Abstract: Corrosion and seepage are main causes of structural failures in concrete. Igneous glass powder is a recently developed material and was applied to enhance the performance of concrete, in terms of anti-seepage, anti-corrosion, durability and environment protection. The physical characteristics of igneous glass powder were summarized on the basis of experimental results. The advantages of concrete enhanced by igneous glass powder were described, which reveals that igneous glass powder is truly a top reinforce material for high performance concrete.

Abstract: A series of novel thiazolium halogenide ionic liquids were synthesized by using 4-methylthiazole or 4-methyl-5-thiazoleethanol and halohydrocarbons as materials. The compounds were characterized and analyzed by elemental analysis, 1H NMR and DSC.The solubilities of the ionic liquids in organic dissolvents were observed, meanwhile the conductivities and melting points were measured. The results show that these ionic liquids have high conductivity in water and have good solubility in traditional polar solvents, such as H2O, ethanol and acetonitrile. And the thiazolium halogenide are room temperature ionic liquids, due to their low melting points.

Abstract: Chinese and foreign scholars agree that felt is an important invention of ancient central asian nomads. The art of handcrafted felt is a direct product of their pastoral lifestyles. The long-established and traditional Uyghur handicraft of felt making has over the ages developed unique ethnic distinctives and an inheritable nature. It has value in the historical, cultural, scientific, aesthetic, and economic realms, and thus qualifies as priceless intangible cultural heritage. Felt products with decorative designs are the most precious of the felt products. This paper discusses in detail the process of crafting traditional Uyghur decorative felt, and sets forth suggestions for its preservation.

Abstract: Some researchers use the drawing about primitive hunting with stone balls in order to explain the origin of textile technology in ancient China. However, the description in the drawing is inconsistent with the historical facts and lead to a wrong conclusion drawn by the researchers. We aimed to explain objectively the origin of the textile technology in ancient China. We have had some queries for the authenticity of the drawing after we made some archaeological and folk-custom investigations on the application of primitive stone balls. It is concluded that the origin of spinning in ancient China dated back to the upper Palaeolithic period and was an indispensable link of human evolution from ape man to human, but the origin of weaving in ancient China dated back to the Neolithic period. Only when the primitive farming became the main production department and the explosion of population required the substitute of clothes made of hide, did the spinning, weaving and textile design merged together and finally resulted in the formation of the textile technology system.

Abstract: This paper studies the relationship between the development of textile industry and the macroeconomic growth. By establishing the VAR model and co-integration test, the paper systematically describes the dependency between them. It also applies the method of impulse response function and variance decomposition to analyze their dynamic correlations. The result shows that there exists a long-term relationship between the textile industry and macroeconomic in China. But the relevance between them has something alike as well as something different through the analysis of impulse response function and variance decomposition. The good functioning of macroeconomic creats favourable conditions for the development of the textile industry. However, the influence on the textile industry of macroeconomic has a time-lag effect.

Abstract: In this study, three-dimensional body measurement instrument was used to measure 425 female bodies aged from 18 to 26 years old. Imageware software was used to obtain the point cloud images of female body and measure their key parts’ altitudes (waist, abdomen, buttocks, thigh, knee). Then, SPSS16.0 was used to analyze the key parts’ altitudes and height to find the regression equations of them. Finally, the altitude rules of young female lower body were tested to ensure its correctness. In this paper, the result can provide basis of altitude confirmation rules for the study on automatically pattern design system of women skirts.

Abstract: To improve the interfacial bonding properties of polypropylene fiber-cement matrix, a new type of nano-silica modified polypropylene fibers was prepared by direct blend-spinning. As a comparison, Another polypropylene fiber was modified by surface chemical deposition of the silica particles by sol-gel method. The distribution of nano-particles on the fiber surface was observed with scanning electron microscope (SEM). This paper focuses on the effects on crack-resistance properties of fiber reinforced mortar(FRM) and present the mechanism of improving fiber-matrix interfacial properties, especially. The results demonstrate that the modified fiber with well-distributed of nano-silica has excellent mechanical properties, and crack resistance. The interfacial property of fiber-matrix is improved because of silica’s hydration activity. As the use of two kinds of modified fiber, the cementitious materials crack area is significantly decreased. In conclusion, the modified fiber by chemical deposition method which has slightly better overall performance.

Abstract: A triple liquor system (Poly(Butylenes Succinate-co-bytylene Terephthalate) (PBST)/ iso-propylalcohol (IPP)/ chloroform (CF)) was electrospun to fabricate porous non-woven mats directly. The morphology of the porous mats were observed by SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope). The applied voltage is investigated as a parameter may affect the morphology of the porous structure.

Abstract: A GF/PP commingled yarns knitted fabric was processed into laminates composites by hot press and a processing parameters investigation had been carried out to determine the most suitable values of processing pressure, holding time and cooling condition. The consolidation quality was characterized by means of void content and tensile strengths. It was found that the void content decreases while the tensile strength increases with the increasing of holding time, and under the gradually cooling rate with pressure in hot press. Optimal processing conditions for manufacturing of commingled GF/PP biaxial knitted fabric composites were suggested.
