Abstract: A color fixing agent of collagen (PCDMC) was prepared by free radical polymerization water solution polymerization of methacryloyloxy ethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DMC) with collagen hydrolysate at the protection of nitrogen and using t-butylhydroperoxide (t-BHP) and sodium metabisulfite (SMBS) as redox initiator pair. The solid content and viscosity of color fixing agent was 37% and 300-600mPa•s, respectively. Then it was used in leather color fixing process and compared with commercial products DT-A622 and formic acid. The leather handle, dye uptake rate, K/S value and resistance to dry and wet fastness were as index to evaluate their color fixing effect. The results showed that PCDMC took on excellent softness and color, dye uptake rate was 97%, K/S value was 23, dry rub fastness and wet rub fastness were improved 0.5-1 grades.

Abstract: The Polygonum Cuspidatum Sieb.et Zucc natural pigments were extracted and compounded with PBS in this paper. The performances of the pigment and the dyed films were studied. The results showed that: both the natural pigment and the dyed films had good thermal stability. Under the acidic conditions, the absorbance of the pigment changed little. The effect to the dyed films by pH indicated the pigments dissolved out of PBS with the degradation. The antibacterial evaluation demonstrated that the natural pigments had good inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The antibacterial properties of the films were not obvious, but it also revealed that the pigment and PBS had the good compatibility.

Abstract: Collagen was immobilized onto moderate acid activated polyamide fibers with glutaraldehyde (cross-linking agent) aimed to improve its sanitary property. The immobilization of collagen onto polyamide fiber was estimated by dyeing collagen modified fabrics with a cationic brilliant red 5GN, and determining the dyeing properties of the dyed fabrics. The modification also confirmed technically by Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Atomic force microscope (AFM). Cationic dyeing showed brighter and more even dyeing properties of the collagen modified fabrics compared to the non-treated fabrics. From DSC results, it was found that the thermo-stability of the non-treated and collagen modified fabrics changed a lot. The morphology of different samples from SEM and AFM also approved the immobilization of collagen. The moisture absorption and hydrophilicity of the fabrics after collagen immobilization improved compared to the non-treated fabrics.

Abstract: A novel unsymmetrical diarylethene derivative 1-[2-methyl-5-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-3-thienyl]-2-[2-methyl-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-thienyl]hexafluorocyclopentene (1a) was designed and successfully synthesized. The properties of the compound, including photochromic and electrochemical properties of the diarylethene were also investigated systematically. The results showed that this compound exhibited reversible photochromism, reversible cyclization and cycloreversion reactions upon alternating irradiation with UV and visible light both in solution and in PMMA film, and its absorption maxima were observed at 606 nm in methanol and at 613 nm in PMMA amorphous film, respectively, upon irradiation with 297 nm UV light. Besides, the electrochemcial switching property can be potential use for electrochemistry data storage.

Abstract: A new type photochromic diarylethene, 1-(2-methyl-3-benzothiophenyl)-2- [2-methyl-5-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-3-thienyl]perfluorocyclopentene (1o) was synthesized, and its photochromic and fluorescent properties were investigated. This compound exhibited reversible photochromism, changing from colorless to pink after irradiation with UV light both in solution and in PMMA amorphous film. In addition, the fluorescence spectra of diarylethene 1o evidently depended on the concentration in hexane.

Abstract: A novel unsymmetrical diarylethene derivative 1-[2,4-dimethyl- isoxazol-3-yl]-2-[2-methyl-5-(2-(1,3-dioxolane))-3-thienyl] perfluorocyclopentene (1a) was synthesized successfully. The properties of the compound, including photochromic and fluorescence properties of the diarylethene were investigated systematically. The color of diarylethene 1a changed from colorless to pink upon irradiation with 297 nm UV light, in which absorption maxima were observed at 496 nm in hexane and at 510 nm in PMMA film, respectively. In hexane solution, compound 1 showed good fluorescence switching characters with 305 nm light excited.

Abstract: A new unsymmetrical photochromic diarylethene 1-(2,5-dimethylthiophene-3-yl)-2-[(2-n-butyl-5-formyl)thiophene-3-yl]perfluoroncyclopentene(1a), was synthesized and its optoelectronic properties, such as photochromism in solution as well as in poly-methylmethacrylate (PMMA) amorphous films, and the fluorescence spectra of diarylethene 1a was investigated. The photochromic reaction kinetics indicated that the cyclization process of 1a belongs to the zeroth order reaction and the cycloreversion process belongs to the first order reaction. Using diarylethene 1/PMMA film as recording medium and a linearly polarized 633 nm laser diode for recording and readout, polarization multiplexed image recording can be carried out in this film, which illustrated that the diarylethene can be potentially used as holographic optical recording medium.

Abstract: Lignin-based dithiocarbamate (LBDTC) was prepared from lignin, formaldehyde, triethylene tetramine (TETA), carbon bisulfide and sodium hydroxide. The structure of LBDTC was characterized by FTIR and elementary analysis, and its removal performances towards Pb2+ were investigated. The results show that LBDTC is more effective than sodium triethylenetetramine-multidithiocarbamate (TETAMDT) prepared according to the same molar ratios of TETA, CS2, and NaOH and xanthation conditions used during LBDTC synthesis and much more effective than lignin for removing Pb2+. It was observed that LBDTC could effectively reduce 100 mg/L Pb2+ in wastewater to 0.05 mg/L, which is far lower than the discharge limit of 1.0 mg/L. It was also observed that LBDTC has a wide suitable pH range of 4.9-12.5. This can overcome the drawback of narrow pH scopes observed for traditional precipitation methods.

Abstract: CO2 injection is a very promising and effective technology for promoting oil recovery ratio. But the lack of high pureness CO2 resources restricts the popularization and application of this technology. It is an effective approach to resolve such problem by capturing and purifying CO2 from electric plant and boiler emission gases. Shengli oil field of SINOPEC has researched on high efficiency absorbent, key equipment, capture and purification technique, and forms a technology of CO2 Capture and Purification. This technology not only helps to obtain the CO2 needed by EOR, increasing the economic income, but also to store the CO2 into the abandoned oil wells, preventing the CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere.

Abstract: The Xiaanxi artificial aggregate production system in Three Gorges Project is the largest one in the world by now. In the process of quarrying, the problems of serious water & soil erosion and primary ecological system injury causing by excavation and dreg have not been solved. This paper analyses the site condition of the region, and basing on it, discusses the plan of water conservation and afforestation on quarry slope, stockyard platform and tailing-dump slope. Synthetically applying different methods and technologies, it would be able to achieve the efforts of conserving water and soil as well as good ecological landscape.
