Abstract: Vincristine (VCR) has been an important first-line anti-cancer drugs, since its inception in 1962.And it is the common treatment drugs of acute leukemia. The mechanism of the action of VCR is the induction of apoptosis in leukemic cells. However, VCR neurotoxicity and its adverse reactions such as bone marrow suppression, neutropenia, anemia and limit its clinical use. The effect of chemotherapy has been severly affected. Rg3 monomer is a natural active ingredient extracted from ginseng, and it can induce apoptosis of tumor cells with very low toxicity to normal cells . In recent years , a series of studies were carried out aimed at reducing the adverse reactions of the VCR , enhancing drug sensitivity[1-3].In this study, the combined effects of VCR and Rg3 monomer in K562 cells cultured in vitro were investigated to provide Rg3 monomer of Ginseng is a sensitizer of chemotherapy drugs as VCR to acute leukemia Cells. We conclude that Rg3 monomer can improve the sensitivity of leukemia cells to VCR according to our experimental results.

Abstract: To investigate the expression of CD4+CD25+T cells and the Foxp3 in peripheral blood of rheumatoid arthritis(RA),and to analyze the relationship between their activities and patho- genesis. The number of CD4+CD25+T lymphocytes in the peripheral blood and Foxp3 mRNA expression on peripheral blood monocytes of 48 RA patients and 35 normal controls were analyzed by three-color FACs analysis and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT- PCR).The expression of CD4+CD25+T cells RA patients in active group was significantly lower than that in remission group and healthy controls(P0.05); The relationship between peripheral blood CD4+CD25+Tregcells as well as the Foxp3 mRNA and active renal score was negatively correlated. The expression of CD4+CD25+Tregcells and the Foxp3 mRNA of peripheral blood in RA patients is abnormal and it is correlated with pathogenesis and activity of RA.

Abstract: To investigate DcR3 mRNA levels of peripheral blood monocytes in rheumatoid arthritis(RA),and analyzes the correlation between the DcR3 Levels of Peripheral Blood and the Disease Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patient. The expression levels of DcR3 mRNA in peripheral Blood monocytes of 82 RA patients and 53 healthy controls were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction. The expression levels of DcR3 mRNA of active stage in RA patients were higher than that of remission stage in RA patients and healthy controls(P<0.05); The correlationships between DcR3 mRNA levels and active renal score (DAS28)show positive correlation. The expression levels of peripheral blood DcR3 does significant increase in RA active patients and it is closely related with the activity of the disease which suggesting that DcR3 migh involved in the pathological process.

Abstract: The aim of the study was to investigate bamboo shoots protein extraction. A Box-Behnken design (BBD) was applied through the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to determine the effects of pH, temperature and solid-liquid ratio during Phyllostachys pubescens bamboo shoots protein extraction. Regression analysis was applied on the data obtained. The more relevant variables were pH, liquid-solid ratio. The coefficient determination (R2 = 0.9258) was good for the second-order model. Maximum yield was 10.77±2.28% obtained when pH, liquid-solid ratio, temperature and extraction time were 12, 32.24, 46.12°C and 20 min, respectively. The result was help to design the process of optimal protein extraction from Phyllostachys pubescens bamboo shoots.

Abstract: MicroRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that act at the post-transcriptional level, regulating protein expression by repressing translation or destabilizing mRNA target. We searched information about miR-155 in miRBase. Target genes of miR-155 are predicted by four miRNA target gene prediction softwares. The result shows that miR-155 was involved in proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. These results can contribute to further study on the role of microRNA in diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Abstract: With the development of heart pumps, more and more commercial artificial heart have been applied to clinic use. However, most of the products produce some discomfort to human body, which coudn’t meet the physiological requirements of patients. Therefore, further improvement and enhancement for these products are needed and adopting bionic control using neural network is an effective method to improve heart pumps’ comfort. A neural network model was established in this paper according to the relationship among the pressure head, the motor power and the rotating speed using using Based on neural network software Neuroshell2. Based on the defined appropriate activation function, a lot of data were studied and trained for optimization of the neural network model and determination of weights and deviations . Finally, the bionic control system was built and the experiments of the control system were conducted. The results reveal that the error measured values and the actual values was within 5% and acceptable and that the bionic control system using neural network is proved to improve the the comfort after implantation of blood pumps.

Abstract: Red wines were made from Vitis vinifera cv. Cabernet Sauvignon in China at different methods of maceration. The effects of adding seeds during maceration on the quality characteristics, in terms of colour, aroma profile and sensory characteristics, of the wines before bottling were evaluated, and made a comparison with the effects of adding skins. Seed contact treatments raised wine colour intensity, proanthocyanidins, tannins, and polyphenols content in comparison to the control wines. However, as indicated in the sensory evolution, the significant increase in astringency intensity was found in the wines with seed contact. Besides, the bitterness of the red wine also increased in the wines with seed contact, but it was not significantly

Abstract: A cellular automata model with inhomogeneity and mobility was presented. The inhomogeneity in individuals’ behaviors was considered by assigning the distance on their neighbors, varying levels of infectivity and susceptibility. The individual mobility was reflected by random walk cellular automata. The proposed model can serve as a basis to simulate influenza A (H1N1) based on real data. We studied the effect of two population movement parameters on the epidemic propagation: the percentage and the max-distance of population movement. The results show that the epidemic spreading is more sensitive to the former. The infected individuals are positive growth while the percentage of population movement increases. And the number of infected individual eventually stabilizes in the case of plotting the relation of the max-distance against the infected.

Abstract: The fruit of Viburnum awabuki is an elliptical berry. The crude extract and its four fractions derived from the peel of the fruit Viburnum awabuki were evaluated for the DPPH radical scavenging ability(DRSA), hydroxyl radical scavenging capacity(HRSA) and reducing power(RP), and the content of some antioxidative compounds and the relationships between these antioxidative compounds and antioxidant activities of the crude extract (CE) and its four fractions were investigated. The results showed that the ethyl acetate-soluble fraction (EAF) was the richest fraction in total flavonoids, ascorbic acid content (45.34 and 8.92 mg/g, respectively). The ethyl acetate-soluble fraction showed good DPPH radical-scavenging activity and reducing power, while the crude extract (CE) possessed better hydroxyl radical-scavenging than other fractions. There were statistically significant correlations between some antioxidants and antioxidant activities.

Abstract: The fruit of Viburnum odoratissimum is an elliptical berry. The aims of our study were the quantification of some antioxidants using colorimetric assays and the determination of antioxidant activities by three methods, and the relationships between these bioactive compounds and antioxidant activities of the crude extract (CE) and its four fractions derived from the seed of the fruit of Viburnum odoratissimum were investigated. The results showed that the n-butanol-soluble fraction (BF)was the richest fraction in total flavonoids and total phenolic. The ethyl acetate-soluble fraction (EAF) and BF showed good superoxide radical scavenging activity(SRSA) and reducing power(RP), while the petroleum ether-soluble fraction(PEF) possessed the highest inhibiting lipid peroxidantion activity(LPA).There were statistically significant correlations between some antioxidants and antioxidant activities.
