Abstract: We use TEM to study the synergids in sugar beet, so as to provide more information for reproductive biology of angiosperm. Results were as follows: two synergids were similar in flower bud stage. Both of them show polarity with developed filiform apparatus (FA) at micropyle end and lacked cell wall at chalazal end. Then electron density in one synergid increased which suggested cell degeneration began. Complete degeneration finished before pollination. Organelles including mitochondrium, plastids and ribosomes gradually increased in the other synergid (persistent synergid). Metabolism of persistent synergid gradually enhanced. It began to degenerate when zygote had alveolate cell wall at the chalazal end, while completely degeneration and disappearance of FA took place at late stage of zygote. The results suggested that degeneration of one synergid in sugar beet must be triggered by other stimulation than pollination and pollen tube growth. As a transfer cell, persistent synergid transported nutrition for the development of embryo sac.

Abstract: To investigate the effect and the mechanism of compound injection of Shenqi (Codonopsis and Astragalus) on Docetaxel resistance of human lung adenocarcinoma cell A549/ DTX. The cytotoxicities of Shenqi Injection were assayed with the MTT method, the effects of Shenqi Injection on apoptosis induced by Docetaxel in A549/ DTX was examined by flow cytometry (FCM). The expression levels of apoptosis regulator Bc1-2 and Bax were detected by Western blot. After treatment with Shenqi Injection for 24 hours, results showed that 15 μL / mL Shenqi Injection significantly increased toxicity of Docetaxel on A549/DTX. Shenqi Injection could reverse the Docetaxel resistance in A549/ DTX in vitro. The drug resistance reversal index (RI) was equal to 2.71 analyzed with MTT method. Shenqi Injection could enhance the apoptosis effect of Docetaxel on A549/DTX. We conclude that Shenqi Injection can reverse the drug resistance on A549/DTX, and its mechanism is to promote apoptosis may be related with the up-regulation of Bc1-2 expression and down-regulation of Bax expression.

Abstract: It is a good therapeutic method that add exogenous ROS to trigger oxidative stress causing death of cancer cells. In the present study, we investigated the inhibitory effects of 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid (TBA), a polyhydroxyphenolic compound, on high metastatic human lung cancer cell line (95-D) based on inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS). The experiments in vitro showed that 95-D cell viability was inhibited by various amounts of TBA and death was induced in a dose-dependent manner. The possible mechanism was that TBA can induce cell death by decreasing mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP; ΔΨm) and increasing hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) level. These results imply that TBA efficiently induces death in 95-D lung cancer cells and that TBA exerts cytotoxicity on cancer cells by its pro-oxidative activity.

Abstract: This paper presents a simulation modeling of epidemic with the isolated intervention based on the theory of Cellular Automata, which is considering the heterogeneity and mobility of the individuals. An idea of the random walk Cellular Automata is used to reflecting the characteristics of the mobility of individuals, by defining the proportion and the largest step of individuals’ movement. What’s more, the model simulates the impact of the disease duration and the isolated intensity on the spreading of epidemic, and the simulation result is coincidence with the macroscopic characteristics of epidemic controlled by isolation intervention. It offers powerful theoretical support for the government to prevent and control the spread of epidemic.

Abstract: The popularity and improvement of resident’s electronic health records plays a vital role in the improvement of human’s overall health. The basic situation of the construction of residents electronic health records and the implementation of the project progress in a few representative countries all over the world in recent years were been summarized and analyzed in this paper after thorough investigation and research. Some problems existing in the construction and Application process of residents electronic health records were been pointed out, and the development focus of residents electronic health records project in next few years were been pointed out to be the popularize and strengthen of the application of data mining.

Abstract: Abstract:Objective: To investigate whether any association exists between genetic polymorphism in CYP2B6 c.516G>T and individual susceptibility to acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Methods: Our study group consisted of 96 ALL patients(T-ALL 17 cases, B-ALL 79 cases) and 348 unrelated healthy newborn volunteers as a control group. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood and cord blood leukocytes. We genotyped CYP2B6 c.516G>T polymorphism by use of PCR with sequence-specific primers (PCR-SSP). The data were analyzed statistically using chi-square and logistic regression analyses. Results: The frequencies of GG genotype were 74.14%, 57.29%, 29.41% and 63.29%, and GT genotype were 23.85%, 37.50%, 64.71% and 31.65%, and TT genotype were 2.01%, 5.21%, 5.88% and 5.06% in control group, ALL, T-ALL, and B-ALL cases, respectively. Chi-square test showed a significant correlation between the CYP2B6 c.516G>T polymorphism GT genotype and ALL patients (OR=2.035, 95%CI=1.249-3.313, P=0.004); and T-ALL patients (OR=6.839, 95%CI=2.309-20.252, P=0.000); whereas and B-ALL patients (OR=1.554, 95%CI=0.906-2.667, P=0.108). Conclusions: This study revealed the CYP2B6 c.516GT genotype may be a risk factor to the development of ALL, especially T-ALL.

Abstract: [Objective] This paper aims to make a bioinformatics analysis on the functional site and fingerprint of CagI protein in helicobacter pylori cag pathogenicity island and further explore the functions of CagM protein. [Methods] Use PROSITE SCAN: http://www.expasy.ch/cgi-bin/ prosite/PSScan.cgi server to search the fingerprint sequence of CagI protein and analyze and discuss the possible functions. [Results] The search of PROSITE SCAN found that CagI protein has four kinds of functional sites: N-glycosylation site, protein kinase C phosphorylation site, casein kinase II phosphorylation site, and myristoylation acting site; the search of fingerPRINTScan and printsBLAST server found sixteen fingerprint tags of CagI protein: helicobacter pylori vacuolating toxin tag; flagellin tag; ATP synthetase δ subunit tag; helicobacter pylori outer membrane protein family tag, etc. It is predicted preliminarily that CagI protein also has these functions. [Conclusion] As a kind of secretory protein, CagI protein will be secreted to the outer membrane to form the membrane protein, which will become one part of elicobacter pylori IV type production secretion pilus involved in signal transduction and material transportation and acting as a messenger or carrier, and it many have hydrolase activity and ATP/GTP enzyme activity.*Fund program: National Nature Science Foundation Project (30870096); National Science Foundation Project in Jiangsu Colleges (08KJB310001)

Abstract: [Objective]This paper aims to make a bioinformatics analysis on the homology of cagM nucleotide sequence and protein sequence in Helicobacter pylori cag pathogenicity island, calculate the protein conservatism and evolutionary process, and research the functions of the protein. [Methods]Use Clustal W software to make multiple sequence analysis, edit the results with GeneDOC software, and detect the variable sites and homology.[Results] The homology between cagM gene and the nucleotide sequence of other HP bacterial strains in GenBank is 96%~98%, the homology between cagM gene and cagM gene is 98%~99%, so the nucleotide sequence and protein sequence have high conservatism.[Conclusion]CagM gene is very conservative and it plays an important role in the process of H. Pylori evolution; CagM gene is very conservative and it has important functions in helicobacter pylori; as an important means of bioinformatics, homology not only can calculate the protein conservatism and evolutionary process, but also can find the similar functions of the protein.
