Abstract: Based on DEA ,an empirical analysis was made on efficiency of safety input of construction enterprises in 2011.Furthermore,Tobit model was employed to analyze the correlation between the efficiency and safety input, and according to the results of analysis to determine the factors that affect safety input efficiency. The result indicates that accompanying the increase of safety input, the safety input efficiency, technical efficiency and scale efficiency of construction enterprise would be improved along with the increase of safety input. Meanwhile, the measures of the normative management system and improve the quality of the personnel training mode of safety was recommended to construction enterprise to decrease safety loss.

Abstract: An inventory model was developed to determine an ordering policy for the retailer under conditions of allowable shortage and two levels of delay permitted. We present a simple algebraic method to replace the use of differential calculus for determining the retailer's optimal ordering policy. A theorem is presented to obtain the optimal order quantity, and numerical examples are given to illustrate the results obtained in this paper.

Abstract: The LED chip manufacturing (LED-CM) is an important process in the LED supply chain. The make-to-order production strategy is a general production model for the LED-CM plants to satisfy the variety requirement of their customers. Because the unstable production output of the LED-CM plants, the effective order fulfillment is low and variety. Under the severely competitive pressure, the production planner will thus confront the issue of material re-issued for an insufficient output of an MO. The purpose of this effort is to meet the required due-date of this MO and to reduce the unnecessary inventory of by-product chips. Therefore, a study of the material (EPI) re-issued MO model for an insufficient output of the LED chip manufacturing plant is proposed in this paper. Three material re-issued models are proposed and detailed discussed first. A real-life LED-CM case is then utilized to demonstrate and evaluate the application and effectiveness of these models. A simulation model is also designed to complete the further experiment.

Abstract: How to improve competitive edges to meet rapidly changing technological innovations and dynamic customer needs is crucial for the survival and success of firms under a global competitive market. Many firms realize that a good supply chain management is a necessity in the intensive competitive international market. In consequence, it is important for a firm to provide products with a lower cost and good quality at the right time and place to maintain a competitive edge. In this paper, a joint replenishment model for multiple suppliers is developed using a mixed integer programming (MIP) to determine the optimal replenishment time and quantity. The model aims to solve the shortcomings of existing joint replenishment models and to increase the performance and customer satisfaction of the replenishment system. The proposed model is applied in a solar cell manufacturer to maintain a good integrated purchase and production plan.

Abstract: The LED chip manufacturing (LED-CM) is an important process in the LED supply chain. The make-to-order production strategy is a general production model for the LED-CM plants to satisfy the variety requirement of their customers. However, the special features of the unstable production output and a product composed of the chips of different feasible Bins exist in the LED-CM plant. The production planner will confront the issue of effective inventory control and exact due-date performance under the severely competitive pressure. Therefore an effective order fulfillment procedure for production planners is a required key issue to accomplish the inventory control and exact due-date performance. An order fulfillment model for production planner is thus proposed in this paper to meet the requirement of the LED-CM plants. A real-life LED-CM case is also utilized to demonstrate and evaluate the application and effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract: Semiconductor manufacturing is a capital-intensive and high-tech industry. In order to reduce installation cost and increase production flexibility, twin-fab concept has been established over the past decade, which means two neighboring fabs can be connected to each other by automatic transportation system (AMHS). The capacity backup can be performed between twin fabs to increase whole performance. In this work, a performance evaluation model is proposed to estimate the whole production performance of twin fabs under backup policy. Two situations of capacity shortage are discussed, temporary and permanent capacity shortage. The queuing theory and Little’s Law are used in this model. Besides, the expected value is applied for the estimation of the transportation time under backup activities. Based on the evaluation model, managers can obtain an appropriate estimation of performance under capacity backup in twin-fab environment, which will help to get the reliable information for decision making.

Abstract: DRAM industry is not only among the largest manufacturing industries in the world, but also the most competitive. Furthermore, due to DRAM business is characterized by short life cycles, along with highly competition, the manufacturers are forced to migrate to advanced technology quickly. Under this circumstance, the manufacturers have to launch new technology and purchase generational equipment to meet the market demand and reduce manufacturing cost frequently. This paper investigates the technology generational transition of DRAM industry from manufacturing and planning perspectives. The concept of TOC is applied to schedule the production plan of the new/old products. Regarding to shop floor control, three definitions of cycle time are used to diagnose the production status. Finally, the workload ratio of bottleneck is used for the release decision to adjust the rhythm of production.

Abstract: This paper study multiple warehouses emergency supplies dispatch problem. Emergency dispatch vehicles route problem is different from traditional vehicle route problem, it does not take minimization freight, driving distance or driving total time as the goal, but take a minimization unmet needs and delay time as the goal. We use robust operator to transfer multiple warehouses emergency dispatch model into robust counterpart model, and verifying the correctness of the model with number experiment.

Abstract: A supply chain profit coordination mechanism based on JIT lot-splitting, which involves a two stage supply chain consisted of a supplier and a buyer, is discussed. Based on the bargaining power of supplier, the profit coordination with and without incentives are respectively explored. For the total cost minimizations of buyer and supplier separately, two stage stackelberg leader-follower game models, in which buyer is the leader and supplier is the follower, are established. Supplier applies JIT delivery to reduce buyer’s cost and the total cost of the supply chain via dividing buyer’s order per batch into some batches to deliver. Finally, a numerical example and a simulation analysis are given and the impact of the variation of relative parameters on the total cost saving of buyer, supplier and system is discussed. In addition, the efficiency of game decision on the basis of JIT lot-splitting is proved.

Abstract: High-tech firms are usually under a dynamically changing and fierce competitive environment these days. In order to survive in such an intensive competitive international market, a firm not only needs to manufacture outstanding products that meet the demands of its customers, it also needs to have a comprehensive supply chain management. To achieve the benefits of buyer-supplier integration, in terms of increased internal efficiency and profitability of the players in a supply chain, the identification of viable suppliers is a preliminary step that needs to be properly managed. Thus, to be cost competitive and to acquire decent profit in the market, the selection of the most appropriate suppliers is essential. In this paper, a supplier selection model is constructed by applying methodologies including decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) and analytic network process (ANP) to determine the interrelationship among the evaluation criteria and to select the most appropriate suppliers for cooperation.
