Abstract: To investigate the influence of shear span ratio for the shear behavior of reinforced concrete beam with HRBF500 high strength rebars as stirrups, an experiment was carried out, which included 8 simply supported beams with HRBF500 rebars as stirrups. Under concentrated loads, the crack, deflection, strain of rebars, bearing capacity and failure mode are observed under different shear span ratios. Some comparisons are made between test results and calculated outcome. It shows that the shear span ratio has very important influent on the shear behavior of reinforced concrete beam with HRBF500 high strength bars as stirrups. Formula in code for design of concrete structures can be used to calculate its shear capacity with enough safety.

Abstract: The hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge of railway has been applied in the design of the Yongjiang Bridge, it is first used in our country as yet. The mechanical performance of the steel-concrete joint as the key position of the hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge determine its safety and durability. Based on the background of a bridge in Zhejiang Province , the spatial finite-element model of model and actual bridge is developed to study the mechanical performance and verify the feasibility of design method of the model. As it turned out, the model can better reflect the stress of actual bridge. The trend of the stress of the key plates of its is basically identical. The steel-concrete joint can perfectly accomplish the transmission of the stress function. Bearing plate plays a vital role in the stress transfer, the function of the PBL shear connector near the bearing plate is obvious.

Abstract: Finite element analysis of LNG prestressed storage tank which was under various load conditions was carried out. The calculation results show that the low temperature load and prestress force are the control load which affect the storage tank stress. Further, some recommendations on the configuration of the prestressed reinforcement have been made so as to provide the basis for the design optimization of prestressed LNG tanks.

Abstract: This paper is to study the wind load of rotary reticulated shell by experimental methods. The article conduct rigid model experiments to reticulated shell, measure wind pressure distribution on shell’top. Similar conditions is to meet production model:geometric similarity, flow similarity , Reynolds number equal. These results can be used as a reference for the new version of the wind load criteria.

Abstract: The fire design of structural members depends greatly on temperature distributions. This paper focuses on the temperature distributions of protected cellular beams subject to fire. Modeling in ABAQUS indicates that the fire protection makes a big difference to the temperature distributions of cellular beams. A continuous drop in temperature in the upper region of the web occurs due to heat transfer from the web to the top flange, and consequently to the ambient. Heat transfer between the web and the bottom flange also takes place resulting in non-uniform temperature distributions in the lower region of the web. Comparison with predictions from the European codes shows a good correlation between each other, but with some discrepancies.

Abstract: The fire design of structural members depends on its temperature distributions. This paper investigates the temperature distributions of protected cellular composite beams heated three sides. Modeling in ABAQUS indicates that the fire protection and the concrete slab make a big difference to the temperature distributions of steel beams. Temperature gradient exists across the web region of the steel beam. Comparison with predictions from European design codes shows a good correlation between each other, but some discrepancies exist for the top flange.

Abstract: Studies on size effect of plastic hinge of RC members are still rare at the present stage. This paper explores the development and failure characteristics of plastic hinge of pure bending section and analysis relevant mechanical parameters of size effect. Measured tests data show that plastic hinge equivalent length is close to the depth of beam which has no obvious size effect. However, plastic rotation capacity of plastic hinge has a significant size effect. Plastic rotation capacity decreases with section size increases if evaluate it based on ultimate load state, and increases with section size increases if evaluate it based on measured max load state.

Abstract: In this paper, through the experimental study about the stress of soil around the pile when the bearing push-extend reamed have different diameters, observed the destruction of soil around the pile. Further determined the destruction of soil form, verify the theoretical analysis results of the influence for bearing capacity of the push-extend Multi-under-reamed pile in the different diameter of the bearing push-extend reamed. It provided a reliable basis of comprehensive considering the factors influencing of the Push-extend Multi-under-reamed Pile in the actual design.

Abstract: Push-out tests were conducted to study the performance of shear studs in composite beams with profiled sheeting. All stud specimens were through-deck welded on steel beams. Three variables, i.e. the presence of profiled sheeting, the direction of the steel sheeting and the loading patterns were studied. Comparison between test results and predictions according to design specifications were also proposed. The research shows that, direction of the profiled steel sheeting has little influence on the ultimate load with shank shearing failure; shear failure of concrete rib decreases the shear strength; and the shear resistance of a parallel concrete rib is about twice of a transverse one.

Abstract: Reference to the proposed research results and abroad specification, T-beam connection is widely used in engineering steel connection. Comparing with the finite element result, it has been verified that this method can effectively calculate the moment-rotation curve. So it can be a beneficial supplement to the steel structure design code of the T-beam connections.
