Abstract: Oil spill occurs frequently on the ocean. The amount of oil spill is 900 million tons from 2001 to 2010 in total, which resulted in enormous environment pollution and economic loss. The disadvantages of conventional methods such as pipe pumping method are high-energy-consuming, inefficient and high-cost. In this paper, a new method was proposed and a novel efficient oil spill cleaner was developed, which can recover 25kg oil per hour despite only 4kg weight of the cleaner itself. By using image recognition, advanced control algorithm, and roller extrusion, oil spill is detected and recovered automatically and effectively. The new method can decrease 60% energy consumption and triple the oil recovering rate. It can be concluded that this oil spill cleaner is an ideal prototype of the large novel marine oil spill recovery vessels.

Abstract: Applying convergence test method, the energy efficiency differentia among different regions in China is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the differentia has not been really reduced by assessment of electric consumption data. Furthermore, the different endowments of resources among various regions are considered as the main reason and the correlation analysis is used to testify the conclusion. In conclusion, there is still much space to reduce the regional energy efficiency differentia by bridging the endowment of resources gap. On the basis of the above analysis, some policy suggestions are brought up.

Abstract: Using energy balance sheets of the energy statistics yearbook of nation and provinces in China, we estimate energy consumption and carbon emissions of urban industry and building and transportation in China. first of all, the energy consumption and carbon emissions of industry are main body of total the energy consumption and carbon emissions; Secondly, the energy consumption and carbon emissions of transportation grows fastest with huge potential. As shown in panel estimation of 30 provinces’ data in China, urban industry and building and transportation have positive effect on carbon emissions, industry the biggest, and building and transportation also significant.

Abstract: The highway landscape planning is positioned to be a dynamic programming. The highway landscape planning and design process which based on its framework of spiral model has been established. It changed the traditional landscape evaluation method with the help of the method of multi-perspective and animation. The dynamics and intuition of this traditional method are poor, can’t simulate the actual results realistically, and it is troublesome to adjust the dynamic the traditional method of dynamic and intuitive way is poorer, not a real simulation of the actual effect, and the dynamic adjustment is more troublesome. This is the first paper to use CARD_1 software applications to landscape planning and design scheme of visual simulation, this way can directly call the base data in CAD, and it is convenience for engineering and technical personnel to analyze and use.

Abstract: This paper documents the problems and impacts of the tourism development in Ban Had Rin Community at Koh Phangan Island. The study focuses on sustainable tourism including the environment, socio-culture and economic aspects. This study investigates the qualitative data from the second-hand materials as the Thailand government’s publication, research papers and website on tourism involved in the phase one, and the first-hand materials as the field survey to assess the impacts of tourism on the community in the phase two. In conclusion, the study suggests that if tourism development will be successful, Ban Had Rin Community should be planned and managed in a sustainable manner.

Abstract: The relationship between urban transportation and land use is always an endless main topic in urban planning area. It is based on the theory of Nested Logit model, using the data of daily travel revealed preference survey of Beijing in 2008, set up the integrated model of mode choice and land use in this paper. The model have two levels, the first one is space choice level, which is using the land use variables, such as residential location and mixed land use; the other is mode choice level, taking the transportation variables, like travel time, travel cost etc. Parameter estimation results shown that this kind of model can reflect relevance of mode choice and land use at a more detailed level. It is also indicated that the model precision is high.

Abstract: The city is a high-density human settlement. The contradiction in the city between human activity and ecological environment is particularly serious. In order to introduce eco-civilization into the city construction, it is inevitable to construct eco-civilization city. This article analyzes the connotation and characteristics of eco-civilization city, the main theoretical framework of urban eco-civilization construction including eco-civilization city construction planning, environmental protection, ecological economy/industry, ecological security, ecological concept/act, ecological culture, ecological politics/government, ecological law/system/policy, and ecological and livable city, which is expected to provide a reference for realizing the coordinated development of regional economic and environment.

Abstract: Traditional researches on tourism carrying capacity usually concentrate on a maximum number of visitors which tourism development should not exceed. This approach to the management of tourism carrying capacity has met with limited success in practice. Taking Tianjin Binhai Tourism Area for example, this thesis explores the practical application of the theory of tourism carrying capacity. Firstly this thesis introduces the main theory of tourism carrying capacity, and analyzes the status quo of Binhai Tourism Area. Then based on in-depth interviews and content analysis, this thesis explores the main impact factors of the management of tourism carrying capacity. Finally, the author puts forward the tactics of the sustainable development of Binhai Tourism Area. This research attempts to make a breakthrough from a more application-oriented perspective, in the hope that some operable ideas might be utilized in practice.

Abstract: Regional land use/cover change is one of the hot issues of the global research. Since the proposal of “land use/cover change” research program by the International Geosphere-Biosphere Program(IGBP)and International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change(IHDP)in 1995, the research on the land use structure optimization has been increasingly important as the core issue of regional land use/cover change. The structural optimization of land use refers to the use of certain techniques and methods to make the regional future land use structure achieve the best economic, ecological and social benefits. Base on the multi-objective linear programming model and through the setting of 14 variables, this paper has proposed the land use structural optimization program for the rational land planning of Foshan, thus providing reference for the rational land planning of economically developed area.

Abstract: Taking three residential areas of different income levels in Kaifeng City, Henan Province in 2009 as a case, this study analyzed the ecological footprint of Kaifeng city using the theory and methods of ecological footprint and questionnaire survey. According to the questionnaire survey of three residential areas of Banqiao, Kangping and Longcheng xiangxieli garden, the ecological footprint of consumption of biological resources and energy consumption are calculated in these areas. The conclusions are made that the higher the income consumption level of residents, the greater the ecological footprint, and lower income residents consumption level, the smaller ecological footprint.
