enhance the integration of control information is proposed. Instead of using only one actuator in common control strategy for air conditioning control, we use now multiple actuators and variable speed operated pumps for the heat exchangers. The new system reduces electrical power consumption of the air conditioning pump. The control information exchange system provided by Local Operation Network ensures that only one of the actuators perform the control task within a specific scan time cycle, which is critical for robust fuzzy control.

Abstract: In this paper, making ship propulsion shaft as the research object, We do research on characteristics of water-lubricated stern tube bearings and operating performance of ship’s propulsion shaft. Using FEM to discuss the impact law of the geometric properties to water-lubricated rubber bearing stiffness. Combining multiple dynamic and FEM theory, we build propulsion shaft rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model and discuss the influence of stern bearings’ stiffness. Results show that: In a certain scope, water-lubrication stern tube bearing’s stiffness changes in linear rule to the length-diameter ratio, and nonlinear change to radius ratio. Bearings’ stiffness has little influence on reaction force, but has much influence on displacement acceleration.

Abstract: The artificial neural networks have received wide research efforts in fault diagnostics in recent years. This study proposes two types of feedforward neural networks (PNN and GRNN) for diagnosing the fault of the steam turbine. The eigenvectors of the vibration signals in steam turbine can be extracted by the time-domain analysis after the wavelet packet decomposition and reconstruction. Depending on these eigenvectors, we developed the fault diagnosis program with the PNN and GRNN approach for the steam turbine in Matlab, and diagnosed two common faults of steam turbine (mass unbalance and oil whirl). The diagnostic accuracy is up to 94.44%, and the diagnostic time is short. The results demonstrate that the diagnostic approach is able to identify the common faults of steam turbine quickly and efficiently.

Abstract: This article describes the design of a interface chip with serial port expansion circuit of computer in industrial applications. It is used to connect with 422 and RS232 interfaces. Circuits involved several major chip such as the interface of 422 and RS232 and UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter)16C550 Inside the computer. Paper describes the composition of the hardware circuit, theory and implementation and initialization programming of URAT interface chip. We use interface chip with the FIFO to the circuit, It improves the efficiency of the application software, And it solves the problem of insufficient of computer serial port.
