Abstract: This is the first time in the steel industry that the steel mill applies the electro slag remelting to high-tungsten HSS roll collars for the second remelting after centrifugal casting. Such successful innovation in high-tungsten HSS roll collars dramatically enhances the life span of HSS roll collars more than that of ordinary alloy steel cast roll collars. Besides, this technology breakthrough improves the anti-friction bearing of collars and it leads to more efficient and economical advantages. The experiments evidences are presented in this study.

Abstract: This paper constructed a system of indexes for evaluating Liuli expressway landscape, including 3 aspects of road-region environment landscape resources, aesthetics and ecological, totally 24 evaluation indexes. The rough set theory was introduced and first applied to evaluate expressway landscape quality. For calculating every index weight of Liuli expressway landscape quality accurately, index reduction principle was used to clear the redundancy indexes, and finally remained 15 indexes. Then, the evaluation index weight was determined by the method of attribute importance assignment weight. Finally, landscape quality indexes of the three landscape areas in Liuli expressway were obtained by calculating and analyzing.

Abstract: Traditional chinese medicine epimedium was introduced into the poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) / hydroxyapatite (PLGA/HA) scaffolds by using a supercritical CO2 technique. The morphology, porosity, mechanical strength, degradation behaviors, and drug release kenitics of scaffolds with 1wt%, 5 wt% and 10 wt% of epimedium were determined. The results revealed that the micropores and macropores in the scaffolds were interconnect, and the addition of drug had little effect on the morphology of scaffolds. When the drug was at 10 wt% , the porosity and mechnical strength of scaffolds were deteriorated. The dosage of epimedium in scaffolds exhibits an signficant influence on weight loss of scaffolds and release kenitics of epimedium. Within the limits of our study, 5 wt% epimedium loaded scaffolds might be suitable for bone tissue egineering application.

Abstract: To improve the dimension accuracy, an experimental investigation has been conducted to determine the optimum build parameters of integral stereolithography (SL) system with Taguchi method. The build parameters include shrinkage compensation factor of resin (factor A), liquid surface waiting time (factor B), exposure time (factor C) and light intensity (factor D). It was found that factor A, factor B, factor D and the interaction between factor A and factor D significantly affect the dimension accuracy, and the interaction between factor A and factor B, the interaction between factor A and factor D also have effects on the dimension accuracy. The optimum factors combination of the integral SL system is concluded by using ANOVA. With the optimum factors combination, an error of ±10μm has been reached using the integral SL system. Confirmation experiment results indicated that the dimension accuracy has been significantly improved with the optimum factors combination

Abstract: Sludge were dried in an electrohydrodynamic (EHD) drying equipment at 22±1 °C, in an hot air at 60 °C, and in ambient air at 22±1 °C, The energy consumption and the drying rate of EHD and hot air drying were measured. At the same time, the drying rate and moisture content data were performed using linear and non-linear regression analysis to estimate a suitable model. The results indicated that the drying rate of sludge significantly improved using the EHD drying system. Compared with hot air drying, EHD drying was more efficient in terms of energy saving.

Abstract: Gelcasing has been recognized as a very high-potential method in fabricating complex-shaped ceramic products. In this contribution, the gelcasting process was applied to manufacture green body of dental zirconia-toughened alumina (ZTA) ceramic base crowns. As one of a series studies, this study was conducted to investigate the influence of initiator and catalyst concentrations on idle and processing time of gelcasting system and the strength of green and sintered body of ZTA ceramic base crowns. Six different groups were divided basing on different proportion of initiator (1-6 vol.%), and with different proportion of catalyst correspondingly. The results showed that when the initiator was 4vol.% and the catalyst was 8vol.% at room temperature, the time of solidified reaction and bisque properties were optimum and it also met the requirement of practical running time for shaping dental all-ceramic crown in lab.

Abstract: Semisolid A356 alloy was prepared by low superheat pouring. The effects of La as a kind of refinement on the size and morphology of the primary phase in semisolid A356 alloy were researched. The results indicated that semisolid A356 alloy contained certain La addition with particle-like and rosette-like primary phase could be prepared by low superheat pouring. The size and morphology of primary phase in A356 alloy are markedly improved by the suitable addition of La. The refining mechanism of La on the size and morphology of the primary phase in semisolid A356 alloy were concerned with the eutectic reaction induced by La in the alloy.

Abstract: According to the features of fault diagnosis expert system, knowledge was expressed by applying production rule and certainty factor. What lead to incorrect knowledge was analyzed, and a certainty correction algorithm and rule discovery algorithm was proposed based on case studies. A learning machine of mechanic fault diagnosis expert system was designed and implemented by using C++ BUILDER 6.0. That provides technical support for noise control in substation.
