Abstract: The historical and cultural heritage of contemporary city is facing unprecedented challenges in the fast urbanization process. Against the existing problems of the cultural heritage protection in large-scale construction, such as dispersion, unilateralism, destructiveness along with the loss of city characteristic, the paper analyzes the significance and value of cultural heritage for whole city. It puts forward to establish the integrated conservation view of history city of historical and cultural heritage, then discusses the strategies of integrated conservation of historical and cultural heritage for greater Xian Region example.

Abstract: As a prominent part in the cultural image of Xian city, the City Moat needs a guiding ideology consisting of humanity, landscape, ecology, and harmony in the citys programming, construction, and development, then to complete the mission of protecting the ancient sites in order to improve the ecological environment and inherit the cultural heritage. This article, aiming at how to make advantage of humanistic administration theory more effectively, presents an idea that the protection and development of the City Moat should follow a strategy of sustainable development, which is, on the basis of ensuring the original humanistic system, the features should be fully utilized, well developed and scientifically managed in terms of culture, business and recreation. Also, it argues the possibility of a gradual transformation of the present water quality and river bank, to restore the original ecological morphology, improve the biodiversity, and to perfect the self-renewal capacity of the system.

Abstract: The main direction of the development of environmental design is to create a comfortable and pleasant ecological system to protect the integrity of the urban culture, environmental art and ecological coordination, integration of the spiritual content of history and urban culture. Environmental Design in the new century, the development of urbanization, how to make more rational development of civilization and the rich connotation of urban environmental art, and to build a more rational urban culture, these become the artist must consider. Today's designers are exploring a new understanding of the environmental art from the point of view of the combination of ecological and cultural connotation and characteristics, more rational thinking and evaluation to understand the reality of the urban environment.

Abstract: Speeding up the urbanization process has important realistic and far-reaching historical significance for building a well-off society and realizing socialist modernization in China. This paper discusses which urbanization path China should take, and advances the pluralistic urbanization path with Chinese characteristics: the big cities should be the regional center and develop preferentially; at the same time, we should actively develop the small and medium-sized cities; moreover the small towns should be developed reasonably and selectively. The large, medium, small cities and small towns will develop harmoniously with China's national conditions.

Abstract: With regard to the problems of waterscape design in urban open spaces, this study is conducted from the citizens’ perspectives, questionnaire survey method and action observation method have been adopted to investigate people of different genders, ages, education levels, and occupations to look into their preference for three kinds of waterscape designs such as community parks, commercial squares, and residential areas in urban open spaces. The results indicate that people’s preference for the aesthetic features, forms, and movement patterns of water, and the relationship between humankind and water have direct relation with people’s overall characteristics and visit purposes. The experience design and culture thematic designs of water serve to broaden the appeal of waterscape designs in urban open spaces and to strengthen people’s senses of belonging.

Abstract: Road Landscape design does not exist independently in urban construction but intergrates into the urban cultures by design. This article discusses based on Huangshi Mining and Metallurgy culture the urban road design from the aspects of color, pavement, blind sidewalk, plants, and public environment facilities. Also it proposes the way of design that combines cultural landscape and natural landscape according to the city geographical features, therefore makes the urban road landscape design to be more cultural and representative.

Abstract: On the basis of analyzing the location and scope of the project area and its natural environmental conditions, this design responded to the functional theme, satisfied park functions of sightseeing, visiting, leisure, entertainment, keeping fit, disaster prevention, production and marketing, formed seven design ideas: creating flower plants landscape mainly, promoting the "flower culture", building natural harmony with flowers, birds, insects and fishes, the destination of flowers, the originality of "flower" structural shape, people-centered, the creating concept of idioms on "flowers", and finally finished the design of landscape architecture of the park by the layout method of modern landscape architecture according to the thematic orientation of flower theme park, in order to inherit flower culture by the showing and creative concept of flower plants landscape, to call on the concern and pursue for the future of human residential environment, and to quest the development direction of landscape architecture and human residential environment.

Abstract: This article from the perspective of environmental behavior, focus on settlements strategies of pavement design, through the analysis of the functional characteristics, environmental behavior theory and the physical, psychological and behavioral characteristics of the dwellers, has reached the conclusion of settlements based on the environmental behavior of pavement design strategies to support and guide the behavior of residents in their daily activities and form a harmonious living settlements space.

On the Strategies of Optimizing the Landscape of the Urban Green Space: Based on Ecological Security
Abstract: The design and planning of the urban green landscape is manipulated to attain the integrity and sustainability of the process of landscaping the urban green space. Based on the analysis of the problems in landscaping the urban green space, this study attempts to explore the strategies of optimizing the landscape of the urban green space so as to improve the ecological functions of the eco-city, better the layout of the urban planning, and increase the green quantity. Appropriate regulation and protection measures have been adopted to prevent the negative effects in planning the urban green space, guarantee the safety of the urban ecosystem, and maintain the sustainable development of the vegetation sources of the gardens and green lands.

Abstract: This article analyzed the abandoned quarrys negative impact on urban landscape and the development of the abandoned quarrys landscape transformation in Western countries and China. Then it constructs the theory, which combine the ecology domain and cultural landscape domain, to work with the damaged ecosystem and to satisfy the new functional requirement of abandoned quarry. This article would take Dakengding, one of abandoned quarries located in Zhongshan city, China, as an example and create quarry landscape regeneration strategy, which involves quarry ecological restoration and human landscape construction. Fund guarantee method for Abandoned quarries landscape transformation in urban area and post-custody are also discussed in this paper.
