Abstract: Started from analyzing the resource characteristic of Xian cultural ruins and great heritage sites classification, through the review on important sites protection and their functional evolution in main urban districts of Xian, summarized three kinds of relationships between urban development layout and great heritage sites of Xian, they are: the site surrounded or covered by built-up areas; the site located in the outlying regions of city; and the site located in the urban development and construction regions. Furthermore, analyzed the discrepancy of environmental requirements of different heritage site, put forward three kinds of spatial pattern models of site area and adjacent development region, then analyzed the interactive relationship between each other.

Abstract: Shenyang is one of provincial capital, along the railway, opening the commercial of early-modern Chinese, which is the ancient capital city that has experienced modernization. Shenyang early-modern city planning is completed in the process of centralization and colonial invasion and local autonomy, the diverse of city administrative system is to promote the different regions feature of Shenyang early-modern city. Based on the subject of administration perspective, takes as the object of study by the theory and implementation of Shenyang early-modern city planning, makes the analysis and location to the history of Shenyang early-modern city planning, to provide historical and theoretical basis for the construction of modern urbanization and regional system.

Abstract: With trational planning concept, the overall architectural design and landscape design thinking, according to the current education development trends and the students' own characteristics, to create a unique place for students to learn and communicate, to reach the perfect fit for building meaning and the spirit of place. The implementation of design must meet the needs of the Dongxiang one’s a short and long term development of quality education; it is also an important area of Dongxiang County's cultural heritage and showing.

Abstract: Ecological problem has become an increasing concern with the worsening of energy crisis and environment pollution. Given that the construction of low-carbon city mainly focuses on the urban area with little attention to the rural in the urban-rural integration, this paper is aimed at the importance of low-carbon village construction and provides some theoretical reference for the practical planning and design through exploring the relevant countermeasures.

Abstract: The planning and construction of urban transit often pay more attention to the needs of urban traffic, and less to the needs of urban public space, which lead to the contradiction between rail transit and urban public space. The paper develops a theoretical framework for the integrated design of rail transit and public space, based on the analysis of contradictions and problems between them. First, an integrated planning method is put forward in a macro level through analyzing the interaction between rail transit network and public space system. Second, the influence factors are identified by analyzing the relationship between urban transit nodes and public spaces in all types and levels. Thus the integrated solution and pattern of rail transit nodes and public space are developed in a micro level. Third, the conceptual pattern has been applied in Wuhan city as a study case, putting forward the strategies of the integrated design of urban rail and public space of Wuhan city.

Abstract: China has a long history; a large number of the existing traditional village has an important value. This thesis proposes appropriate protection measures and development strategy through the analysis of existing problems in the traditional village development and protection in a number of ways.

Abstract: In recent years, many cities have been severely affected by heavy rains, leaving the cities in bad condition. The cause of waterlogging in Wuhan is analyzed, which includes the influence of the extreme weather, the lagging drainage standard, the imperfection of pipe network system, the high hardening rate of the ground, the excessive construction sites and the reducing of the lakes. Then the countermeasures are proposed, which are improving the drainage standard, controlling and utilizing the rainwater source, upgrading the city drainage system, changing the hard ground trend of the city, preserving the natural water and establishing GIS database of the city drainage.

Abstract: With urbanization accelerating in China, small-town vernacular landscape has faced severe challenges. Basing on analysis of current situations of protection against small-town vernacular landscape, we deeply analyzed four reasons for them, and then discussed protectional ideas of small-town vernacular landscape from the angle of planning formulation ,which are respectively, analyzing ideas of overall protection from the regional angle, defining the idea of "duality", carrying out the idea of order that protection is superior to heritage and development, and bringing in the concept of "anti-planning". Finally, we put forward constructed strategies from the angle of urban design, and basing on integrated classified research of small-town vernacular landscape, we put forward the constructed strategies from the trinity level of macro-medium-micro.

Abstract: With the introduction of the concept and practice of TOD in Urban planning and design, the concept and practice of urban street design also has a new development. This paper focuses on the theory, principle and technique of urban street design based on the TOD mode, including the design of street networks, the introduction of transport calming and the design of urban street form.
