Abstract: Test samples are selected in different depths of Pile No.1370 at Anyang test zone in Middle Route of South-North water transfer project. Through a series of experiment, the physical properties, mineral components and properties of mechanics, permeability and swelling-shrinking of expansive rock are well studied. The results show that hydrophilic mineral component of the expansive rock in different depths differ remarkably. To the same kind of expansive rock samples with the same dry density, cohesion and friction angles are negative linear correlation with moisture content respectively and cohesion is more sensitive to moisture content. With the same initial moisture content, the logarithm of saturated permeability coefficients of expansive rock samples are linear correlation with their dry densities. The initial moisture content has a much larger effect on maximum swelling ratio than shrinkage, thus the process of swelling-shrinking is not reversible. The results can supply scientific references for the South-North water transfer project.

Abstract: Organic materials (cable particularly) aging has an adverse effect on the safety of productionsituations, and it is unscientific to replace organic materials blindly. A live evaluation system of organicmaterials aging was developed in present paper. This system consists of control and detection circuit(composed by ARM chip S3C6410 and force sensor, etc.) and servo drive motor. Compressivemodulus of organic materials was tested by the system with the help of mechanical system, so as toevaluate the cable aging.

Abstract: Based on the simulation of a marine ecosystem dynamical model in the Bohai Sea, pseudo observations are assimilated to study the initial field of chemical oxygen demand (COD) by using the adjoint method. The three-dimension Princeton Ocean Model (POM) is used to calculate the ambient physical velocities, and only four tidal components (M2, S2, K1 and O1) are taken into account. First a prescribed initial distribution of COD is given. Run the forward model and we can pickup some pseudo observations. Then a set of twin experiments were designed to validate the inversion capability of this ecosystem dynamical model. It was discovered that no matter which form the initial field was, the adjoint method could reduce the misfit between inversion results and observations significantly, indicating that this model was stable and reliable. Therefore, this model could be applied in real experiment to simulate the initial field of COD in the Bohai Sea in future.

Abstract: Chemical solution deposited ZnSe thin films can be proper buffer layer of Cu(In,Ga)Se based solar cells in substitution of CdS for environmental consideration, and complexing agents played vital role in chemical solution deposited ZnSe. Ammonia, hydrazine hydrate and triethanolamine have been applied as the complexing agents in chemical solution precursor to get the ZnSe films. Microstructure of the obtained ZnSe films were characterized and the growth property of films with variety complexing agents have been investigated to explorer the state of art in Cu(In,Ga)Se based thin film solar cell fabrication.

Abstract: In order to transform dynamic complex modulus into static relaxation modulus, an advanced Shear Rheometer is used to get complex modulus master curve of asphalt mixture. Dynamic modulus master curve is transformed into static modulus master curve basing on the relaxation time spectrum. Results show it is feasible that the dynamic modulus master curve can be transformed into relaxation modulus master curve in wide frequency domain basing on the relaxation time spectrum.

Abstract: Longitudinal magnetoelectric (ME) effect has been studied in a clamping structure of a magnetostrictive TbDyFe (Terfenol-D), a piezoelectric Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) ceramic ring. The ME coupling originates from the magnetic-mechanical-electric transform of the magnetostrictive effect in Terfenol-D and the piezoelectric effect in PZT by endpoint bonding, without adhesive layer. In such a clamping structure, Large induced voltage was measured without amplifier, Large longitudinal ME coefficient of 0.12V cm-1 Oe-1 was obtained at f =1 kHz, which is about 3 times larger than transverse ME coefficient of conventional layered Terfenol-D/PZT composites under the same measuring conditions. The ME coefficient reaches a maximum value at the dc bias magnetic field (Hdc) =280 Oe, which is lower than Hdc =350 Oe in conventional layered composites. The results show that large ME coupling can be achieved without adhesive layer, and longitudinal ME effect can be better than transverse ME effect.

Abstract: The article use the software of FLUENT to simulation nitrogen gas and natural gas section at different working conditions during the displacement course for commissioning of the pipeline. Then,use the MATLAB to analog data three-dimensional fit,the length of gas mixture segment can be calculate. According to the actual situation at the scene,give the formula a correction range. The formula of the nitrogen injection is based on the formula of the length of gas mixture segment. Drawn proven,consistent results with field data. The formula can meet the demand for pipeline safety commissioned. Research results to obtain reasonable assurance as to provide a theoretical basis for nitrogen injection.

Abstract: In order to study the dilatancy phenomenon of confined granular assembly under shearing in parallel interface, a parallel-panel shear model is constructed by discrete element method (DEM) in this paper. While the relative motion happens between the upper and lower panels, the panel and particles displacement are monitored. The expansion of upper plate and the change of particles force chain are shown. The results show that: the internal particle system keeps repeating the dilatancy and compression process, and the relationship between shear dilatancy phenomenon and force chain structure is close.

Abstract: A novel gas flow sensing probe based on silver-coated Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) is proposed. A square hole was fabricated in the middle of a capillary stainless steel pipe. A silver-coated FBG sensing probe was fixed up between the hole. The diameter of the silver-coated FBG sensing probe is only 0.125 mm, with the PVC materials deposited around the surface of the both ends with a diameter of 0.9 mm. Simulations on different packages of sensing probe were carried out via Finite Element Method (FSM). Results of the simulations reveal that the sensing probe of the capillary stainless steel pipe with a diameter of 3 mm and the square hole with a length of 12 mm can provide the best performance.
