Abstract: The design of exact single pattern string matching algorithm with high performance is the basis of all string matching problems. To overcome the defects of low efficiency of pattern matching, this paper improves one of the fastest exact single pattern matching algorithms known on English text, which is SBNDM2。The simplest form of the BNDM core loop is obtained, in which there are only 5 instructions per-character read by amending the relationship between position in the pattern and bit in the bit mask. And a cross-border protection method is added to the algorithm in order to reduce the cost of cross-border inspection. Two algorithms named S2BNDM and S2BNDM′ are presented. The experimental results indicate that both S2BNDM and S2BNDM′are faster than SBNDM2 in any case.

Abstract: In this paper, a fast algorithm for vector autoregressivemoving-average (ARMA) parameter estimation under noise environments is proposed. Based on an equivalent AR parameter model technique and a Yule-Walker equation technique, solving the parameter estimation problem of the VARMA model is well converted into solving linear equations. Therefore, the proposed algorithm has a lower computational complexity and a faster speed than conventional algorithms. Application examples with application to Lorenz systems confirm that the proposed algorithm can obtain a good solution.

Abstract: To discuss the modification rule of the toroidal worm and optimize its parameters, a contrast experiment is carried out on two toroidal worms which are modified under different modification rules in order to demonstrate the validity of curvature modification theory of toroidal worm. A pair of hindley worms is selected in the experiment. One is modified by the traditional symmetric rule; another is modified by the optimized symmetric rule based on the curvature modification theory. This article introduces the selection of worm’s parameters, the meas of modification and the manufacture of worm pairs. The experiment proves that the performance of the worm which is modified based on the curvature modification theory is much better than the worm modified by traditional symmetric rule. As the essential theory of the parameters optimization, the curvature modification theory is scientific and correct. It is the basis of the optimization and standardization of toroidal worm’s parameters.

Abstract: A real-time experimental method for room cooling load calculations is developed in this paper. Experimental based study was also performed during summer months of 2010 in a reference office room in Shanghai. Hourly indoor temperature curves were drawn and the cooling capacity of air conditioner was measured. One energy simulation tool, Designer’s Simulation Toolkits (DeST), was used to calculate the basic dynamic temperature and hourly cooling loads. Comparison of results from real-time experimental method and DeST simulation shows that the proposal model can be used in cooling load calculations, with an average 2.5% relative error to DeST results.

Abstract: In basic ant colony algorithm optimization process, for the ant colony algorithm in speeding up the convergence rate and avoiding stagnation, ant colony algorithm based on hybrid behavior is studied in this paper. By the ant behavior definition and implementation of the algorithm, the instance confirms that the ant colony algorithm based on hybrid behavior has a more stable solving performance than the basic ant colony algorithm.

Abstract: A new transient directional unit for extra high voltage(EHV) power transmission lines is proposed, which identifies fault direction by means of comparing the time-domain transient energy of the forward traveling-wave with that of the backward one in the very short period of time after fault occurs. The unit algorithm is designed with the technology of adaptive median filtering, which is first employed to process the forward and backward traveling-waves, and then calculates the time-domain transient energy ratio of the forward traveling-wave to the back one, by which the fault direction is discriminated. Numerous ATP-EMTP simulation tests show that this proposed directional unit not only operates reliably, sensitively and ultra-high-speed, but also endure the influences of various factors, including different fault types, fault locations, transition resistances or fault inception angles. It will be worthy of application greatly.

Abstract: The Maximum Likelihood(ML) estimator for passive synthetic arrays incurs heavy computation when search for signal azimuth and frequency at the same time. To reduce its computational complexity, we introduced Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) to work with it. A new kind of ACO technique for continuous domain featured by Gauss kernel function is used to sample the ML spectrum, which is regarded as the fitness function in the process. The resulted estimator is called Ant Colony Optimization based ML (ACO-ML). Simulations show that ACO-ML not only reduces the computational complexity greatly but also maintains the excellent performance of the original ML estimator.

Abstract: The preprocessing for infrared sea-surface target image is very important to automatic target recognition and tracking. The preprocessing can reduce noise and enhance target, and it is the base of feature extraction and target recognition. The scene model of infrared sea-surface target image was established. The characteristics of infrared image are analyzed, and several methods of preprocessing nowadays were analyzed and compared. According to the different characteristic of infrared image, a preprocessing scheme is proposed. The experimental results indicate that in practical application appropriate methods should be chosen for different purpose. In order to get good preprocessing effects, these methods can be assembled into multi- process.

Through the example of LAN91C111 driver that is done in embedded Linux operating system, development process of network driver based on Linux operating system is analyzed.
