Abstract: Contemporary Chinese large-scale urban plaza design has always overly focused on composition and form, rather than focusing on users behavioral characteristics. Daily leisure activities at plaza are taken as the research object. Based on wayfinding theory, walking test was designed. Then utilized GPS to document the walking data of testees and transformed the data into vector graphics. Using this method, the correlation between walking characteristics and plaza space is built, which explains the interaction between behavior at plaza and environment. The concept of large-scale plaza micro-environment is brought forward, offering brand-new thread of argument for plaza design.

Abstract: This paper proposed a new method of describing street glare. Glare is a typical light environment, it is affected by streetlights and street surface conditions. It impact on street safety. This paper based on survey of Tianjin, Changsha, Zhengzhou street area, included optical lights types, height of light bulbs, distance between tow lights, street surface brightness, illumination and other factors examination and record. Survey date had been used to set 36 street lighting simulated models and compare with the calculation. The output for the analysis is a series of maps reflecting the relationship between street glare environment and its factors. The case study proved that street lighting environment is closely associated with streetlights bulbs brightness and its installation site. The results show that high level of light brightness will lead to high level of glare and higher light bulbs will increase glare.

Abstract: RBD(Recreational Business District) has now been a crucial segment of urban system, where tourism, recreation and commercial activities take Place. It has also been the most vital area in the city. This paper bases on the functions and development characteristics of urban RBD, taking Jing'an Temple RBD, Shanghai as example, analyzing Current development problems and dilemma the RBD facing with, and putting forward its future spatial development strategy. Providing a possible develop direction for other RBD construction to consult.

Abstract: In the context of rapid increase in car drivers and all citizens being drivers, the driving experience of traffic accident perpetrators has showed a shorter trend. The driver is an important factor that influences the traffic accident, and the drivers behaviors such as speeding, driving on wrong lane and others are the main factors causing traffic accidents. As for the human factor influencing the traffic safety, it is very important to conduct road safety education and publicity work.

Abstract: Gobi desert highway in the road alignment and roadside environment has obvious characteristics. Based on the analysis of accident forms and accident causes can be concluded, the accident on continuous downgrade has a direct relationship with poor alignment, low-load driving operation, and monotonous roadside environment. To this end, the paper put forward specific security measures for ease fatigue and continuous downgrade alert, such as safety facilities design, speed management, service facilities optimization, etc. in order to significantly reduce the accident rate and eliminate major accident hidden dangers for continuous downgrade highway on Gobi desert.

Abstract: The released and implemented traffic signals are analyzed, and the important content on the application of traffic signals is studied, which can provide help on the scientific establishment of road traffic signals. The related content about the classification, sequence, setting conditions and setting quantity of the road traffic signals is explained in detailed. Two design schemes of right-turning vehicle control mode are proposed. The conversion sequence of traffic signals and setting of crosswalk signals are respectively studied. The Opinions for the next revision is proposed according to the problems in present technique standard.

Abstract: The paper proposes a model to solve distribution center location considering inventory costs and both two decision makers with different objectives - location planners and customers. The model based on both the upper and lower policymakers has great significance, besides, the paper uses genetic algorithm to solve the model, and finally an example prove the model and algorithm are feasible.

Abstract: Take Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway for example. By adopting the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) attempt to analyze mode from the perspective of volatility of high speed railway passenger flow fluctuation signal. Constructed the ensemble empirical mode decomposition-gray support vector machine (EEMD-GSVM) short-term forecasting model which fuse the gray generation and support vector machine with the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD). Finally, by the accuracy of predicted results, explains the EEMD-GSVM model has the better adaptability.

Abstract: As a typical traffic bottleneck, the freeway weaving section is one source of vehicle conflict and an accident-prone area. This paper presents a cellular automaton model to characterize accident-induced traffic behavior around the weaving section, in which different accident sites are considered. The spatial-temporal profiles are presented after the numerical simulation. It is shown that the accident car not only causes a local jam behind the accident car, but also causes vehicles to cluster in the bypass lane. The accident occurring in lane 1 (the left lane) in the weaving section are more inclined to cause traffic jam and the decrease of traffic capacity than in lane 2 (the right lane). Furthermore, the curves of saturated flux of weaving section against different accident sites are given. It is found that the capacity of weaving section will decrease fastest when the accident is located in the downstream of weaving section.

Abstract: Delay is an important indicator for the evaluation of service level of urban road intersection and vehicle traffic efficiency. Taking Fu Xing Road and Xi Cui Road intersection for example, the thesis uses the spot sample method and VISSIM5.0 simulation method to compare and analyze the delay of this intersection. And the thesis verifies the feasibility, accuracy and practicality to analyze the delay of intersection using the VISSIM simulation method.
