Abstract: Manifold learning has made many successful applications in the fields of dimensionality reduction, pattern recognition, and data visualization. In this paper we proposed hierarchical macro manifold (HMM) for the purpose of supervised classification. We construct hierarchical macro manifold based on the given training sets. The generalized regression neural network is employed to solve the out-of-sample problem. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposed approach.

Abstract: To obtain the characteristics of rock is one of the most significant methods in reconnaissance in order to make the project camouflaged. This paper, which is based on the former study on digital image processing technique, is mainly about the way to acquire the general and detailed information, such as geographic distribution and specific texture of rock. The technique put forward in the paper is fundamental to carry out reconnaissance, design the project and evaluate the camouflage effect.

Abstract: The well-known methods based on gradient dependent regularizers such as total variation (TV) model often suffer the staircase effect and the loss of edge details. In order to overcome such drawbacks, an adaptive variational approach is proposed. First, we introduced a Gaussian smoothed image as the variable of the Lp norm, and then we employed the difference curvature instead of gradient as new edge indicator, which can effectively distinguish between ramps and edges. In the proposed model, the regularization term and fidelity term are both adaptive. At object edges, the regularization term is approximate to the TV norm in order to preserving the edges; in flat and ramp regions, the regularization term is approximate to the L2 norm in order to avoid the staircase effect. Meanwhile, we added a spatially varying fidelity term that locally controls the extent of denoising over image regions according to their content. Local variance measures of the oscillatory part of the signal are to compute the adaptive fidelity term. Comparative results on both natural and medical images demonstrate that the new method can avoid the staircase effect and better preserve fine details than the other variational models.

Abstract: Automatic meter reading (AMR) system is known as the communication-based system to read meters. It is an application of smart home with high pertinence and practicability, which can bring on benefits to utility companies (living resources suppliers). The key to designing and implementing an AMR system is communication. Many communication modes have been proposed for AMR system. This paper proposes a ZigBee and Image Picking based Automatic Meter Reading System (ZIP-AMRS) and introduces its implementation in details. As its name suggests, the system uses ZigBee network and image picking technology to collect meter data. Tree routing protocol and end-to-end acknowledge mechanism are adopted to ensure reliable transmission. We installed and verified ZIP-AMRS in an office building, and got the real-time meter picture.

Abstract: Taken the problem of data communication in collaborative virtual maintenance training system into consideration, the technology of JMS was used to transmission of information, which solved the asynchronous communication between each client in system, and ensured the timeliness, accuracy and high efficiency during the whole process. Forward In recent years, using virtual reality technology for maintenance training is one of the popular research fields, and many virtual maintenance training systems have been developed [1,2]. However, none of these systems could be used to collaborative training for multi-users. One difficulty is that how to share the information between clients. In other words, the way of communication is considerable to enable to share information as reasonably, timely and efficiently as possible and do not affect the training. For this reason, JMS (Java Message Service) technology is presented to solve the communication problem in collaborative training in the article.

Abstract: The problem of spatial temporal spectrum technique for coherent signal identification is studied in this paper. Spatial smoothing scheme is firstly introduced to spatial temporal signal processing to eliminate the singularity of array output covariance matrix, and then spatial temporal spectral analysis technique is used to realize the joint DOA and frequency estimation. Simulation results show the proposed method can indentify all the signal sources correctly even when they are full coherent.

Abstract: As magnetic field varies greatly under complex environment, it is difficult for GMI sensor to adapt. On basis of analyzing the curve of GMI effect, curve fitting methods with polynomial, sum of sine functions and the BP neural network are studied to find the best one to fit the sensors’ outputs. When the best one is acted as model of the GMI sensor for measurement, the measurement precision can be effectively improved and the sensors' range can be greatly expanded.
