Abstract: Based on the principle of the simulation of the infrared thermal image, the static aircraft in the background of cement surface, at 2:00, 11:00, 14:00, are simulated under the remote sensors with spatial resolution of 5m and 10m. The evaluation is based on the radiance of target and the background extracted from the simulation image. The results indicate that the method in this paper can reflect the difference of radiance between the static target and the background which is useful in the target identification.

Abstract: The intelligent virtual environment in an artificial fish of virtual auditory system is designed in this paper. Firstly, the model of artificial fish of auditory system in intelligent virtual environment (IVE) is built. Secondly, two-layer of artificial fish of auditory perception is designed according to the biological mechanism of auditory. The first layer is based on the design of the low frequency signal. The second layer is based on the design of the high frequency signal. And using the bayesian network(BN) to realize the acoustic signals of artificial fish to learn and memory algorithm. Get a satisfactory result through animation simulation.

Abstract: Feature selection is a hot topic in the field of pattern recognition. In this paper, we present a new feature selection algorithm which is used on the soccer robot MT-R for the ball recognition. The illumination invariant color feature set is defined based on the dichromatic reflection. By means of genetic algorithm we determine the most discriminating color feature subset. Experimental results show that the proposed color feature subset achieves high object recognition accuracy.

Abstract: HIP (Host Identity Protocol) is the current standard for supporting global mobility, however the performance degrades to support micro-mobility. In accordance with the idea of micro-mobility of mobile IP, the mobile node range of motion is divided into different administrative areas, different management areas correspond to different RVS (Rendezvous Server), we can get a mechanism to support micro-mobility management. Theoretical analysis shows that such mechanism than traditional HIP has an advantage in handoff performance, not only can reduce the handoff delay, packet loss rate and increase the success rate of handoff, but also good support micro-mobility.

Abstract: This paper presented a survey on the development of smoke simulation in computer animation, with a detail introduction to the classification of the works as well as different kinds of methods employed in the field. The methods applied mainly include the particle system method, the mathematic and physics-based method and the texture based method. Each method had their advantages and shortcomings, application scopes and result characteristics. We discussed the tendency of this direction.

Abstract: Multi-processor is not a new technology, but with the development of modern silicon technology, it is possible to integrate multiple cores in a single chip package, which is called multicore processor. Whether in the desktop personal machine, or embedded applications, multicore processor has been a general trend, due to the requirement of high performance and design problems in single-core processor. Surrounded multi-screen provides a better sense of reality, which is widely used in the surveillance, military, exhibitions, and so on. With the advantages in parallel processing, multicore technology has an important practical significance and a broad prospect in these applications. In this paper, an exploration on multicore architecture is mainly focused on, from the perspectives of processing elements, memory hierarchy, and on-chip interconnection. A basic platform for multi-screen display is implemented on the Xilinx field programmable gate array (FPGA), and it illustrates that there is a 3.6 times higher performance than the corresponding single-core design, which provides a helpful guidance and revelation to further researches.

Abstract: Sea-surface wireless sensor networks (S2WSN) is a combination of many nodes forming a certain geometric shape, such as ships and sea-surface radio buoys. To satisfy the requirement of precise tracking for flying vehicle (FV) in times of exterior location datum outages, a cooperative positioning algorithm (CPA) for the FV is proposed. Time synchronization among the nodes is crucial to guarantee CPA. Taking a single-hop S2WSN as an example, the problem of low synchronization precision is resolved by two-way timing with unequal reply time (TWT-UTD). Monte Carlo simulation results show that, through optimizing the position dilution of precision among the sea-surface nodes and the FV, the absolute bias of the FV tracking by the proposed CPA is superior to that of the conventional single ship-based relative positioning method. Meanwhile, the synchronization precision is increased by more than 20% via TWT-UTD method.

Abstract: This paper mainly researched the application of TDR and FDR techniques in the intelligent maintenance of communication line. The detection and localization of communication line based on TDR and FDR techniques were detailed analyzed when disconnection fault, short-circuit fault, line bridges and other anomalies happened. Then TDR and FDR techniques were compared for user to select. After actual verification, TDR and FDR techniques can well satisfy the needs of field application. They have great application value.

Abstract: According to the traditional gray-scale value matching algorithm and its defect of high time complexity, this paper presents a matching algorithm based background subtraction. First we find moving target in the background by subtraction, and then match the template image to the target image of motion, which greatly reduces the amount of calculation and improves the matching speed. We effectively predict the target’s location in the next frame by five-point linear prediction method. Simulation shows that the algorithm is better than the traditional gray-scale matching algorithm and it has strong robustness.

Abstract: The RT-LAB real-time simulation software can expediently and rapidly apply the Simulink model to the hard-in-the-loop simulation system and greatly save the expenses for development, experiment and measurement, thus cutting down the development cycle. The use of the self-made PCI board in the RT-LAB software requires the development of its driver module by the user himself. This paper presents the idea and development processes of the PCI bus-based board driver with the RT-LAB software. Taking as an example the NI-6230 multifunctional data acquisition board driver, the paper also presents the PCI board driver's key codes and their compilation with the RT-LAB software.
