Abstract: The study investigated the factors influencing e-learning adoption behavior of instructors of a public university in Sri Lanka. The analysis of various models used to study the adoption behavior reveals that cultural factors were neglected. Therefore an e-learning adoption model was proposed considering cultural factors and the model was tested among instructors. The findings of this research have significant effects on the suitability of adopting an e-learning system at this university. However it is recommended that this study should be extended to include instructors belonging to multi-ethnic groups in all universities in Sri Lanka.

Abstract: In this paper, through distributed system graduate course teaching reform, explore the graduate students’ innovation ability training of the new mode and new methods. In teaching content, breaking the traditional course teaching according to fixed material or outline teaching model, through the technical project or technical report forms, and discussion with the students in common to distributed system related to the current hot technology and hot research direction. And then it combined the students' study direction or research subject with the course hot technologies to direct research work, so has received the better teaching effect. It explores a new approach which is useful to computer discipline and the graduate cultivation of innovative ability.

Abstract: This study are to understand the current state of the students’ meta-cognition, their attitude toward problem solving ability and to explore the relationship between the two. Using descriptive statistics, t-tests, Pearson product-moment correlation, and regression analysis, there was a moderate correlation (r = .531, p<.05*) between the subjects’ meta-cognition and problem solving ability. Using simple regression analysis, the findings showed that meta-cognition had significant predictive power on problem solving ability.

Abstract: According to the weak foundation of independent college students and the characteristics of anolog electronic technology course, project-based teaching method was proposed to explore the teaching reform theory and practice. Some reform ideas of the project-based teaching are described and an example of audio power amplifier is introduced. Practice of teaching students shows that project-based teaching method can stimulate their learning interest, train their innovative ability and increase their comprehensive ability.

Abstract: The application of CSCW (Computer Supported Cooperative Work) technology in distance education (DE) is a new direction and trend. This paper introduced CSCW technology , and then explored the function and connection of CSCW in the distance education. Finally it concluded the design principles of the distance education system based on CSCW technology, constructed a system model which is centered on cooperation, and also introduced its function briefly.

Abstract: This paper studied the problem of comprehensive quality evaluation for college students, and constructed the optimal index system for evaluating the college students’ comprehensive ability, and then proposed a comprehensive ability evaluation model based on fuzzy multiple attribute decision making method. An application example of students’ comprehensive ability evaluation is given to show the feasibility and rationality of the evaluation model.

Abstract: It is an important try of the Chinese higher education reform that the Ministry of Education put the Excellent Engineer Education Training Plan (EEETP) into practice in order to improve the comprehensive ability level of Chinese higher university graduates, which can integrate the graduates into actual industrial production process as soon as possible in some colleges and universities. In the implementation of the excellent engineers training, Nanjing Institute of Technology (NJIT) concentrates their effort on the modularized teaching and the project-faced teaching, and on the construction of the productive training process, establishes the evaluation system of teaching process, and emphasizes the training quality assessment of the academic and practical courses so that quasi-excellent engineer students enable them to improve their training quality, and obtain a better learning effect.

Abstract: “Excellent Engineers Training Program” which was proposed by Chinese Ministry of Education is an important plan to train excellent engineers. The major of Harbor Waterway and Coastal Engineering is strongly needed by social and economic development in the recent years. It is both a challenge and an opportunity to carry out the Excellent Engineering Program. This paper firstly made an analysis of problems in the engineering and technical personnel training in China. And it also highlighted the factors when exploring and innovating the training work of Excellent Harbor Waterway and Coastal Engineering Engineers. Moreover, the exploratory work of the major of Harbor, Coastal and Offshore Engineering in Hohai University for “Excellent Engineers Training Program” has been introduced.

Abstract: Electrician machine practice is an important engineering practice teaching element in the cultivation plan of undergraduate student of electricity. The task- driven teaching method is adopted in order to improve the quality of practice teaching, and to cultivate the ability of practice and creativity in the electrician machine practice. This paper discusses the mission design and implementation process which based on constructivist task-driven teaching method in the teaching of electrician machine practice, and points out several questions which should be noticed in the practice. The practice approves the application of task- driven teaching method in electrician machine practice can improve the teaching quality through excavating the student’s practice and creativity ability and cultivate the capability of independent thinking ,exploration and reclamation more effectively.

Abstract: Computer science and technology is playing more and more important role in information management major, and the computer basic course is an important foundation course. In order to improve the teaching quality for teachers and develop the computer literacy for students, this paper analyzes the teaching reform and the application of computer basic course for information management major. Combining the mode of modular teaching and classified teaching mode, the effects of the mode of "one reforming and three combining" in the teaching are elaborated.
